I like almost everyone else have read all of the books and found nothing I have liked better. The movie was really good but I had hoped it would explore the magic of the relationship between Edward and Bella a little more. I must say that vampire has never meshed so well with sexy. At first I was not sure of the choice made for Edward but I have to say I was completely entangled.

I thought this movie stayed true to the book. I truly enjoyed it. Any fan of the Twilight series who has read the books will understand all of the little glances and such! My only "huh?" moments were:
1. The girl at the restaurant. Not the beautiful blonde I pictured!
2. The sparkling. We all laughed at that.
But I did enjoy it, and no movie is ever perfect! (Unlike Edward!)

What most people aren't aware of is that this movie was made on a very very low budget. It was done as an Indie flick which is apparent in the quality of the movie. I am a HUGE fan of the book series and I think they did a good job of transferring the book into a movie. Of course as a fan of the book there are some scenes I would have done differently but I'm not a professional so who am I to say? I will say I don't think they explained Jasper's character enough for those who didn't read the book. I bet New Moon will be much higher quality now that movie companies see how much of a cash cow this movie series is!

This is the best love story since Titanic. The acting by Robert Pattinson makes my palms sweat and my knees get weak, but honestly I think every girl is in love with him now. It isn't just his great acting that steals the show, that accent is real too! That's right he is from London. '-)
When I walked out of the theater, I wanted to buy another ticket and see it again. I called all my friends that were skeptical and couldn't stop telling them about how great this movie is. Ok, I havn't read any of the books but after seeing this movie I now own all of them. I can't wait for the sequel.

The entire first half of the movie is dumbed down and almost emotion-less! All the scenes that build up the stakes and develop the lovestory between the 2 characters have been cut or modified (hello-- they cut the blood typing scene?!). The result is that the relationship between Bella and Edward is reduced to the level of any high school crush.
Once the action kicks in, from the baseball scene on, the movie does a good job. But without the heart of the romance, the overall effect is flat. Really, why did they feel they had to dumb it down so much??

What was good: Bella was well cast. The scenery was amazing. That's about it. Robert Pattinson, so young and cute as Cedric, is creepy, due in part to the scowl that appears throughout. That Bella could be attracted to one so initially rude, with subsequent mood swings, is unlikely, yet she continues to act more ignorant than romantic. Jacob and the werewolves are downplayed to an allusion Bella laughs off with uncharacteristic insouciance. Where is Bella's future best friend, who is going to compete with Edward for her affections? Jacob was relegated to showing up with his father and his exceptionally white teeth. The book had to be cut for time, but I hope they spend more time on the next one. Either way, I'll wait until it's on cable.

A story put to the screen beautifully and tastefully done! So different from sex, sex, sex. I was very impressed with how the director chose to present the story without revealing a lot of "skin". The romantic tension was intense enough. Loved the action and all the characters; true to thier ages. Well done!!

I think the beginning could seem a little hokey and disjointed if you haven't read the books because it's hard to compress everything into so short a time frame. However, I've taken 4 people to see it who haven't read the books and they all enjoyed it, and now they want to read them. I've seen it twice already and I'm going to see it a 3rd time tomorrow nite. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart do a wonderful job of bringing Edward & Bella to life!

Twilight was seriously the best movie I have ever seen! I have read all four of the books and was dying to see the movie. I went to the midnight premier and was not let down. If you compare it to the book then it really isn't the BEST movie, but as just being a movie it was wonderful! I have never seen a movie in theaters more than one time, and I have already seen Twilight twice (still planning to see is at least one more time)! I can't wait for New Moon to become a movie, because I am sure it will be even BETTER! Stephanie Meyer is a great author, and i look forward to reading all of her other books. I am so glad she decided to make the movies! As an overall, Twilight is a great movie and everyone should go to see it! =D

I've seen this movie twice now and every time I watch it, it just keeps getting better. The plot differs from the book slightly, but not enough to distract the veiwer/reader from enjoying it. It's one of the few movies I've watched where reading the book helped make the movie more enjoyable and not a nuisance. I truly encourage you to watch it once before skimming over it in the movie lists at the box office.

The best book based movie I've seen ever! Some parts can seem a bit cheesy at first, but those are easily overlooked once you're totally into the plot, which happens almost instantly! Love it and can't wait for New Moon!

This was the best movie I have seen in a while. I took my 12 year old daughter and we loved it. We clapped, cheered, sighed, and giggled along with everyone else in the theater. I felt like I had a smile stuck on my face by the time we left. We read the series and that helps, but the mom beside me hadn't and she enjoyed the show too. I can't wait for the next movie to come out!!!

I really recommend reading the book before watching the movie otherwise there'll be a chance that you'll be thrown off at how fast paced it is. It's not a bad movie, despite the fact they cut out a lot of stuff from the book. Still, the acting performances were good. Catherine Hardwicke did a good job at directing and the cinematography was really beautiful.

I thought the choice for all the characters was great. I could not imagine anyone else playing in these roles. I am including the supporting cast as well. I do not know if I would say that the movie was great, but I will buy it when it comes out on DVD. I took some nonreaders with me when I went and they left confused and said it did not grab them all the way through. However, they enjoyed what they did "get".

I loved this movie, I even went twice. The important thing to remember is that it is not a complete replica of the book. However, the chemistry between the main characters and the intensity of several scenes is enough to get one's attention. It is really good, and as long as you don't get hooked on the details, you will love it. If you are not a Twilight book fan, you will still love it. It is amazing. Some of the camera shots are a little strange and a few small parts have a cheesy touch, but these minor flaws are not enough to lessen my affection.

I thought that twilight was exciting and enjoyable to watch (with an attractive cast!). However, it lacked some things that many readers were looking for. There was really very little chemistry built up, and the book was first and foremost, a love story. Also, some scenes were random and not in the book, and some omitted scenes were sorely missed. I did like many parts of the movie, however as a whole the scenes were too short and didn't capture the emotions of the book. Edward is sexy but also very gentlemanly and enigmatic, something utterly lacking in the movie. Bella is witty, smart and passionate, something that Kristen Stewart completely fails to capture. The beginning was too rushed, but the end was very true to the story.

This was the best movie I saw all year. I did not read the book so I had no expectations. I thought the story line was interesting, it was romantic, the actors were good, and if you did not read the book, you could not figure out how it would end. It was not overly violent and not trashy at all. Well Done!! You could see this with your mom or child and not be uncomfortable.My daughter read the book and she did not like it as much as I did. I can see how that could happen.
