Oh my goodness! I loved the books and the movie stayed true to the book! The characters played the parts so well and the setting was beautiful! The music also made the movie. Overall it was amazing, and you dont even have to read the books to understand the movie. I would see it again...and again...and again!

There were a few times I found myself thinking "I love this movie"....there were also a few when i laughed out loud at how cheesy it was!
Overall the movie was great and Edward is HOT. Not a big fan of Kristen Stewart as Bella- she seemed like she had no personality and only one pouty facial expression.

I know books are always better than movies, but I think if they would have left out the things they blatantly made up and added they could have spent a little more time on the things that are important not only to Twilight, but to the rest of the series that were omitted. I know that sex sells, but the tension caused by their longing for and lack of intimacy is crucial to the continuing story. And even though the part where he has to push himself away is accurate, it is after one kiss in the book, not after an intense make out session. Also where is the blood testing scene? That is a very pivotal point in the book, and should have been in the movie. I loved the cast. They were amazing. I just wish the script had stayed truer to the book.

I Loved the movie! Saw it twice and will definitely see it again. I think they did an excellent job of presenting the story as closely as possible to the book. My daughter and I have both read the books (a lot) and thought they did a great job of showing the intensity of their feelings and advancing the story while under the time constraints of making a movie. My son (who hasn't read the book) came with us and totally understood the story. Which I wondered about for all the people who need to see the movie in order for them to make New Moon. Can't wait to own the DVD. Is it too soon to put it on my Christmas list?

I loved the movie, its not exact to the book so if you care about that don't see it. Also, if you haven't read the book you won't get it as well as those who have.

I'm a huge fan of the written saga so going into the theater I knew I couldn't compare the two but I was pleasantly surprised that the over-all tone of the forbidden love story was there. Also it had some great additions to the things that happened in the book. The love story itself was choppy but the actors chemistry made up for that. It was a good movie. My only problem was it had a limited budget and it showed. I've seen it twice this weekend and plan on going back next weekend so it was so bad I'm staying away.

The movie captured most of the book very well. I thought Rob Pattinson (although he is not Edward in my mind) did an amazing job capturing his angst in the situation, he really nailed the part. Kirsten Stewart was the perfect Bella. The only problem was that the movie is never as good as the book and missed on some of the key points, I thought, doesn't matter I loved it and will be waiting to see New Moon on the big screen:)

This movie was exceptional. Although I was excited to see it, I was a little wary. Some books-turned-to-movies end up being disappointing, but Twilight exceeded my expectations! I can't wait for the rest of the movies!

Disappointing - only good acting was Edward! The books are so lustful, yet the screenplay didn't give enough time to the relationship's development, and too many scenes were disjointed and horribly out of sequence. Too many liberties taken with the book.

I thought it was okay...I was quite disappointed, though. I felt like they took out entirely too much stuff and added unnecessary scenes. Like, the trees...where did that come from?? They should have had the clearing like it was in the book. Everything felt entirely too rushed and the scenes felt choppy and quick to me. And I thought the music was completely wrong except for the action scenes and the Lullaby. The music made the mood wrong, in my opinion. I think they chose the perfect actors to play the parts, though. It's definitely worth seeing.

LOVED IT!!! I read all the books in the series. It has been one of the best fiction series that I've read in a really long time! Stephenie Meyer has a GOLD mine!!! She is a phenomenal writer! You fall in love with all the characters... and to see the story on the big screen was fantastic! The actors who played the roles were great! And true die-hard fans of Twilight...will notice Stephenie's cameo role in the film, too! That was a nice touch! WELL done all! Can't wait for the next movie, New Moon!!!! Thanks for such great entertainment. WE LOVE IT!!!!

I really enjoyed the movie. It followed the book for the most part ; there were a few missing pieces. I wish they would have showed more kissing scenes with Edward and Bella~~~! My husband came with me and he was not to thrilled with the movie though....but who cares what he thinks!!

Whomever did the casting for this movie should be fired. This is the worst group of actors I have ever seen in a move. Kristen Stewart is one of the worst actresses I've seen in recent memory. It is a generic love story, predictable and un-original. I was lost most of the movie, after wards I had to ask people who had red the book to explain most of the plot to me. I'm actually considering reading the book so I could understand what was going on. But there were 2 things I liked about this movie. The song by Muse and the one by Radiohead.

I enjoyed watching the movie I don't think I would have liked it as much if I hadn't read the book though. I think you need the insight that you receive from the book to understand the characters and the way they act. My daughter was sad that it was different from the book, but she also enjoyed it.

I read all the books and I liked it a lot. I thought they chose the right parts to shorten and Edward and Bella were very believable. After all, it is a love story. My boyfriend didn't read any of the books but to my surprise liked the movie. I thought I would be disappointed but I was pleasantly surprised. The movie stayed true to the book.

Made for the teen crowd, this modern day vampire love story will entertain you till the end. Quirky, yet cute, the special effects and one liners carry you thru the movie. A little short on story line, still a good movie. Definitely one to go see!

This movie is perfect. There is no way anyone could make a movie to make you feel as the book did. Stephenie just has a way of writing and these characters are perfect. The movie was as close as it gets. I can't wait to see it again! Bella & Edward have the greatest love story of all time.

I thought the movie was great...thought they left out some of the best parts from the book (in my opinion) but they still did a great job of developing Bella and Edwards relationship well. My Husband even enjoyed the movie and he has not read any of the books. They did a great job in casting this film. After viewing this movie I will be taking my daughter (pre-teen) to see it.

I have not had the opportunity to read the book, but both of my daughters have read all of the books, several times. They both had some issues with the movie not completely following the book. But, as just a movie, it was enthralling. I fell in love with Edward and smiled through almost all of the movie. I will definitely read the books as I have time and look forward to the rest of the movies.

After reading Twlight 5 times I was so excited about the movie. After seeing it I was so depressed. It was BAD!! Bella could not act! I did not like Edward at all. They tried to add to many quotes in at all the wrong times....It was very bad!! They did not show the great love stor that it was.

No movie is ever as good as the book but considering they had 2 hours, they did a VERY good job. Casting was absolutely perfect. Great chemestry between Edward and Bella. He is painfully good looking!!
