The movie was really good. The chemistry between Edward and Bella was intense. Yes, the movie did stray far from the book; a lot of the original scenes in the book were either changed or deleted in the movie. But, as they said, the movie and the book should be kept separate.
The effects weren't as good as I expected them to be. They could seriously have done better with it. Overall, the movie was great. I enjoyed it very much. (: They could have done a better job, but it was good enough.

I watched this one Saturday, November 22nd. I was pleasantly surprised that Charlie (Billy Burke) provided the comic relief in the movie. Even though I feel as though I have watched at least 75% of the movie itself via movie clips, trailers, TV spots, etc., I still enjoyed watching Twilight nevertheless. I will watch it later today, and hopefully at a later date.

My daughter and 5 of her friends couldnt wait to see this movie. They each read all four books four times. I was very surprised that they loved the movie and wouldn't have changed anything. They said the usual things like "the book had more information and was slightly different in times of events" but compared to all the other books read besides Harry Potter this one was an awesome interpretation and they will see it again in theaters . Not to mention will buy the movie as soon as it is available.

This movie wasted my time. I would rather see Blade whipping these actors than sit through this Harry Potter movie. All they do is stare at each other and breathe heavily into each other's blank faces. The graphics are weak...it looks like "Speedy Gonzalez" legs when they are flying, and "Karate Kid" in the air. I thought Mr. Miogi was going to come out and show Bella how to kickbox. There's no action in this movie...I mean, it's over-rated. The romance is a bunch of starring and going, "What?" A waste of two hours.

There were some parts of the movie that were just too awkward and embarrassing to watch. I remember the audience laughing a lot when that wasn't the goal of the movie. Some of the scenes also looked like they were mocking the book. I was somewhat disappointed by the movie but i thought it was entertaining. my friend who has never opened a twilight book, however, absolutely loved it.
conclusion: watch it. I think it's worth a watch even for the fans of the books just to see how it was translated onto the screen. and for those who haven't read the books, you'll probably like it more than you would think.

I was very anxious for this movie. Saw all the trailers that came out. I think they did a wonderful job finding the right people to play the characters. I loved this movie. I actually saw it 3 times this weekend, with different family and friends each time. Two hours is not enough time to put everything in, the main parts of the book were there and I thoroughly enjoyed it more each time I saw it. I would recommend it to other readers or those who haven't. My family had not read any of the books, they just heard me talking about them and of course the trailers on tv and internet. They all loved it, even my 9 yr old son.

I read all 4 book when they came out each one in a day! i totally loved this movie!!!!! i hope many people like it too.....but compared to the book its only a total summary but still awesome! The way each actor portrayed each character was exactly how i imagined it and believe me i have read many many books!!! I am so glad they chose these actors and thank you Catherine Hardwick I hope you get to direct the next book!!!

I honestly thought that it was a great movie. I was really excited to watch it and it was exactlly how I thought it was going to be. Although I would have liked it to be longer. But other than that it was awsome. I would go see it agaiin and again...I loved it...and I cant wait for the next movie "NEW MOON"

After reading the first book I was very impressed with the movie Twilight. Knowing that you can't fit 500 some pages into a two hour movie, I was pleased with what was used and how it all took place. I have now seen the movie twice and recommend it to anyone that has read Twilight. If you haven't, please read it and then see the movie... it will never leave your mind.

nothing like the book...very dissapointed! who's idea was it to cut out all the important stuff from the book. If I hadn't read the book I would have no idea what was going on in the movie. There wasn't enough in the movie to allow us to connect to the characters and understand the relationships.

Aside from the legions of screaming pre-teens(O M G it's Cedric), I really enjoyed this movie! It was most definately breath takingly gorgeous. The actors were surprisingly well chosen(Nikki Reed as Rosalie was fricken awesome!!!). Robert Pattinson was soooo good as Edward-O.M.E.-he embodied everything all of us loyal Twilight fans know and love about Edward Cullen! Kristen Stewart was very good as Bella(Pattinson's performance was so good, it kind of outshined everyone, except Nikki Reed!). I will be seeing it again for sure!

I thought it was great, my 15 yr old daughter thought it was amazing!!! She even told me afterwards "Mom, I wish there really were Vampires, so I could find one and date him"lol!!! She is very critical of all the movies she sees, so if she loved it, it's good:) I have read all 4 books of the series, sort of started them not knowing it was geared towards teens, but I got hooked! The movie was a very good adaptation of the book:) Can't usually say that. I hope they don't keep us waiting too long for the second film.

Clearly one of those movies-- a la Harry Potter--made quickly, to capitalize on its populatiry, and with a massive budget, thanks to popularity.
The characters were, for the most part, cast for looks. The whole thing was very pretty, but I must admit to enjoying the silent preview I saw at Hot Topic more than the movie itself.
Pleasantly surprised by Bella--when she had decent lines she held her own.
Edward was decent. clearlytoo focused on his image,forgot what was, for me, his defining feature in the book; his voice.
Charlie was fantasic.
Alice supreme disapointment.
I don't think I'd have liked it at all if I hadn't seen the book; editing was jerky, plotline accelerated, a lot is assumed.
I loved it.

The movie was kind of a let down for me. I did like the movie but didnt love it like i thought i would. There was so much detail and emotion in the book and I really would have liked to see more of those details in the movie. I dont think there was enough of an emotional connection between Bella and Edward. The actors were good but I felt like the movie was geared too much toward the teeny boppers and didnt exactly reflect the way the book portrays the relationships. It is hard to imagine where the next movie is going to go because I dont feel like this movie set up enough details or information for everything that takes place in New Moon.

I loved the book im absolutely obessed with it but the movie was ok the story was too rushed they did not go through the story flowingly. Alot of the scenes I was looking forward to werent even inthere some of it made no sence.
But i suppose the movie was pretty good ifyou don't think of ut as the book.

i think that the actors, writers, producers, and director did a lot to convey a story that is not as easy to translate to film. a lot of the "story" is told from bella's perspective, and her internal thoughts and reflections. it's not as easy to pull that off. i wish that there had been more interaction with the rest of the cullens, as i don't think that those relationships were as fleshed out as they could have been. i think that the actors and actresses picked for their roles did a fantastic job, and i can't wait for "new moon"

I have never been more disappointed with a movie I have waited so long to see. I think that the lack of chemistry in combination with many future key plots. The casting was great every character was perfect but the direction was completely off. This is a love story about to people that are willing to die for each other. You do not get that at all from the film. As far as the special effects they were lame. I would only recommend this movie to the book fans like myself. Its the only way to slightly understand the movie.

I really liked this movie a lot. Of course it was exactly like the book but it would have to have been a 16 hour movie. (Not that I would"ve minded that either) There were a couple of cheezy parts but overall I loved it. My 12 year old daughter keeps begging me to take her to see it again.

The actors looked as awarkward as if they were standing in front of there high school class naked through the whole movie. They twitched and stombulled through the sceens like 1st graders.If you read the books you mite have a clue but the director differently had no clue. TERRIBLE!!!

Best movie of my life......i loved it.........i have already watched it 3 times and gona watch it again...soon........well i love the books most.but to be honest.it's not possible to cover every details of the book in the movie.but they tried their best to cover everything and added extra scenes in order to make the movie more entertaining.....which is exceptable.i think.....Kristen Stewart And Robert Pattinson both did a great job..........Robert so handsome!!!

I agree with some of the comments here. The movie was good but lacked important parts, but i still enjoyed it very much. I don't think they should've added the tree jumping, cause that just didn't happen, but it works though. In any case, loved it, gonna see it again on Thanksgiving!!!!

I thihk this will be a movie that Twilight fans will either love or hate. There is quite a bit that was missing from the movie, but that doesn't stop it from being so interesting with the added scenes. There will also be some of the fans who will think it was no where near as good as the book, which it wasn't. But depending on what fans want to see, it will be embraced , or utterly hated.

Twilght is by far one of the best movies i have seen in a long time. Normally after reading a book the movie is horrible but they have completely changed that. Twilight has the perfect combination of a chick flick and an action film so its good for everyone.

I thought that the movie was great!.. although it did lack many of the key details that make twilight special. for example, they didn't make it clear of how hard it was for Edward to talk or be around Bella. You couldn't really feel their connection, but i still loved it=D. I thought the acting was good, and the setting plus the special effects were cool too. All in all i thought it was a good movie, and i wouldn't mind watching it again and again=] and i can't wait for the sequel

I thought that this was an excellent movie and that it really did a good job of hitting specific points from the book. However, because I have read all the books I was a bit disappointed that some scenes where deleted, moved too fast, or simply didn't have enough umf. I gave this movie a 4 star rating because in the eyes of a viewer who has not read the books, its would be the best movie of the year, but for those that have read, we have our imputs on how to make the amazing story better in the movie.
