I'm embarrassed to admit that I've seen this movie 5 times and I would go to see it again.
The cast did an outstanding job of bringing the characters to life...especially Robert Pattinson who played Edward. I don't think any other actor could have been a better fit.
I can't wait for New Moon!

I was one of those people who thought everyone was stupid for reading the books...until I read them myself. They're great! I was a little worried seeing the movie because I didn't think it was be even close to as good as the book. However, they did much better than I expected. They did leave out a few details that were in the book, which made me a little upset, but overall, they did a really good job! I can't wait for New Moon! Two thumbs up! Great Job!

I saw the movie a few times and each time I saw it I picked something else up I missed the first time. Naturally the book is better because it has more detail in it. Overall I thought it was nicely done. The cast is great and made the movie feel as you were apart of the exeperince.

My friends who read the book always said how much they were in love with it and I told them that they were being melodramatic!
When they drug me to go see the movie I was sure I wouldn't like it.
once the movie was over I was obsessed and I had to know more about Bella and Edward!
The books are even more amazing but the movie is what made me read the books even though I'm sad that they left out a few things I enjoyed watching this amazing film.
I cannot wait until New Moon comes out it was my favorite book out of the whole series!
I'm super excited for all the werewolves and Bella's imagination of Edwards voice!

I;d like to say that I have seen this movie 5 times already and will go again before it leaves the theater. I am over 50 and YES I love the movie. All of the acting is very good and the movie is very entertaining, just the right bit of humor in the right spots. Edward is so charming, how could anyone resist?? Bella is a beauty, also. The Cullen family is very interesting. I have no bad remarks, it is all GOOD!

Ok, I'll grant you that there are elements of the movie that I didn't really care for such as the added scenes with Victoria, James and Laurent that didn't appear anywhere in the book and really didn't add much to the movie aside from 'tap fingers and look at watch' time. But that doesn't detract from how extremely well both Pattinson and Stewart did bringing these characters to life on the screen. Stewart makes a fantastic Bella and Pattinson makes the movie, not only with his utterly delicious good looks but with his brooding determination to keep Bella safe even as he can't stay away from her. I loved it and will own it the second it hits DVD!

First of all, let me say that I LOVED the books and read ALL of them in less than three weeks. However, I was disappointed in the movie. It felt rushed, but the soundtrack dragged, and lines which were beautiful & meaningful in the book came across as cliche in the movie. When the myriad of characters are woven into the books and come in later, it seems like pure genius; but when a mish-mash of characters are thrown at you in the movie, it is confusing. I WOULD recommend this movie to Twilighters as part of the overall experience, but I think on its own for a general audience the movie bombed. Real fans would sit through a three hour movie (think Lord of the Rings!) and I'm hoping the sequels are longer and do BOTH genres justice.

i saw the movie before i got the books, but i thought it was great (and it definitely helps that robert pattinson is freakin fine like no other) i saw it twice in theaters and i just bought the whole book series. can't wait for the second one to come out. :)

If you have read any of the Twilight books, i would not recommend this movie. Its terrible...slow in some really stupid parts and then it just flies through anything important to the actual plot. It's all about Bella and Edwards love not about it an actual plot...this movie is just painful to watch and i was checking the clock the entire time.

I went to see this movie with my husband. At first I didn't think that I was going to actually like this movie at all. But my husband wanted to see it. But turns out that it was an amazing movie. It has a little something for everyone...action, adventure, romance. It has become on of my new favorite movies to see. I can not wait until they make a second one. "I have to say I was very excited for this movie. I haven't even read the books when my friends had told me the movie was coming out though, I had been told it was a great book. I wasn't very interested in this book at first but, I read it anyway. Turns out I love the saga and, I finished the series right before the movie came out.
I was into the movie and, it was very good. Although, I have to say it had some cheesy parts in the movie and, they had left out a bunch pf important parts. Robert Pattinson, did an okay job, I'm thinking he could have done better. Christian Stuart, I was a little embaressed by her, she did a poor job. So, the movie was good, I liked it alot but, it wasn't great as some of you put it."

I found that The only thing I like about the movie was that Jackson Rathbone was in it And most of the Cullens were well Casted. Rob Pattinson is NOT Edward Cullen. And Kristen Stewart didn't sit right with me through the movie. As A hard core fan of the Twiligt books I was highly disappointed.

If you know you are making a movie where thousands of people have read the book...wouldn't you not cut all the stuff out that was removed. It's a shame for those who didn't read or don't care to read that they didn't get the full effect out of this movie. But then again every book to movie film can not be as good as others.

After seeing this movie, I had to re-read Twilight just to remember why I loved it so much.
I really felt that they were making fun of the book with this movie. There were many scenes that were down right comical, when they should have be intense and compelling.
Kristen Stewart looks like Bella, but she is not a good actress and bascially ruined the movie. I like Robert Pattinson, but the combination of his over-acting, and Kristen's under-acting resulted in a non-believable, non-passionate disaster.
I was impressed by Charlie.
I really hope New Moon goes better and Kristen Stewart learns how to act.

my daughter was obsess with all the Twilight saga, I think she read the 4 books in about 1 1/2 months. She take me to the movies with her to see " Twilight " , and I really enjoy the content of the movie...I reallyyyyyy like it!!!
Now I'm just finish reading Twilight , and I begins reading " New Moon " (the second book of the saga) and I discover something that my Daughter told me about the movie...so many important things left out of the movie, and they change some things also. But in general , the movie was really well done!!! We love it!!!

I kept reading negative reviews for this. I dragged my husband along to see it, and we were both more than happy with it, especially my husband. I would see this again, for sure. She IS a bit on the worshiful side of the main vamp, that was weird. Excited about the next movie, and I'm going to read the books now.

Even though a lot of information from the book was left out i was not disappointed with the movie. I walked into the theater knowing that the directors would have to take certain creative licenses to pull this off. So I sat back with an open mind. Immediately the character of Bella struck me as perfect - similiar to how I pictured her and when Edward walked into the lunchroom you could see and feel the electricity ram into the two characters like a freight train. The intensity between them was the same as in the book, even though some of the plot was different. That was what was most important to me - the way it made me FEEL. But what woman wouldn't get caught up in a love story about the ultimate bad boy?

I took my wife to see this, because it was all she talked about. The movie was OK or should I say bearable for a man. Definitely geared towards the woman's romantic psychy. My wife loved it and probably would have given it 4 stars, but I am rating it not her. With that being said I will be fair and give it three stars for being entertaining enough to keep me awake and still not be a "dog in the manger."

To start with this book series could make a run for Lord of the Rings...if put in the right hands. Let me start with did the director even read the books?
I loved Kristen as Bella...sorry Robert, you don't cut it as Edward. I don't think Robert read the books either...he was way to creepy and freaky...to be the same Edward in the books. Way to much information was left out and the most amazing scene was ruined...the meadow scene is so important in the book and the most amazing and yet the movie wasn't even close!! Also did anyone notice they put this movie under Horror...thought it was a love story.
