They didn't follow the book (mistake), Bella didn't appear to be acting, and the Cullens were supposed to be incredibly beautiful and they were not.
I hope some one remakes this and maybe they can do better on the next one??? I don't plan to see the next one if they use the same type of camera shots....it was just such a disappointment.

i have read all the books and i would have to say that this movie did nothing for me, the acting was no good.certain scenes you could tell that robert and kristen had actually just met in real life, they seemed shy around eachother. But, as far as kristen stewart goes...not a good actress AT ALL. but robert may have some potential, just cause he's gorgeous :)

I have seen this movie 3 times now and would see it three more. I think the small budget really limited what they could do with the material, but it does not take away from the movie. I would have loved to have seen more of the relationship between Edward and Bella develop, like in the book, as well as more Cullen family stuff. And I think the director really messed up on the meadow scene. I also think Jacob, Rosealie, Eric, and Angela were really ill cast, but the rest of the characters are spot on! Overall, a wonderful adaptation to the most wonderful book I have ever read.

I saw the movie in Nov 08 . I have just finished the Twilight Saga. I wanted to see the movie a second time to see the changes from book to movie.
I did not like some of the little changes that were done for the movies flow which left out important details of the book. The leather jacket for one thing!
I enjoyed the movie and it helped keep the first movie timeline straight in my mine.
Love it and I look forward to New Moon

Over all an ok movie......could have been better. Not a real fan of Kristen Stewart. I think they could have found someone better to play her part. Loved Robert Pattinson. HOpe the second movie is better.

the first time i saw it i loved it, the second time, it was okay. this movie can get real old real fast but the plot is great and so are the books. hopefully with the new director the next movie will be better. and man i really wish they would take off taylor lautner's wig!

i feel like the directors of the movie left out a lot a information that was in the book. for those out there who haven't read the book the movie ie a real big let down. over half the book was left out. i feel like they should either get a different director or redo the entire movie again. make it into two movies if needed.

This movie was awesome!! I thought the acting and everything was great. I never watch a movie over one time, but I have already seen this one four times! It follows the book very well and I don't think they could have picked a better cast. Robert Pattinson was the greatest, Kristen Stewart and Robert have great chemistry on the big screen!

I loved this movie and am so glad they stayed very true to the book. Robert pattinson is not only beautiful He was amazing at playing Edward!! His expressions and smirks and that crooked smile was perfect! I personally liked everyone in the film. I have seen this one about 4 times and still have to bring my husband to see it.

twilight is a really good movie, but id have to say that if you are not a teenager, preferably a girl, then you wont like this movie so much. if you are one, then i know almost for a fact you will like it. it also helps if you read the book first. but the book has things in it that the movie doesnt have and the movie has things in it that the book doesnt have so its pretty even. 50% of people say that the book is better but personally i like them both the same. maybe i like the movie a little better tho. i go to the movies every weekend to see it. im obsessed!
but if you decide now to go see it i hope
that you enjoy the movie! :)

I literally just finished reading the book two nights ago, and caught
what I think is probably the last showing of the movie in theatres,
last night...so the book was very fresh in my mind. While I did enjoy
the movie, I think the book was better, which is often the case.
Overall though, it was a great movie...can't wait for New Moon!

this movie was great. and as a person who has read the twilight series over and over again i think the did a perfect job capturing twilight i hope that new moon will be as good as twilight. If you're a fan of the book, you must see this movie twice. The first time you see the movie, all you can focus on is the differences from what you imagined and what they did. You can't help noticing the lines they added in or the parts they changed. Plus how you imagined each character is going to differ from the person sitting next to you. That is why you should see it twice. The second time around you can focus on the parts you liked and the parts they DID keep the same. Plus you can enjoy it for just being the fabulous movie it is. I've seen it more than twice now, and I've convinced a range of book-fans to see it a second time and everyone agrees unanimously that you should see it a second time because it is so much more enjoyable.

The movie was good but not as good as the book. If you didn't read the book first then the movie could be confusing. If they made the movie 30 minutes longer they could have done a much better job. Some of the characters (Rosalie & Jasper) were not what you picture when reading the book. Bad choices for the film. Otherwise, not a bad movie.

I read the book 2 before seeing this movie. I new all the parts by heart, but when I saw the movie I felt dissappointed. I loved the actors all of them gave a great performance, but whoever wrote the script sucked up what the book expressed. I felt everything was so rush, just like when I read the book the first time I rushed it through because I loved it and could not put it down. My favorite characters in the movie were Jasper and Alice unlike in the book Bella and Edward were my favorite. Even though the movie did not follow the book I am still going to buy the DVD because even though it was not a 10 it was a cute movie that my boyfriend was willing to go take me see it and he doesn't like cute sweetmovies and he actually like this one.

okay i was OBSESSING over this book and was wicked nervous to watch the movie.. i was scared it was going to ruin everything for my imagination but was totally relieved after I saw it. Edward was beyond dead on with who I pictured him to be. Bella was excellent also. they only thing I didnt like was how fast it seemed to be. There wasnt any dialog so it was like one day it was her first day then the next scene he was like 'you are my life' but i dont care because it was so good and for anyone saying this movie wasnt like the book is sadly mistaken and need to go see it again or read the book again.

I wrote a horrible review for this movie, but having since then read about the difficulties in making this movie, I change my mind.
The director actually WANTED to make the movie exactly like it plays out in the book. However, time crunches,money crunches, and weather played key roles in why the book was portrayed they way it did on film.
I take back everything I said in my last review and give this beautiful story 5 stars. If you have not read the books....do so. It will explain a lot.

Wonderfully written for the screen. All of the main parts of the book were captured as if you were reading it. The cast was picked wonderfully. They were just as I had pictured them in my head as I was reading the books.

My sister dragged me to this one, but since then I've seen it 3 times. Guys, if your not into romance don't see this movie, but if you have an open mind/heart then don't miss it. I was suprised by the emotional subtlty of Bella's character and the earnestness of Edwards love for her. I've been a fan of Kirsten Stewart since "Panic Room" and wasn't suprised by her performance. Any other actress would have made the performace more about themselves and less about the love between two people who must battle there difference in order to stay together. If your a guy and have reservations about seeing this movie than buck up and grow some balls. Watch this movie and learn about true love.

ive seen many vampire movies but not many that i remember in which the movie has such a great plot and story line. this movie is by far the best vampire movie i have seen in a long time. not only is it a good movie but it also has that romantic feel to it because its a love story more than a horror story. i cannot wait to see the other movies to follow in the twilight series. two thumbs up.
