AMC Studio 30: IMAX creates a poor viewing environment. The staff only displayed contempt for the customers. My assessment of the movie was Christian Bale’s Batman voice became annoying fast, the story line was great. I would have cut the movie to a 90 minutes. I feel sorry for the actor that has to play the Joker on the next movie. Heath Ledger set the bar high and displayed a perfect psychopath.

I am SO glad I got the chance to see Dark Knight on IMAX, and miraculously, before I knew anything about the plot twists.
I've heard Leger is likely to get a posthumous Oscar nomination for this, and after seeing his performance, he should without question win one.
I loved everything about this film, it was gritty, dark, and visually amazing. The cast is perfect, and Michael Caine just always makes me smile. I was riveted through the entire thing, and I'd see it again right now.
If you haven't seen it, DO IT NOW. Best movie I've seen in a long time.

This movie was the absolute best Batman movie ever. The IMAX experience made it even better, because I loved it the first time around too! But the IMAX is something completely different. I felt like I was IN the movie. I love Heath and I love Batman!

I took my son to see this movie in the Imax theatre. I am not the biggest fan of superhero movies but have to say that this is one of THE BEST movies I have ever seen, and the Imax made it an amazing experience for both of us. I loved it and so did my 14 yr. old. Heath Ledger was phenomenal!! Bale was great. I definitely recommend this movie to all. It was the first movie I've walked out of in a long time where I just thought, WOW!!!!

Great movie, Christian Bale was the sexiest I've ever seen him and Heath was surprisingly sinister. Two-face was less than believable though, ummm you can't move your eyeball without eyelids and where was all the slobber and goo that would have been pouring from his face? Still it was a great adult action movie!

As you can tell from both user and critic reviews, The Dark Knight is simply the best superhero movie of all time. If you can, see it on an IMAX screen. A few action scenes and several aerial shots were specifically shot for IMAX. In fact, a lighter IMAX camera was made just for The Dark Knight.
If you can't make it out to an IMAX screen, don't worry. The lack of IMAX takes absolutely nothing away from the movie.

Let me start by saying that I rarley go to the theatre these days. I normaly wait for DVD release. But when I heard that The Dark Night was showning at the Imax theatre I couldnt pass it up. This movie was the best I have seen in a long time!!! Heath Ledger was outstanding. He not only played the part of the joker. He WAS the joker. He lived it. He owned it. Christian Bale was superb as Batman and the two played off of each other like true masters of thier craft. I not only would se this again but I plan on buying it when it releases to DVD. But you have to see this in the Imax. The joker will draw you in every time he is on the screen.

As a Batman fan of 45+ years, I have to say Chris Nolan and company "get it!" Their 2 movies "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" are the movies about Batman that I have looked forward to. THANK YOU! TDK is a movie that reveals a new tidbit every time I see it. Definitely lives up to the hype. A must see for every fan of the caped crusader. We finally get a glimpse of his detective abilities, not just his physical prowess. I hope Nolan and Bale (and the rest) make another film. This style of Batman could continue, just like James Bond.

I went to this movie because my husband goes to chick flicks with me. Normally this is not the type of movie I would like to see. That said, however, this movie was fabulous! It was fast paced and the special effects were excellent. There are no words to describe Heath Ledger's performance. He owns the role and he made the comic book creation into something I don't even think the author intended but would have loved! Heath plays The Joker as if he were a real person. Seeing him in the role is reason enough to go. I loved Christain Bale as Batman too. I like him in anything but it was great to see him play a "normal" person for a change...a hero! I think I've only seen the Batman with Michael Keeton so I don't have much to compare. I wouldn't see a George Clooney movie on a bet,. Ladies, go to Batman even if you think you might not like it. It is a roller coaster thrill ride of a movie. Excellent!

This movie beat my expectations. With all the hype I thought that the movie would not live up. But I was wrong, the movie was amazing. Especially in IMAX. The acting was great. The action was great. Although I believe that TwoFace took away from some of the momentum with the popping out eyeball look. They showed his mangled face too much and It took away from the performance. I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone. If you have an IMAX Theatre in your area and can see it this way, definitely check it out in IMAX it is incredible!! You feel every vibration the views of the buildings is incredible. Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker is unbelievable. I like Jack Nicholson, but Heath's performance is a 10+. I just don't know if this film would be too intense for maybe kids under 10, especially in the IMAX.

But if your itching for the Imax, get there an hour and a half early if you've notice that screen time you ordered is sold out. Because you need to be sitting at the highest point and dead center to the screen. Anything else -left, right or at the bottom- is a wasted 13 bucks! Even for myself, sitting near the top center, I left with a little bit of nausea because I still had to look up when the screen sifted to Imax (Don't be fooled, the screen is only filled fully during the action and not the dialogs!)

Not only is The Dark Knight the best comic book movie ever made it is simply one of the greatest movies made during this generation. Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker is unmatched by any other comic book villian and easily place him as one of the greatest movie villans of all time. Christian Bale once again showed why he is by far the superior Bruce Wayne and Batman as his counterparts nailed either one or the other Christian has perfected both persona's of the character. Gary Oldman was is usual amazing self. And Aaron Eckhart did a magnificent job as both Gothams "white knight" Harvey Dent and as his villianous counterpart Harvey Two Face. Great acting combined with great directing and a tight story tied together with amazing action sequences make The Dark Knight a movie we will be calling "classic" years from now.

I was very impressed with the movie, I have to agree that Heath Ledgers performance is incredible but I have to say, his performance alone did not make the movie. I think all the main actors did a fabulous job, everyone was giving a great performace. That kind of magic does not come around often.

I was looking forward to seeing this movie for a year now. I loved the movie. Heath did an amazing job as Joker, and Christian Bale is the second best Batman ever, I just wish he would stop whispering and use his normal voice. Highly recommended!

This was my first IMax experience, and I can honestly say it was AMAZING. The special effects made me feel like I was in the middle of Gotham. Unforgetable.
