I recommend this movie to EVERYONE! Especially those who have read Twilight. I have NEVER in my 20 years of life been so satisfied from ANYTHING! The actors personalized the characters so I actually fell even more in love with them when i didn't think it was possible. Even if you have not read Twilight, you will most DEFINITELY still enjoy this movie and fall in love with all of the characters. You do not need to read the book to understand the movie. Stephenie Meyer and Catherine Hardwicke did an EXCELLENT job of ensuring that! TRUST ME, GO SEE IT!!!!!!!!!

The books were amaaaaziing, but the movie wasn't horrible like some people are saying.
I thought it was a GREAT movie and would recomend it to anyone and everyone. I was a little skeptical going in but I enjoyed every minute of it. It was quite sarcastic and thus funny.... I don't think some people got the sarcasm and went on to judge it... Nevertheless, It's amazing.. GOOO SEE IT : ]

I have never been so blown away by a young adult book ever before. This was the best book that I've read in a very long time. Any woman could relate to Bella and the love story is what girls ALWAYS dream of. The movie was AWESOME! This cast played each character perfectly. They were just how I imagined they'd be while I was reading the book. Edward is GORGEOUS and Bella is so beautiful. I am a little sad that it was so short. Two hours just doesn't seem like enough time to really get into the story and the scenes do move a little too quickly. That just means you'll have to go see it again! This movie was so worth seeing ! You really should read the book then GO SEE THE MOVIE. No idea what you're missing!

i LOVE the twilight saga, and have read them more than once. i know that they would be changing things in the movie, but i am very disappointed in how much they left out and how they just flew threw the movie. to me it felt like they were just trying to hurry up and get threw the movie. i think i would have enjoyed it a lot more if i had not read the book first and read it after i watched the movie, that way i would have had more of an opne mind about it.

Went to the 12:01 premiere last night in Dallas. I'm a 32 year old and have read all 4 books. So even though we had a great time at the premiere, the movie left me so sad and ready to re-read the books so I have my perfect view of Twilight once again.
I didn't go in with high expectations, because really...has ANY movie ever lived up to the book??? But the cheesy acting by most of the actors, cheesy special effects, horrible make-up, choppy flow and added scenes (not in the book) made me sooo sad. Please get the script, acting and appearances RIGHT! Oh dear, I'm sorry Stephanie!!! You are brilliant and have a GREAT story to tell. You're the one who got me reading again! The movie production/director/etc. messed it up. READ THE BOOKS!!!!

I am just now jumping on the Twilight train, and I started to read the first book a couple of days ago. I couldn't wait to finish the book THEN see the movie so I jumped the gun and went to a 12:01am showing, and I was NOT disappointed! The movie only made me want to keep reading. I thought Bella and Edward lived up to my expectations, and once I left the theater I was thinking about when to see it again!
I can't wait to finish the books and I'm anxiously waiting for the next movie!

I had very high expectations for the movie. Many people told me not to, but I couldn't help it. All the together Catherine Harkwicke, Kristin Stewart, and of course Rob Pattinson made an awesome movie. The actors portrayed the characters perfectly. I was very impressed by how much Rob looked like the Edward I picture in my head all these years. When he comes on the screen you know he hit it out of the park. Some parts of the movie were a little "cheesy". But it was expected, this was after all a teen romance. Nonetheless it was a great movie and totally worth watching it more than once. I'm going again tonight because it is all I can think about. Go watch it!

I must admit I am a HUGE fan of the books and was anxiously waiting for this movie to come out. I watched a few clips and wasn't really impressed but thought "Hey it's bound to be good". If they could get it to be at least 60% as good as the book I would be satisfied.
I got tickets for midnight & I was in shock from the beginning, everything was different. The movie was super confusing- one min. he hates her, next their dating, then she flees... where was the romance, the subtle looks that made this forbidden love story memorable?
The acting was laughable, the filming was cheesy, the action was droll... what happened?
I am so not looking forward to seeing "New Moon" - I'll settle for putting my nose in the books twenty times over!

I thought the movie followed the movie really well. I was very happy with the movie. I think they did a great job with picking the actors and actoress. Overall I thought the movie was awesome. It was a good old fashioned movie with no sex, violence, and vaulger langauge.

I'm afraid I had too high expectations for the movie, being an avid fan of the books. If you are like me, then be prepared. The movie doesn't come anywhere close to capturing the books intensity.
The flaw was that they tried to capture the passion of the books by using the words they said and the action, and really that wasn't what made the books so incredible. It was the emotions and the passion between Edward and Bella that drove every move, which wasn't reflected in the movie. Which was disappointing.
Every fan has to see the movie for themselves, if only to see some of the things they dreamed about come to life. But be prepared, it wasn't anything like I hoped, and know it had the potential, to be.

My DD and I went to the midnight showing of Twilight because we could not wait one more day to see the much hyped movie. I have been a Twilight fan since my DD bought me the book for Christmas a few years ago. After having read the books, I speculated how they could possibly find the right actor to play Edward. I am pleased to say that Robert Pattinson captured Edward's brooding and passion. Kristen Stewart portrayal of Bella showed a less self conscious young woman, but I believe this was necessary to make the character believable on the big screen. The cinematography was stunning, with the epic appeal of fantasy blockbusters.
The story itself was true to the books and scored in a big way with the audience.

As an avid reader you can never expect a movie to be as good as the book. It never happens, but this movie was very good. They did a good job keeping very close to the book and the chemistry between Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart was excellent. I was not disappointed as I did not go in expecting a whole lot. Again the movie was worth watching and I can't wait to see New Moon.

I saw the movie last night at the midnight showing. It was amazing and disappointing at the same time. It was an awesome movie and Edward looks absolutely gorgeous!!! I definitely recommend it!!! GO SEE IT!!!! but I think I had such huge expectations after reading all the books. You MUST read the book before seeing this.

There's a lot of hype about how much of the book they left out or how much of the trailers that we not in the film -- cast that aside! It's a great film with a fast pace. It was about 2 hours but it literally FLEW by. The casting and acting are amazing as is the stunt work and memorable love scenes. Get ready for a white-knuckler of a ride.

I loved this movie. Sure there were some great parts from the book that werent there, but the movie made sense and amazing anyway. Not to mention Rob Pattinson did a great job playing Mr. Perfect. I loved it. And my brothers who haven't read the books liked it too! can't wait to watch it again!

I have been waiting for this movie to come out for months and nothing was going to stop me from seeing the midnight showing. I do think that in order to really enjoy the movie, you should read the book. There were parts when the whole theater laughed because we all knew what the character was thinking, even though it wasn't indicated at all. I think Edward and Bella were phenomenal and the whole movie stuck to the book as coherently as possible and changed very little which was nice. I really enjoyed it and if you haven't read the book, go read it and all the others so you can have the best movie experience possible.

I liked the movie overall. It was much more humorous than I had expected from what the clips were showing, which was very enjoyable. I thought that the characters personalities were very much spot on to their depictions in the series which was also pretty awesome. I think it would be fun to see this movie even if I weren't already an established "Twilighter."

I was disappointed by some of the actors chosen. I know Edward fans are going to be upset, but Robert Pattinson was not who I pictured when reading the books. It took me a little bit to warm up to Kristen Stewart. I did not like how Billy's character was trying to be all "hip"-that's not how his character is portrayed in the books. All in all, I think if I had seen the movie before reading the books, I would've enjoyed the movie more. I thought the scenes moved too quickly and seemed kind of choppy. If you didn't read the book first, I'm not sure you could keep up. Don't slay me because of my opinion--I'm trying to look at it from a critical standpoint and not by the Edward/Jacob infatuted one :)

I've read Twilight and New Moon, and I think the the characters were cast very well in the movie! Anyone can enjoy the movie whether or not they read the book. I do agree that there were several parts I wouldn't have understood if I hadn't read the book. I even had a few good laughs. I hope they film New Moon next!

okay so i read the book before going out to see this movie and i have to say it had its ups and downs. I was a bit dissapointed by ms stewart's performance, i think someone else could of played the part better. Robert pattison as well as everyone else did awesome, Edward was so completely gorgeous and well it was rushed abit to much and i think the movie could have been a whole lot better. But the end was the best part and i guess if there would have been a bigger budget and maybe a different director all would have worked out nice. Hopefully the next one will have more to offer

i love the books of course, , but it failed to meet my expectations. The director completley changed the story, leaving out all the important scenes and details, If you want to enjoy this movie i suggest NOT reading the book first because if you do you too will just be disapointed. they added some scenes that took away from the plot .. the only good part of the movie was that the casting was all spot on and the actors and director did an excellent job capturing the awkwardness of the characters, . but it was definitely not worth the hype or waiting outside in 29 degree wheather for an hour and a half to see it. I am so beyond dissapointed. If i saw it again i would not want to pay for it, its not worth it.

I am probably one of the biggest (adult) fans of the Twilight series, which is why I waited in line amongst the screaming tweens for the midnight showing.Ten minutes into the movie I could already tell that it was going to be a disappointment. Not only does it stray from the book but the characters and their relationships barely scratched the surface in the movie. The lack of character development and poor editing are just two of many factors that left me unengaged & unsatisfied. Robert Pattison's portrayal of Edward Cullen was the highlight of the film. Kristen Stewart was endearing,but she lacked the overall nature of Bella's character in the book.The movie does the book NO JUSTICE WHATSOEVER!

Any book that's made into a movie is bound to leave things out ... you have to expect and allow for that. But by and large I think they did a good job adapting this one. Robert Pattinson does a terrific job with Edward's awkwardness in particular ... and I'm not just saying that because he's pretty.
I would have liked to have seen a little more about Bella not feeling worthy of Edward, I think that gave a lot of insight into her character in the book and we missed that depth in the movie. But aside from that .. it was very well done.

I thought that the actors could have a little more talent. I thought they were not very physically attractive, but I LOVED the movie. It moved way too fast though. I don't see how the movie could ever measure up to the book. The movie would have to be about ten hours long to satisfy me, and that is probably not going to happen anytime soon. I kind of liked that Bella wasn't so attractive looking, it made it real. The relationship moved too fast to capture the intensity and spark between Bella and Edward. I would pretty much give it a full rating no matter what the movie was like because I liked the book so much.

Wonderful, fast paced, touching love story. And for all the guys out there plenty of action too. If you don't like it keep it to yourself, Don't spoil our fun drooling over Edward adn his perfect LOVE for Bella.

Saw this movie with a friend who had not read the books and she liked it even more than I did! The story line was very true to Stephanie Meyer's descriptions. The actors were chosen perfectly! Bella Swan could not have been cast better. One bit of advice...we went to the midnight movie, showed up at 10:15 and stood in a line longer than Harry Potter!!! Be prepared to WAIT...definitely worth it!!!!
