The movie was every bit as good as the book. I cannot wait for the second one to come out! Both Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson did a fantastic job at capturing the spirit of the characters.

So i love the series more than almost anything i own! first off rob pattinson is one of the worst actors i have seen yes yes i know he is supposed to be in pain during biology but he looks demented seriously i could prob. play edward better. next up bella wasnt half bad if it wasn't for her wierd portrayal of the being bitten part seriously! third off the screeplay was TERRIBLE! it left out so many important parts & if someone hasn't read the book the movie will make aboslutely NO sense! the actors for the Cullens were AMAZING! perfect so everyone excpet the TWO most important characters were really good soo i still love the book no matter what and i will still go see the next movies but this one has failed me and it makes me very sad.

Robert Pattinson (Edward) is amazing. Some of the characters weren't what I had pictured based on the description in the book, but they did an incredible job! There were parts that were very comical and parts that just made your heart drop from sweetness. If you loved the book you will definitely love the movie. It's definitely worth seeing!

For my daughters birthday,all she wonted was to see the movie Twilight. She has read all the books and has been watching the previews for months. She was very happy with the movie and can not wait until the next one is out. I thought I would not like the movie with all the vampire stuff but it was very good. We both had a couple of tears during the movie.

Okay, knowing there is no way they could fit in all the book's details into a 2 hour movie, I went in expecting parts to be cut. But they managed to compress things very well! The casting was perfect! Almost as I had imagined them when reading the books! I was amazed how they handled the whole "daylight" scene - and the love/chemistry between Bella & Edward was spot-on! It was a wonderful movie - I want the soundtrack! Can't wait for the other 3 books to be made into movies, and the DVD's to come out! This is NOT just a movie for the "tweenies" - I'm 54 years old and hooked as well!

Twilight lived up to everything I had thought it would be. I was worried that the images that I had while reading would be shattered but I was wrong. The casting was on target. The scenery was beautiful, the love story was there and I want to see it again.

I really did love the movie and yes not everything would be in the movie because then we would have a three or four hour movie on our hands. I loved all four books so it was only natural to love the movie. Seeing the first book brought to life was really cool.

I think it would be wise to have read the book prior to seeing the movie, all in all it was as good as it could be for only a 2 hour movie. Another half hour and some added dialogue between Edward and Bella, embellishing on the importance of the song he wrote for her, and drawing out a little more of the action packed ending, would have helped things along. I thought the actors chosen to play the main characters were great, especially Edward, Bella and Alice. James was a perfect choice for the "bad guy"! I loved the way they ended the movie, which is a perfect lead in to the next book/movie. I had a great time with my daughter and daughter in-law, and would recommend going in to this movie with the intent of having fun.

I have read this entire series and if you loved the books, you will love the movie. It stays pretty true to the first book. The chemistry between Edward and Bella is unbelievable. I would gladly go and see this movie again. I hope that it makes the required 150 million so that the sequel can be made. I would love to see more of the story between Bella and Alice - the girl who plays Alice is perfect, exactly what I imagined her to be as I was reading it. Stephenie Meyer has a cameo in the movie as well....I, for one, plan to see it again and to buy the DVD. Way to go Kristen and Robert!!

I liked this movie but had to leave, right when James and Friends came into the Picture. The only thing I hope is different in furture Twilight movies; is more dialogue. It seemed a little rushed. Plan to see it again of course, just not sure when!

As a fan of the books, I didn't walk into the movie expecting much. This movie could have been 3 hrs and I would have been happier, but I know not all can sit through such epics and at 2hrs the studio was already pushing it. I let myself enjoy the movie and accept it for what it was, but I walked out of the theater feeling unsatisfied. It wasn't a waste of 2 hrs, but it just didn't go all the way. The story line and editing seemed sloppy and the whole picture seemed low budget. They should have had the director and screen writer from "Harry Potter". That series and "Lord of the Rings" have done the best with transitioning from page to screen. I hope they make the sequel and learn from previous mistakes.

This movie did the book great justice! The actors were perfect, and the portrayal of how deep Edward and Bella's love was extradordinary. If you are a Twilight fan, you have to see this. And by the way, Robert Pattinson is a perfect Edward, great job!

I truly enjoyed this movie. I usually am dissapointed with movies that are made from books written. But, in this case I was pleasantly surprised. What I loved about the book was the love story behind all the other awesome things and I believe this movie caputured that love story and did a very good job.

I read the books and then went and seen the movie. And, well, I had to go and see the movie twice because it was sooo amazingly good. They had to try to put a lot in the movie from the book in a 2 hour period and I think they did a stellar job with it. There are so many emotions that you go through within the movie. One minute the audience was laughing and giggling and the next they were gasping with surprise and bewilderment. I still think that you should definitly read the books to more enjoy the inuendos within the film, they are hilarious. The actors and actresses did a great job portraying the lovable and infamous characters. I definitly want to see it again...for a third time. haha. Go see it, you won't be disappointed.

I've read the whole series and was kind of excited to see the movie. I brought my husband along, whom hasn't read any of the books. He was completely lost throughout the entire movie. He didn't see the point of it at all. The movie sped up so quick that they left out so many important details that it didn't help the movie any. I was very disappointed in the movie. I don't think anyone would have cared if the movie was 3 hours instead of the 2; as long at it was detailed enough to come close to the book. The book is far more better than the movie.

When reading the book you could literally feel the emotions between Bella and Edward. This movie brought none of that spark. The direction was horrible. The storyline was choppy. There was no character development. Many scenes left you to assume allot. If you hadn't read the book, you could get lost in the story. Special Effects a joke. There was no need to change the sequence in the book . Kristen Stewart's Bella was stiff. Rob Pattison's Edward was awkward. The town of Forks was too "hip". It totally lost the smalltown feel. If the subsequent books are going to be made like this one...I'll pass on all of them.

After reading the books, I went to see this movie. While the movie followed the books closely, the main character Edward was given a tongue in cheek mannerism that had the audience laughing at all the right moments. Unfortunately, we laughed at some of the wrong moments too as the flying scenes were so fake they were funny. Overall, good movie but the special effects left me giggling in my seat.

It was a good movie but it didn't follow the book at all. They added so many scenes that didn't happen and cut out the ones that did. It was really hard to watch the movie when you've read the book. I was pretty much sitting there saying "that didnt happen like that" or "that never happened". It was a little disappointing but still good.

i was pleasantly surprised that this movie followed so closely with the book. The film was beautiful! The chemistry between Edward and Bella from the book was sincerely captured in the film. Usually films do not do their written counterparts justice, however, this one was did.
Myself, my husbad and my 7 year old daughter attended this movie and we all enjoyed ourelves.
The dialogue was varied, there was fabulous comedic relief to the intensity and you cannot deny these actors ARE Edward and Bella. Great job!
