Simply put, I'm dissapointed. If you've never read the book, you may enjoy it. Yet, there are things that you may only get if you've read the book. I tried hard not to pick the movie apart. In the end, I unfortunately did. There were key things that I felt shouldn't have been changed. I'd make a list, but don't wish to spoil the book. There are certain scenes in the movie which are good. Some I felt were rushed, much of the movie I felt rushed with. Also small details, like her computer and the cell grated my nerves. All in all, not the best Vamp film I've ever seen and not the worst either!
I promised my roomie that I'd see it with her. Who knows maybe I'll like it better the second time around.

It wasn't enough to have a theater full of screaming girls every time Edward was on screen or even the boring story line the whole movie experience was awful. The acting was terrible and the "love" scenes involved Edward spouting out terribly cheesy and poorly delivered one liners. If you sleep with a Twilight book under your pillow you have probably already seen it but if haven't save your money.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

The movie of course is never good as the book. However, this movie is great, there was a lot of comedic effect just because when you see and hear everything outloud, it does seem absurd, yet that's also because in today's day and age you would never hear such things, which makes everything said that much more wonderful. I will be seeing this movie multiple times, and I will be recommending it to all my friends. Thank you Summit and Catherine for doing a great job!

phenomenal!! It shares a new, unique view to the world of the vampires. The actors/actresses fit their roles wonderfully, and the story line was so very close to the book itself. This movie is hard not to love, and I recommend Twilight to any vampire fan......

If you've read the book before seeing the movie, you will appreciate the story more. All my friends who saw the movie without reading the books enjoyed it a lot, but also interpreted Edward in a very different way than those who read the book first. As with any movie based on a book, there were lots of parts that I wish were included in the movie, or done more accurately, but this is the closest to the book any movie like it has ever come, in my opinion. The special effects also left something to be desired.

If you have read the book you may not be happy with the movie. It moves over important details so fast and leaves other key points out. Several "inside" jokes you won't get unless you have read the book. Very well acted. Special effects were cool. It just seemed to be move very fast or very slow, no in between.

This movie was very disappointing. I'm in love with the Twilight series and didn't expect the movie to ever compare to the books but I was hoping it would have been a little better. It was so sad how quickly they rushed through everything and all the beauty of Edwards and Bella's love story was lost-the cast was good but the script left very much to be desired.

This movie was great! I went to the midnight premiere and the turnout was insane. I agree with other reviews though, it went along with the book well, as far as that goes, I'd give it an 8.5. But some big sections in the book were smooshed together a little. I wouldn't have minded it being a 3 hour movie instead just to be a little more expansive. There are certain parts only a Twilight reader would get, so READ THE BOOK BEFORE YOU SEE THE MOVIE!
That aside, the acting was wonderful and the characters were pretty much on point.
OH! And Stephanie Meyer makes a cameo appearance! It was fantastic!
Go see it if you haven't yet!!

I went to the midnight showing last night and LOVED this movie! I'm probably going to see it again in a few days. A lot of people I know didn't like what the director did with it, since there were a lot of kind of akward scenes that really showed how tough it was on Edward. I liked it that way becuase we saw a glimpse of what we read in "Midnight Sun". I think the acting was great aside from a few silly scenes, such as the Biology lab. If you read Twilight....GO SEE THIS MOVIE! You'll love it! (And look out for a camio from Stephanie Meyers at the dinner scene in Port Angeles. I didn't see her but I was a little too focused on Edward so I'm not surprised!)

I thought Twilight was absolutely fantastic - it was well cast, and followed the book almost EXACTLY!
There were 2 added scenes, I think, but they just added to the back stories (i.e. about James, Victoria and Laurent being the "wild animals" killing people) so that the movie wouldn't seem choppy. The cinematography was fantastic, and made me decide that I too want to live in Forks!!
But I definitly agree with those who said "Read the book first!" If you can, read ALL the books first, because certain lines of Edward's will have you begging for movie #4!!

The Cullen’s, Bella, and Jacob were fabulous!! I read all 4 books and saw the 12:01 show. I enjoyed this movie; however, do agree with other reviewers that the story line moved to fast and those that have not heard the book may understand some of the important detail. I am sad that the meadow was not emphasized more as it's an important setting throughout all the books.
With that said though, I am taking my children to see this movie tonight which will be my 2nd time and I already see a 3rd time in my future.
I hope that the hipe for this movie that future movies take more time on the writing and graphics going forward.
I LOVE EDWARD!!!

Twilight was so good!! A bunch of my friends and my sisters and I all read the Twilight Saga and couldn't wait to see the movie together. I thought the movie was really good. Obviously there are going to be differences from the books... but they did a good job staying true to the story for the most part. Bella and Edward had great chemistry and acting - but some of the side characters' acting was a little sub par. All in all I really enjoyed the movie and really hope they make movies for the other books too!!

Although it is impossible for a movie to follow the book exactly, they came pretty close, I do suggest that you read the book first, or you will have trouble following along. There are a lot of inside jokes that unless you read the book you just didn't quite follow along. Wonderful casting,,,can't wait for the others, we went to midnight showing and had a blast. I know I will be taking my 14 yr, old daughter to see it at least two more times before it leaves the theaters. And yes, Edward-freaking-Cullen is hot. This movie is a definite must see and must have when it comes out of DVD.

Ok, I was really worried about this movie, being a die-hard fan, but I must say that I was giddy at the end of this movie. It was done so perfectly and stayed so true to the story that I, and all the other Twilighters, love. Robert Pattinson plays Edward Cullen (dazzle*) perfectly, and I actually liked Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan. The movie is full of humor, romance, and action - it has something for everyone. And I really thought that the twist ending was quite interesting, making sure that the general public (those who don't know Twilight) would want a sequal just as much as us Twilighters would! Yay TWILIGHT! It was an exciting ride the entire 2 hours and 1 minute of it!!! :D

The movie was good, I've read the series and was anticipating the movie's release. The only thing I can say is that there are just some things better left to the imagination. I don't believe that some of the actors did a very good job pulling off the emotional parts of their characters. It would've been a tough job for anyone. All in all though, I'm a Twilight junkie and I loved seeing the book acted out. I can't wait for New Moon

The movie was good I really liked it but I didnt love it, it couldve been better. The begining of the movie is forced and the relationship between Edward and Bella is rushed into. You dont really understand how inhumanly beautiful he is. The actors playing the Cullens and Bella's friends were portrayed better than I could have dreamed they would have been.
I recommend reading the book first if you can. I saw it with my boyfriend and he liked it except didn't get why we the audience were laughing at certain times referrring to points in the book. I loved Stephenie Meyer's cameo!!!!

The movie was ok... But if you haven't already read the book dont' watch the movie yet!! The only thing i didn't like is that it didnt' really flow like a movie. It seemed like they just acted out pieces of the book and stuck them together. They left out A LOT of details but i guess thats normal seeing as how the movie can't be 5 hours long! but thats what makes Stephanie Meyer's books so good!! Overall the movie was good... Books! I read all four books before going to see this movie, and i LOVED the books! But was horribly disappointed with the movie. It moved to quickly and it was just poor directing! I didn't like it at all, and it almost completely ruined the books for me...but not totally...because Edward is simply amazing:)

Amazing movie! This movie will make you fall in love with it's characters, Literally! This was the shortest two hours of my life. I could have watched another few hours and been quite content. You will not want this movie to end. However, the movie may seem long and pointless if you have not read the books. There are many parts in the movie that are hilarious, or awkward, etc, that you may not understand if you have not read them.
GREAT MOVIE! And i'm already longing for the next!

Before I say anything else, I would like to say that there were many people in my theater that didn't like the movie. It was "a waste of money" to them. I don't want to overexcite anyone about what I'm about to say so just keep that in mind.
I thought the movie was AMAZING!!!!! I have never cried, laughed, or screamed so much in a movie before! I definitely recommend it to all Twilight lovers and even people that haven't read the series, although you may not understand it. AHHHH!!!

I loved Stephenie Meyers books, but I really felt that the movie fell flat. I didn't feel a connection or a sense of Edward and Bella falling in love. I think more narration from Bella might have been helpful. Less glowering from both characters would have helped as well. The movie was true to the book, but that's as much praise as I can muster. I plan to see it again and try to be open, but honestly - I'm not looking forward to it. Read the books - they are amazing, but don't feel TOO bad if you skip the movie.

This movie was everything that i hoped it would be! I think it protrayed the book amazingly. I took my boyfriend who had never read the books to see it with me, and lets just say this morning he has started reading the series!!
