Kevin James was pretty funny in this movie. He's good at putting himself in situations that allow him to beat the crap out his own body. He reminded me of Chris Farley in this movie. It seemed like he did all of his own stunts. Lots of falls and funny situations. (the sucker scene) All in all a very funny movie.

I do not think this was Kevin James best work. I do not feel that it matched his comedic quality. I also feel that this film was not properly rated. I took several 9y.o and noticed the theater filled with kids much younger. I felt the language was a little much as well as some of the statements and violence. This would have been a great movie, had they stuck to the humor and left out the lanuage.

Definitely funny. Story line is a bit corny, but you can relate to the "nice guy" in Paul Blart. You definitely feel sorry and connect with him. Several scenes have laugh-out-loud quality. The last 1/3 of the movie has losts of suspense and laughs.

The pratfalls and physical comedy of Kevin James are what carries this movie. It has all the earmarks of a Happy Madison Productions movie (Adam Sandler). James' Paul Blart is a loveable loser who can't get a break, gets no respect and cxan't find his way around women. The scenes with his daughter are touching. But character development for the girl he pines for is missing, and in the end is reduced to some oddball expressions. Don't know if it was scripting or poor acting. James did alright in his first shot as a lead comedy actor. But the laughs were a a little too far apart. See it, but be sure to pay the matinee price.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Its exactly what we needed, something so unlike "real life" right now. We expected the laughs to be from the commercials but there was so much more to it! We went to this movie as a family, children and grandchildren. The movie was very funny and the kids totally enjoyed it. I laughed at the grandkids laughing at the movie.

This movie was great! I never stopped laughing. I took 2 of my boys, ages 10 and 12, and they loved it as well. I went because they wanted to see it, but I think I enjoyed it more than they did!!
