I was really happy with this movie. I haven't yet read the books but now I will. For someone with no real background on the story it did well to get me into it. I heard some people were disapointed they changed some things. Its a hot love story that makes a girl want to be turned into a Vampire as sexy as this one! Boyfriends send your girlfriends to go see this and wait for them to come home and tear your clothes off!

I have read the series. I enjoyed it. But I only stood in line for a midnight showing to make my fourteen year old daughter happy. I was actually pleasantly surprised. I expected the movie to be mediocre at best, but it was actually pretty decent. Some funny parts, which were great. The characters were believable. It was fun to hear the audience reaction to all their favorite parts of the book. All in all, I gotta say....glad I went and I will be there for number 2.

I went to this movie with three friends, only one of whom had read the books. I didn't have to fill the other two in on much of anything. The plot is simple enough that transferring it to a movie wasn't hard, and they only really skipped out on the history of the Cullins. No explanation on how they got together, or about Alice's lack of memory... but other than that, I can't think of much that was missing.
Of course, as in all book-to-movie transfers, bits and pieces were moved around and shortened and changed a bit, but... I really, honestly, cannot complain about one thing.
Especially how beautiful Robert Pattinson is. :)
Long story short, I was blown away at how well the transition went from book to movie.
I loved it!!

The movie was awesome. The humor added in it just made it that much better. The movie did skip quickly trying to fit everything in just 2hours. If you've read the book over and over, there will be a few small discrepancies, but other than that it was great. Because of the hype, I was afraid that the movie might be a bit disappointing. IT WAS NOT!! I loved it! The stars that I questioned (Esme, Carlisle, etc) were terrific. It was definitely worth the 2.5 hours waiting. GREAT!!!!!

I loved the Twilight series more like obsesed. I had really high hopes for the movie. Since I had already read Twilight I enjoyed the movie. If you have not read the Twilight book you will be really lost and you wont understand what is going on. If I could find one word to describe the movie it would be rushed. I felt like they were trying to hurry up and make a movie but did not take the time to engage us in the plot behind the love story. I hope that they will go into more detail and make the next one better.

I think it must be very difficult to force almost 600 pages of book into two hours. I thought the changes they made to the story were good and necessary for the story to progress in that short ammount of time. I think if you haven't read the book, you might not understand all the subtle things that are wonderful about the movie. I would definitely suggest it, but warn that people should not expect to see the book unfold on the screen in the same capacity or timeline.

i thought it turned out really well. the fight scene at the end was amazing!!! i do agree that it did skip around really fast, and that they missed alot of really important stuff, like when she faints in bio? I also felt they really didn't spend much time building the relationship before they just jumped into it. Overall though, I really liked it and would see it again!

Enjoyed it, but I am probably bias from reading the entire series. If you haven't read the books-I doubt your experience would be as enjoyable...a couple moments in the film were a little "over the top" but overall I thought the acting and naturalness of most of the characters was excellent. Great film!

Great adaptation of the book... Got all of the main parts... The special effects were fun to watch and the cast got the overall spirit of the movie just right... I would have liked to see more of the "Good" vampires but overall a really excellent movie to see... I was not disappointed...

I wasn't disappointed in TWILIGHT because I didn't really expect much from it. I just didn't see how they could put everything from the book, which I loved, into the movie. It met my low expectations. I really liked Edward, but Bella, on the other hand, was not the best actress. I also think that if you haven't read the book, you may be a little lost. If you have read the book, a lot is different, a lot is left out, and it moves too quickly from one part of the story to the next. I think the casting director was right on with Edward, Emmett, Alice, and Dr. Cullen. I love seeing movies over and over but I think I'll stick with the audio version of TWILIGHT and hope for better for New Moon.

If I wasn't a fan of the book, or hadn't read the book at all, I might not understand the movie. You must read the book. It was like my own private little movie to satisfy my visual desires about the book. Kristen and Rob were perfect for these characters. Everyone in the movie was perfect..no one else could have played these characters better. I plan on seeing it over and over.

This movie had much to accomplish riding on the heels of an incredibly successful series of books. It's not possible to include the thoughts and feelings of Bella as we picture her in a short window of 2 hours but the chemistry was wonderful and supporting cast was well chosen. The special effects and beautiful scenery add to the magical encounter between Bella and Edward and the love that blossoms is breathtaking on the big screen. The plot takes a little surprising twist but does not pull away from the original intent of the story line. I only wished I could have heard Edward growling rather than hissing - but it's a small price. A film to enjoy again and again.

Knowing that movies usually fall short of good reads, I didn't have high expectations for Twilight. It was good and I was pleasantly surprised. However, alot of important things that happened in the book were left out of the movie, which I thought was sad and left this really superficial in my opinion. Edward doesn't even recite his lines on why Twilight is his favorite. I liked Charlie, he save the comic relief. Pattinson did ok as Edward, he grows on you. Bella was too one dimensional - She never changed faces. Didn't get enough into the Cullen family . Hated Jacob - wrong casting!! It was way too streamlined and not alot of depth. Overall, it's ok - hopefully in a future one the acting will get better.

Overall I thought the movie was good. There are parts that only someone who read the book would understand. I thought that the flow wasnt good but it was that way to get everything in. You could tell that it was low budget in parts. The cast did amazing and I cannot wait to see more out of the Cullens. I loved the baseball scene. I hope the next one just flows better and gets more money backing it!
Overall- Fulfilled all my Twilight hopes.

Being the mom of two twilight obsessed fans, I have read all 4 books (last is the best) and went to the midnight showing of the movie. It's two hours long, but never felt like that. I was very suprised to find there were just 10 minutes left. IT WAS AMAZING. There were parts from the book that didn't make it but overall it flowed very well. Read to book to get more into Bella's head but Kristen did a standup job & Edward is Perfect makes me wish I was a teen again....well maybe not that far but a must see & must have movie!

I saw it last night at midnight and I loved it! I was pleased with how the story moved, even if things did not quite fit with he book, and Edward and Bella worked great together! If you go and expect it to be different from the book you'll love it. Overall I thought it was great and probably couldn't have worked better in the 2 hours time frame.

It has to be hard being the screen version of what I consider to be the best book/series ever... My anticipation was so built up that it's almost inevitable I would feel slightly let down... While Kristen carried the movie as a wonderful Bella, some of the other side characters proved more comedic in their portrayal than what the role deserved....It made for audience laughter at what were meant to be serious moments...kinda awkward. I think if I had to sum it up- I was excited to see my much loved characters on the big screen but it could have been an hour longer as it seemed too rushed!

For those who have read the book, but haven't resigned themselves to the fact that the movie is an adaptation of the novel, you will most likely be disappointed. But if you can accept that not every line (or, really, even many lines) of dialogue from the book are going to make it into the film, you will be enthralled. There are parts of Twilight that will make you want to scream "Yes!" (please don't scream, though). Other parts will leave you wondering where on earth they got that idea (and not in a good way). Overall, the film is beautiful, captures the general spirit of the novel, and in many cases left me breathless. With that said, I'm off to see it again today!

The actors did an excellent job. The characters were fantastic, electric and mesmorizing. I did not read the books; I am a parent of a girl who read them all. Some reviewers said it moved too fast, but not knowing what I missed, it moved continuously and I didn't fall asleep at the midnight showing Thursday night - a feat in itself as I fall asleep even at 7pm showings.

After watching all the clips and trailers as possible on-line, I was ready. But not prepared for how GREAT it was! I like how they didn't follow the book to a "T." Even my boyfriend who I drug to the movie really enjoyed it. I love how the end leads to a sequel - Let's hope they follow thru. I want to see the journey of forbidden love all the way to the end.

This movie was one of the best movies that have been made from books. If followed the book almost perfectly and we all know that they had to cut things out for time. All of the Cullen's played there part perfectly, same with Jacob, and all the school kids. The one thing that was fun in the movie was that there was humor in it that everyone would under stand which i think is a goo thing for people who have not read the books. I suggest that you read the book before you see the movie because you do have that chance of getting lost with the story line.

Like so many other people have said, it is very helpful to read the book before seeing the movie. I was sad at how much of the book was left out of the movie. Certain parts jumped about 100 pages within seconds, but it was a good movie. 2 hours was NOT enough time, it should have been about 3 or 4, just to ensure what I felt were main points in the book could have been in the movie.

I loved this movie and enjoyed every second of it. There were specific things in the movie that I won't say that did not match up with the book (character wise) but if you didn't compare it to what the books showed it was a good movie. Edward did a good job, but some things were way to over-emphasized but I believe that might have helped people who haven't read the books understand whats going on.

WOW, I went to the midnight showing last night at the Ridgmar Rave. First of they did an amazing job to make sure everyone had good seats by showing it on like 10-12 screens and allowing those with tickets to hop from room to room to find the best seats available. The movie was amazing and everything I expected it to be. Never as good as the book, but met my expectations completely. My ONE and ONLY complaint would be Jacobs hair. Its way to bushy and long...but if that's my only complaint I can easily look past it. They did a great job casting and bringing the characters to life. Yummy!
