Overall I thought this was a good movie. I kept my attention and had a good story line. I did however find parts to be confusing. I also thought the fight scene was a bit graphic, but there was only one.

I love the "Twilight" series. I have read all of the books, and I consider myself a huge fan. It's all familiar to me; I bought my ticket for a midnight showing weeks ago because I was so excited. Thus, I had huge expectations.

Twilight did not disappoint. Sure things were cut from the book, but the characters were the same. The story was the same. The love between Edward and Bella was as forbidden and shockingly romantic as Meyer's novel made it out to be. I've already seen the movie twice because I loved the story.

It was also visually appealing, and absolutely amazing.

I only wish I could step out of my shoes and experience it as a newbie. Only then could I judge it as a movie.

This movie was absolutely great
it went a little fast and I wish they would've added a couple of more scenes but they got the major parts and the chemistry right. Its not as good as the book but when are they? Don't critique the film and try to compare it to the book just watch it and you'll enjoy it remember they had to condense a 500 page book in 2 hours. I totally would reccomend it and now they're working a new moon yay!!!

I saw this movie at midnight the first night with my daughter and then again the next night! We are hooked irreparably to Edward and Bella's love story. My only complaint was that the movie was too short! It was very important to me to see the development of love between Bella and Edward. And yes, I do plan to see it again!

The first time I watched this movie I began by comparing it to the book. Wrong answer, when I quit doing that it became a little better, but I left feeling a little disappointed. However, I went to see it again with my kids and the second time I went in to just watch a movie that I thought was just ok, and I walked out really enjoying the movie, I think the movie stayed pretty good with the book as best it could.

I obviously loved the book a little more because it is unbeatable, however I absolutely loved loved loved the movie. Some of the acting was a little intense at times and the "spider monkey" line was pretty funny, but it was still a breathtaking and capturing movie.

I am a huge fan of the books but found the movie to be a disappointment. I thought many of the most romantic parts of the book were glossed over. I would have loved to see a deeper development that stayed truer to the book- it may have made the movie longer but we all watched The Lord of the Rings and other movies that extended the traditional movie-going time.
I will see a sequel but hope it reflects the magic of the book more closely

Just the worst movie ever

The woman who directed this movie didn't do one thing I agreed with. The camera work was just the worst, made the sweet look stupid. The near constant close-up shots made the film look like a documentary, not a love story. The adaptation focused more on horror than the love story. The blue lens (to create meledrama that she didn't coax from the actors) made the scenery look bad. The music (which is awesome) was used at inappropriate times, or not at all. The lines were overacted (humm, direction?) All in all, the movie was nothing short of awful and if I didn't love the books so much I would have walked out. For the love of all that is holy, PLEASE find someone else to direct NM. Please!

See it Twice...

I saw this movie twice over the weekend and I definitely recommend that method for avid Twilight book fans. The first go round I was so critical; looking for all the differences between the movie and the book that I walked away not sure if I liked it at all. So I decided to go see it again later in the day. The second go round I was completely able to leave book/movie comparisons behind and just simply enjoy the movie which is based on a book that I love. I think overall it was a good movie and I believe that the future movies will be even better

Not the Book but good

Friday left me feeling disappointed and I hoped that by giving it a second chance it would be better. I'm glad I went back. I do believe the camera angels and editing could still have been done better (they moved around so much that as close as I was sitting friday I got motion sickness and had to leave the movie twice.) But after sitting all the way at the back of the theater I didn't get sick this time and wasn't completly disappointed anymore. I wish they had shown the relationship between Bella and Edward with the same depth as was in the book but all in all not a bad job. I'm hopeful that they stay closer to the book for the others and pay more attention to the camera angels and editing.

It's not a surprise when people say the movie wasn't as good as the book. There is no way a director can make all the imaginations of millions of fans come to life on the big screen. NOT POSSIBLE!! Secondly, they cannot put every detail in a 600 page book into a 2 hour movie. With that said, you need to separate the book from the movie and enjoy it. It was awesome I loved it!! BRING ON NEW MOON!!!!

I love the Twilight series. I was worried about the movie, but that worry was for naught. It was great. Actors were fantastic! The music was very well picked. Book lovers need to go in with an open mind. Movie can't be just like the book. Non book readers probably need to talk to someone who's read the book to get a basic idea. Some things aren't explained very well. But the movie was great for being 2 hours long. For those of you who have read the books, you can't truly appreciate the wonder of the baseball scene until you've seen the movie. A lot of other things you can't truly appreciate until you've seen the movie. It was an awesome experience both times that I've seen it. Even better 2nd time. I definitely give it a stamp of approval.

This movie was really well done in my book. They got the characters pretty well, My only concern about the characters is that I feel that they could have gotten a much prettier girl to play Rosalie. The scene where Edward was showing his powers to Bella could have been done better. He shouldn't have been so aggressive. Other than that it was a great interpretation of the book. I also liked what they added in. The cast did really well in interpreting the characters and the plot was pretty close to the book. Overall really good job!

Ok...first off, the movie is nowhere near as good as the book; however the book is brilliant and 500 pages long...so, if you are expecting something as great as the book, then you will probably be disappointed. But, if you go knowing what I have already stated...you will enjoy yourself completely and thoroughly enjoy the movie! It gives you names to faces and a more "real" feeling if you are not a very imaginative reader. I will see it again for sure!!

Take it for what it is. A teen flick that managed to hold on to the overall feel of the book. It pulls you back into highschool; back into that first really real young love. I give it kudos for that alone.

My husband and I have both read the Twilight books and were pleasantly surprised by the movie. It stayed very true to the book, and the changes that were made to make it fit the time limit didn't change the whole point. It just got to it a little faster. I didn't really see Kristen Stewart as a good Bella in the trailers, but I ended up thinking she fit the character pretty well. Robert Pattinson was very good as Edward, and the rest of the cast fit very nicely as well. I also thought the director hit the nail on the head on what the high school dynamic is like. I'm excited about the other movies.

Good, but no Harry Potter

I always try to keep an open mind when going to a movie adapted from a book. I have even read this series (several times over). I enjoyed this movie and will purchase the DVD when it comes out.

However, I must say that some of the dialogue is cheesy, some special effects hokey, but the sudden irrational love that starts between Bella and Edward is shown. Definitely something portrayed in a book easier because it was a little sudden in the movie. The acting was OK. Rob Pattinson tried too hard to be all angsty and torn, Kristen Stewart was a twitchy teen, but everyone else was totally endearing.

This is worth the 2 hours and 5-10 dollars to see it. Be a part of the phenomenon!

The books were wonderful at fully communicating the connection between the two characters however Hardwicke, the director, missed the mark in the film. The acting was good, however her choice of what to cut, keep, and the effort to display the true depth of the emotion between Bella and Edward never did justice to the authors works. I expected sounds of true involvement from the audience (a sigh possibly) while watching the film and instead heard multiple chuckling -yet not a comedy.

even though i have not read the book i decided to go becasue it cpatired my attention. ONCE i began to see it the light, scenary, and characters all came together. i might suggest you take your other half because it will make you a bit excited (wink wink). other than hearing a few tweens in the background for the kiss it was great to see the characters and how they really connected. the action was good more and the actors were AMAZING worth your money.

for having read all the books and enjoyed the escape into a fantasy world this movie hit really close to the books understandably different for time reasons and excitement value. I hope they do, do a sequel it would be nice to get all the way through to book four. the lines can be a little cheesy but all the teenage girls were obviously satisfied by the way they oohed and ahhed. I would go see it again having throughly enjoyed the books.
