This movie was much better than i originally thought it would be.The movie doesnt quite follow the book at the beging, but it catches up soon after, it visually plays out what you've read. My only complaint is that is does seem to go rather fast at first. up until the fight sceen things move so quickly that people who did not read the book might struggle to keep up. I would suggest watching it even if you didnt read the twilight book, if you're looking for a good love story, there is no denying the love that Edward has for Bella, it captures you and holds you there. You almost want to fall in love with the Cullens.

All the actors did an excellent job! Everything that happened was pretty accurate compared to to the book. The one thing I didn't like about the movie was, I felt it moved too fast and left out important parts between Edward and Bella, so if you want to really get to know the characters I would recommend reading the books before you see the movie!!!

This was by far the best movie I've ever seen. It followed the book almost exactly and the actors performed VERY well. To be honest, I was almost surprised when I saw that this was such a good movie. Everyone thought that it wouldn't be that good, me included.

We loved it! We can't wait to see it again. The group of us ranged in age from 59 to 16. We enjoyed it....the comedy, the romance....Edward (big longing sigh here). :-)

Having never read the book, my daughter tells me that I missed a lot. However, I think that the script and storyline stand on their own. The lens work, scene framing and post-production editing did an excellent job of creating the proper mood for this piece. The actors had a great canvas to work with. I think you will easily achieve a state of suspended disbelief and you will come away thoroughly satisfied that you got your full measure of entertainment from your ticket price. I cannot spoil the ending for you - there wasn't one. No matter, I look forward to the obvious sequel. Cheers.

As a make-up artist, I thought the make-up/hair were atrocious. The make-up was too heavy & made the vampires look hokey. The hair extensions were horrible.
The soundtrack failed the movie. Not the songs, but the "scary" mood music was reminiscent of bad, B-movies from the '80s.
Jasper looked like a blend of Martin Short's face w/ Andy Dick's hair & a permanent look of surprise not too far removed from the expression Johnny Depp cultivated for his portrayal of Willy Wonka.
I was pleased w/ the story. I think it is most helpful 2 see the film if you've read the book.
The flashbacks R CHEESY!
Let's be honest, I'd pay 2 watch Rob Pattinson read the phone book w/ Muzak as a soundtrack. He IS that good.

It was wonderful! A great adaptation from the book. It was all brought together wonderfully. And was that Stephine Meyer at the counter in the diner at the beginning- way to Hitchcock it! This movie also needs to be in the top 10 of best all-time movie kisses... a kiss that could kill her, come on now! It was fantastic!

I loved this movie. I have read all the books and I suggest you to read the books before watching the movie. I found myself lost, in a good way, with this movie. I wanted to be there with them. Can't wait for all the sequels!!! :)

I recommend reading the books before going to see this movie. It would be hard to follow for someone who doesn't already know the story line and a lot of the important information gets lost. Overall, I would recommend it, but don't go into it as an avid reader with high expectations. Hopefully with a higher budget, the next film will deliver what this one didn't.

I've read the book. The movie was pretty true with some embellishments. The chemistry was good between Edward and Bella. There were alot of teens in the theater and they clearly read the book and were laughing at the irony of things..........it ruined it for me and my daughter. We would go back and see it later when the theater was empty.

I have read all the books in the series as a "fun" thing to do with my daughter. But I completely feel in love with the books! I think I was more anxious to see the movie than my daughter! We went to the midnight showing and had a fabulous bonding time. The movie was casted so amazingly well. The actors were perfect for their roles. Robert "Edward" Pattinson was very easy on the eyes and Kristen "Bella" Stewart was mesmerizing! What chemistry - a great way to pass 2 hours.

The special effects were absolutely terrible, the story itself alternated between boring and ridiculous, and there were way too many shots that went on a lot longer than they needed to. The actors all gave stellar performances; there was just no way for them to really make this movie shine (or sparkle) with the material they were given. If you like the books then by all means see the movie, but otherwise I wouldn't bother.

As soon as I sat down and the movie began I was totally enthralled at how well it was taken from the book to the screen. Granted the movie was 2 hrs long it felt like a mere 15 minutes and I was ready to watch it again! I cant wait for New Moon to be released! I would encourage anyone who has a hint of romance to them to see this movie!!

The movie was excellent. I think every girl that saw that movie last night left feeling in love with Edward. The only part I would change is when Edward show's Bella "what he really is" upon stepping into the sunlight. That was rather corny. I think they could have made that part a little more realistic. He sparkled like my 3 yo daughter's my little ponies, lol. Otherwise, great movie. I'm very much looking foward to the sequel.

I keep hearing that you have to read the book to appreciate the movie. My teenage daughter read all the books and she wanted to see the preview for Twilight at midnight. I took her expecting to get dome shut eye while she and her friends watched. Instead, I watched and thought the movie was awesome. I enjoyed it as much as or more than the group of teen girls that I took. I am looking forward to seeing the next movie in the series.

If you have never read the book I suggest you don't go see this. I took my friend along who has never read the book and she was sort of lost. The movie moves really fast and is hard to keep up with. I laughed at some of the parts in the movie ans my friend didn't understand why I was laughing.. A must see but read your book first.

This movie was really good. It stuck fairly close to the plot of the book. It only veered from the original plat so that those in the audience that had not read the book would understand. I would STRONGLY ENCOURAGE reading the book before seeing the movie!!!!

Wow! The characters are a true depiction of the novel- especially Edward (Rosalie -- not so much). Robert Pattinson is incredible. Believe the hype! I can't wait to see more!!! I went to the midnight premier and it was like what..... 5 hours in line. Anyway, I have school the next morning but hey, it was worth it because Twilight was much better than I thought it would be. Although, dont watch the movie unless your reading/ or going to read the Twilight Series. Trust me, you do not want to miss out on this movie!! I would totally recommend this movie to a friend!

I am obsessed with the Twilight series, and my biggest compliment to the director and writer of the screenplay is that this movie actually sticks pretty close to the book. It's a huge pet peeve of mine when major details change from book to movie, but this was not the case with Twilight. I read in another post that the movie makes way more sense if you've read the book and I'd have to agree. I think the movie would entertain even a non-series reader, but you get subtle things (i.e. Bella being extremely clumsy through the entire movie, tripping, dropping her bookbag etc) more than someone who is just watching it. I'm very impressed and can't wait for the next film... ;)

Don't get me wrong, I loved the Twilight Series, but I was kind of disappointed when in the first half of the movie Bella and Edward were extremely awkward with each other. Half the crows was laughing when they were together. It really saddened me, and additionally I have to say that I didn't feel Kristin Stewart put her all into the role. Also, isn't Rosalie supposed to be drop dead gorgeous? What happened there? Overall a good movie though since the second half def picked up.

Love the movie. Edward was exremely hot! The fight scene was pretty incredible and some of my favorites are Eric (school mate) and Alice, she rocks! If you haven't read the book, you really ought to. It's so much better.
