Incredible! What a great a movie! What a great way to present the plot. I can't wait to read my daughters books. Our family went to see this movie with our teenager, her girlfriend and our 10 year old. Never did I think I wouldn't have been able to leave my seat. I couldn't, I wouldn't! The lead characters Bella and Edward's performances where compelling and convincing. The movie was able to hold even my husband's attention.

I have to admit the first time I saw the movie I was disappointed but I still recommended it to others to go see. I ended up seeing the movie a second time and loved it. I still thought that it was a low budget movie and there could have been better special effects like in Harry Potter.... I hope the next movie is more professional and has a better script that flows more and actually develops the story line like the books do.

The movie was very good, it stuck to the book very well. The only thing I would recommend is to read the book because there are just a few things that are better explained there :) Enjoy cause it's awesome!!

So if you are a Twilight fan then you MUST watch, but I have to warn you, like all/most books gone big screen, its disappointing. You can definitely tell this was a small..extremely small budget movie. The special effects were not the best and if I could recommend something...please please before the next movie..budget in some acting classes for the actors. This was the worst part of the entire movie..the acting was HORRIBLE. Either way, I will still be in line for the next movie.

I like the book better, only because you get the whole story. You would understand the movie better as well. Don't get me wrong the movie was great... mostly Edward, but The girl who played Bella bugged me. It's wonderful to see the characters come to life and to see how things happened. It was different in my mind. The movie did not have my favorite little moments or conversations....which got me angry during the movie, yet I will most likely by it when it comes out on DVD. And yes I want to see the next one. Most of my younger friends loved it and are planning on seeing it again...70 million. WOW!!

The book was awesome; but the movie was simply average. I went in understanding that the movie would not stay true to the book, and that it would not be an precise replica of my personal interpretation of the book. However, my chief complaint was that the movie failed to fully develop the characters! This is crucial to the story; its okay to change dialogue and action, but when the characters seem forced then everything else falls apart. In the end, it was an average movie overall, with a current tally of 8 cheesy lines, which barely exceeded standards for a B movie. I just hope they put more money into the second one, and take a bit more time on production!

As an avid Twilight Saga fan, I do have major critics of the portrayal of Edward Cullen. I think whoever casted him did a poor, poor job. But other than that fact, the movie stuck to the major points of Twilight pretty well. Sure they were details amiss; Rosalie's BMW was a Mercedes in the movie, etc. As a movie though, it was a pretty good movie. Needs more special effects, especially for the rest to come!!
I would definitely recommend this movie to fellow women.

I CAME INTO THE MOVIE WITH AN OPEN MIND KNOWING THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CHANGE SOME THINGS TO MAKE THE MOVIE FLOW, AND I LOVED IT! I ENJOYED IT MORE. THE DIALOG WAS THERE AND THEIR CHEMISTRY WAS INSANE! I AM GLAD THAT THEY PUT A STEAMY SCENE (LIGHTLY) BECAUSE THEY DID NOT NEED TO TALK; THE TENSION WAS THERE AND THAT IS HARD TO COME BY IF THE TWO DO NOT HAVE CHEMISTRY! I HAVE READ ALL 41/2 BOOKS AND I AM HUGE FAN. JUST SIT BACK AND RELAX. WATCH IT AND LOVE IT!

Wow, this movie was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! It stayed fairly true to the book; but in the parts that were skipped/ different, it was smooth and not annoying to watch. I want to see it again and again. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spectacular, it really was.

Its sad to say that i was very very disappointed in the movie and the way it was directed. For me the twilight novels became an obsession and an escape into fantasy and wonder. . . the books could possibly be the best ever so when i went to see the movie i sadly realized that my hopes were to high =( . . . I felt that it simply rushed through the book leaving out all the amazing attention grabing parts.

Movies are never as much detail as the books they come from, but they did a good job of hitting the most important points. I wish it had been longer! The scene with Bella, Jasper and Alice in the hotel needed to be more tense, like the book. And the movie needed a little more of Bella's inner dialog for the people that didn't read the book. I loved all four books and the first movie. Overall.........I think everyone wants to be a Vamp now!

If you've read the books, you'll obviously be dissapointed some good part's from the book were taken off...the lines I liked were not in there,Alott of little things were missing to me...Some taht were in the movie, seem too playful when they should've been more dramatic and tense...you'll seee what scenes I'm talking about. But overall for two hours the manage to stick in all the imporatnt parts,Its hould've been longer to make it better I personally think, but its worth watching nonetheless.

I'm not much of a vampire type person but this movie was so good, and to think I didn't even read the book. I'm going to start reading them and get myself ready for the next one. This movie I can watch over and over. I can't wait til the next movie comes out and for this movie to be on video I will be one of the first to buy it and would watch it a 100 times.

it lacked...especially the connection between bella and edward. their undying love for each other was clearly expressed in the book. meanwhile, in the movie, there was hardly a tear and not even an "i love you". we fell in love with the books because of their love story. it just seemed a little non-existent, not as passionate.

I definitely enjoyed the movie. I loved the cast, the scenery, and the soundtrack, and I think the script was a good adaptation of the novel. But I wish the movie had been more… polished, and the special effects had been more sophisticated. Overall I was happy with the movie and I’m really excited that the next one will be made. I hope they have more money to spend on New Moon and the editing and special effects are much better.

Anyone familiar with the books will love watching the actors bring Edward, Bella, etc come to life. Casting was well done, but this movie could not stand alone without the books' fan base. The stunts were done too cheaply and Edward was blurry, not dazzling. Edward and Bella's love was not explored enough. The conversations they had were spark notes from the book that didn't make sense or add tension to the relationship. More time should've been committed to getting to know the Cullens instead of following the dangerous vampires nearing Forks. The score was disappointing and often distracting. Thankfully Pattinson will keep enough people watching so future installments will have big budgets to fix the errors of this film.

Although the movie twlight was very different from the book it was an excellent movie. Catherine Hardwicke did an amazing job, and the soundtracks great too. Edward Cullen was portrayed perfectly by Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart was great for Bella. I look forward to a sequel.

It was a decent movie, I like how they added some different ethnicities in the movie with Bella's school friends. It didn't blow me away but it kept me entertained. I was wanting more action but I'm sure there will be more in the sequels. I'd watch it again.

For people who loved the book and have seen good movies, this movie will fall short. While it reminded me of how awkward it was to be a teenager in love, there just wasn't enough to keep the movie interesting. The dialogue was drab, the characters were poorly adapted on screen (at least Jasper was). I'm glad I saw the movie, I think they would have been better served to combine the four books into one interesting film.

The movie was great and was all we thought it would be. We did not read the book first, we wanted to see the movie first, then read the book to get the full effect. The movie does not disappoint.
