This movie was a wonderful intro to the Saga. I saw it at random when I saw it originally and then again right before New Moon. Whoever made the decision to do the Twilight/New Moon back to back made a great choice!

Saw the first movie and the second movie last night in the theatre... Fell in love again with the cinematography... The acting was still awkward but at heart it is a well written story.

Having missed it in the theater the first time I was pleased to be able to see it the second time around.
It was a good adaptation from the book! Additional budget money could certainly help out with the special affects portions of the moving but all in all I enjoyed it.

Do not see this movie if you expect anything like the book. The story line is totally wrong, important things are missed or glossed over, the CG and makeup are a joke, and the casting leaves much to be desired. Bella and Alice are the best parts of the movie.

This movie does not hold a candle to the book. Daisappointing. But it was low budget and you cant put the whole book into a movie. A decent set up for New Moon

I did not see Twilight when it first came out. I saw it at 9:00 pm followed by New Moon. I think New Moon was much better in the acting. I think Bella and Edward were good in Twilight but in New Moon Jacob ruled.

Unbelievably awesome. The first movie was great. This one was even better! The acting was more believable. Kristen was MUCH better - and she acted Bella's grief perfectly. The CG for Edward's skin was much better. The wolves looked much better than earlier previews (thank goodness.) The story was as close to the book as can be expected. Tha audience literally gasped at the ending. And - MAN! - Tyler made adherence to Team Edward REALLY difficult! Well worth 6 weeks of holding my breath!

I watched the movie on DVD before I read the book and watched it at the theater last night at New Moon's premiere. It was better at the theater! The casting was/is perfect! I think Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson IS Bella and Edward. I love Independent movies and it was refreshing to see this one. The cinematography was good. Love the Hoke house.
I was a little disappointed that there was not more dialogue especially when Edward/Bella were getting to know each other and the meadow scene. It would have been great to see the actors play out those scenes. Otherwise, the movie was enough to get me hooked on the Twilight saga!

OK, so the acting is not the best (especially Bella's friends at school - can you say overacting?) but the story is still great - and the casting was perfect. They don't have time to get into every little detail in the book - so if you haven't read it and the movie has to stand alone you may wonder why characters act the way they do - but if you have read the books and understand the characters, how can you not love it? My recommendation - read the books! Then see the movie and enjoy it for what it is...2 hours of staring at Edward Cullen and an introduction to New Moon...

I think they did a fairly good job with what they had, considering the movie had a low budget. The main problem for me, was there was no real 'flow' to the movie, bits and pieces just were thrown in from the book - but there was a lot missing that would have helped connect everything.

As a fan of the book series I thought this movie did a nice job translating the story to screen although there are some definite differences in the screenplay. With minimal budget and effects the movie relies on the acting which is good if inconsistent. The cast compliments each other well and the on-screen chemistry between "Edward and Bella" is undeniable. With a fitting soundtrack this story is a clean, exciting love story appropriate for teen fans as well as romantics at heart.

the movie really wasnt that good- look it up on wiki and check out the awards it won- it didnt win anything real- it won all of these kids awards- AND_THEY_DO_NOT_COUNT- it wasnt a horrible movie- there was just to many laughable holes in the story- 1.the vampires are teenagers- which is stupid- 2. the baseball scene is was just dumb- whats with the glitter effect when the sun hits'em- seriously?- they seemed like some goofy emo vamps - no style- you couldnt tell theyve live hundreds of years- they just brought no class to the characters- the movie was boring- it should of been some after school special shown on nick at night- the show Are you afraid of the dark was better- check out, interview with the vampire, the lost boys

I have seen this movie 11 times at the theatre and it is visually stunning. The landscape is beautiful and the story never gets old...especially not with such a talented group of actors. I am anxious to get my hands on the blu-ray of this movie very soon and am eagerly awaiting the release of New Moon in theatres later this year. This introduction into the series is definitely a "must see" in my book.

im going to be honest this is not a good movie and its mostly for girls. at some parts its stupid. there's edward over here who keeps telling bella you cant be around me and leaves and keeps coming back to say you really shouldnt be around me. so its not a good movie its okay but the fans will get what they want from it. there are some good actions scenes in here and some funny parts but some parts are cheesy like in the woods about 30 minutes into the movie and if you see it most people will know what im talking about. overall i would recommend this to most people.

I like the spin that Twilight has on vampires. I gave it four stars cuz there are a few flaws (some scenes are a bit hokey/silly). Edward's brooding James Dean stares at Bella can be a bit over the top sometimes. However, as soon as I found myself thinking that he would steal my heart in the next scene. I haven't read the books yet, but I certainly want to now. Overall it's a good first film in what I'm sure will be a series of films. I anticipate that the next film will be a much stronger film now that the groundwork has been set.
