This movie was stupid and boring. The jokes were lame and an insult to anyone's intelligence. My husband and son left to go watch The Hangover. Hi, If your a fan of Jack Black and of the guy from the movie Juno then this is the movie for you. I'm not really a fan of either one. The movie did have a few funny moments. Other than that though the movie was pretty stupid. I really wouldn't reccomend it to anyone really. It isn't worth the money for the tickets. It was pretty boring. I'm not really a huge fan of comedy. I only went to see it because my friend wanted to see it. I would rather watch a comedy with Robbin Williams then with any of theses two actors.

I love Micheal Cera and Hank Azaria but this one didn't work. The funniest lines were in the trailer. I prefere Jack Black in his more serious stuff like "The Holiday". I love Jack Black - but not in this movie. I thought he, along with Michael Cera would be hilarious but the laughs were too few and far between to balance out the mostly horrible writing. I couldn't believe it was PG-13 with very crude humor not fitting for young teens at all. I've only walked out on a couple of movies in my entire life and this was one...I made about an hour and 5 minutes until I just gave up. Maybe a rental but not worth a ticket.

I've been a Michael Cera fan from his days in "Arrested Development", and this movie really let me down. While I don't blame Cera for this flop, I was a little disappointed in his role in the film. I personally don't think that Jack Black has what it takes to be a leading man in any type of film. The only humorous part of the movie was the last 15 minutes - other than that, a complete waste of time.

The two main actors did the best with what they were given, but what they were given was a poor mixture of ingredients, not very well blended together. There were some extremely funny bits in this movie, but it was more like a bunch of biblically themed skits just run together. Plus, when you have a scene of one of your main characters literally eating poo off of the ground and another peeing in his own face, you had better have some extraordinary material to back it up, and this movie just didn't.

I love the cast and trailers and the family was really excited to see it. I didn't expect a cerebral comedy but this was so far below expectations I can't even quantify. We all left disappointed. Jack Black tried but even the actors seemed to know this one was a loser.
