The movie was fantastic. There are enough inside things that someone who knows the series will be happy but you don't need to know them to enjoy it. Great casting, great scenery, make-up was a little much at times but not distractingly so. Overall such an amazing movie. Can't wait for the sequel.

I was dragged to the movies at midnight to see this movie with my daugher. After watching, I was so glad that I went! I did not read the book before going like my daughter did and I totally loved it. It does move a little fast but I got it. My daughter thought it was great and she appreciated that they didn't drag some things out like they did in the book. I am going to read the book so I can compare for myself.
You have to see it, it is amazing!

The acting was bad. The story line jumped and if you haven't read the books, it probably didn't make sense. I can't believe Harry Potter changed it's release date for that............................ :(

I thought the movie was great, however, I read the books. I think it isn't going to be as good to someone who has read the first two books really. I loved it though. I thought the characters were EXCELLENT. They were just as I had pictured them while reading! FOUR STARS!!!!

I loved the book. I really liked the movie. I think if you haven't read the book you can't fully understand the depth of the characters. The movie in my mind turned a sexy and sophisticated Edward into a slightly goofy character but I still love him. I wish they would have had a different actress playing Bella (Dakota with dark hair would have been perfect). All in all, I really liked the movie. I hope the following movies will do a better job in the make-up department. I think the movie followed the book very well. I think it followed the book better than any other movie has. I thought it was a great movie!

If you have read the book you will notice that the movie is quite different. It moves very quickly, omits many scenes and changes others. However, it is impossible to include every detail of a nearly 500 pg very descriptive book into an hour and half movie. That being said, the chemistry between Rob and Kristin was incredible. It was smoldering hot. The movie was fantastic and had some great humor in it. Definately a must see.

I liked it better than the book. It was a Fun show. I brought a bunch of giggling 12 and 13 year old girls and every single one of them loved it. It kept the story moving and Edward looked pretty good - except for the freaky sparkling. Too bad Cullen was so pasty because he's pretty cute too.

The movie does a good job of sticking with the book for the most part, save some changes that more than likely had to be done due to time constraints. Teens and young adults will thoroughly enjoy the flick; however, adults may find parts a bit funny when the moment is suppose to be serious. Overall, I will probably go see it again and will recommend to my friends.

I had such a great time last night at the midnight showing! The movie was so silly & corny at times- it was awesome! I LOVED it!! I was so wound up when i got home... my sides hurt from laughing so hard!! Edward's funny faces & Marlon Brando voice...heehee
Edward is so dreamy! VERY true to the book and Twilight is a must read before seeing the movie. LOVED IT ALL! Can't wait to see it again! Enjoy it for what it is...a fun movie...Hearing all the lines from the book come to life on the screen was so awesome! Have fun! GO TEAM EDWARD!

Most fans of the book will enjoy this movie. Like most movies based on books, however, a lot of the nuance is missing. All the main events are included and the story is true to the book. I think a little more time could have been spent on the building relationship between Edward and Bella, but this was overall a fun watch. The only negative was the drunken haters whose only reason for attending was to mock and disrupt.

I definetely think that the movied lived up to expectations. Of course with every movie based off of a book you will have the things you dislike and I had a few. But all in all I think they did a great job. And Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart did a great job. I didn't like either one of them when I first seen who they were going to have play the parts but once I seen them on screen they totally played their parts very well. Will be buying it when it comes out and I will be seeing the sequel. So they better make a sequel!

I love the books so much and the movie just as much. The movie was very different in many ways but they made it work. I think they did a great job picking the actors to portray all the characters. You must read the book before you go see the movie so that you will understand certain things. But I definitely loved the movie!!!

To be honest, I was extremely disappointed with this movie and was expecting so much more. I know that it is very hard to live up to a book that is so phenomenal, but I feel like some of the aspects of the movie could have been a lot more realistic, like in the book. Though I was captured by the characters in the movie, Edward was a lot different than what I expected, a lot more cold and awkward. Overall, it was decent, but I don't think it's something I could watch again. Hopefully the next one will be better.

After seeing the movie Twilight I have fallen in love with the story again. Even though the book was greater in a lot of parts, the movie kind of made a new story.
Everything was amazing. The running was a little cheese, but it was really funny. I highly recomend you see it.

You know the movie is never going to be as good as the book. However, I really did like the movie. The baseball scene and the ballet studio scene were quite good. I don't know if you had not read the book how well you would like the movie. The makeup on the vampires in the beginning of the film was awful and distracting but it got better.

I was very excited to see the movie! Like most books made into movies, there was a lot left out. The screen writer definately took liberty with some of the plot. Overall, I thought it was a good movie. If you don't read the book there are parts that can be confusing. It is obvious who has the book, as they are the ones laughing at scenes that aren't that funny. But because they know what written, it makes sense to them. Not a perfect 5, some of the acting just was too much.

It was great to see that the movie stayed true to the book. It was definately what I expected and more. I would recommend reading the book before the movie, otherwise you won't get some parts of the movie. All of the actors who portrayed the characters in the book did a fabulous job!!!!!!! LOVED IT, WOULD DEFINATLEY GO SEE IT AGAIN!!!!

I LOVED this movie as the movie is actually close to the book. The movie does move very fast through the story so if you haven't read the book you may have a harder time keeping up. Rob Patz did a great job capturing the constant struggle Edward was in, but because he did that, you may find it a bit cheesy as it's surreal and the emotions are constantly wavering on R. Patz's face. I wasn't overly thrilled with the sparkle effect - should have covered his lips and eyes. Kristen was a great Bella - she's stronger in the movie than in the book. I thought the high school kids were perfect - they totally captured how typical high schoolers act - LOVED Mike's scene outside the cafe window - funny.

While a film is rarely able to compare to the experience of reading a book, this film had the opportunity, but in the end, failed to rise to its potential. There were certain scenes in the film that could have been exactly as they were in the book, but for some reason or another, key elements were changed or completely omitted. Scenes were unnecessarily added, which I find frustrating, as those moments could have been used to include more important scenes from the book. If the lack of accuracy is a result of time constraints, then the added scenes only prohibited the film’s ability to stand up to the expectations of the readers. On the upside, the casting of Stewart and Pattinson provided at least one redeeming quality.

This past summer a friend got me into Twilight. I quickly read all the books and fell in love with the characters. I went to the midnight showing and was very disappointed. The movie seemed very low budget and was thrown together like some sort of YouTube video. I love Rob Pattenson but he just didnt do Edward justice unfortunately. Him and Jasper looked a little cracked out to me. I did love Esme, Alice Charlie and the Nomads. I hope if they make the other books into movies they will do a better job!

I thought the movie was great. Some things were left out, but nothing that would affect the overall feel of the movie. The book is better, so if you like the movie, you'll love the book. Can't wait for the next movie to come out though! Great job with James, Edward, and even Bella (even though she annoyed me as much in the movie as in the book). Twilight fans shouldn't be disappointed.

Overall I enjyoed the movie very much, in fact I'm off to see it a second time today. But I agree that it helps if you read the book for some of the inside jokes and to keep pace with the movie as it is very, very fast moving. I think that it is a lot of material to fit into a 2-hour movie and they did their best (though I would have chosen to exchange a few scenes for others I felt would have been better at explaining the plot. If you are a Twilighter, it is a must see though...but don't expect it to be exactly by the book....!

Excellent movie, but you really should read the book before seeing it. I'm a 42 yr old mom of 5 and a huge fan of the series. Kristen and Robert (Bella & Edward) played up to their intense love for each other. I love Alice too!! I'm going to see it again !!!!

I have heard mixed reviews of this movie, pros and cons, mostly from those who read the book before seeing the movie. Personally, I did not read the book before and I'm so glad that I didn't because I do not have to judge how closely the movie follows the book, etc. I absolutely LOVED the movie! We are all going to see it again and we CANNOT WAIT until the next one comes out! Who doesn't love Edward????

AWESOME!! I haven't read any of the books yet and went to the midnight movie with my 15 year old daughter, I hoped to enjoy the movie enough not to get tired BUT I loved the movie and can't wait to see it again soon and read the books. Way more than I expected or hoped for. Edward was as dreamy as my daughter has talked about for the past month.
