my god those are some GORGEOUS people!!! i like mike, emmet, ALICE!!!, edward and the chic that plays bella! oh wait laurent is a hottie too!!! it just wasn't long enough damn it. i'm really upset that they changed the meadow scene and how he shows her he sparkles..a.nd there were a few other parts i ddi't care for..i feel like he way overacted the scene in bio when they first meet. but the baseball seen was so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twilight was just about what I expected. A good movie made on a cheap budget, about a brooding boy and a girl who is out of step with the rest of her world. Robert Pattinson may have been unintentionally funny a time or two, but after Edward allows himself to be with Bella...he stole the show for me.
And, oh my, that kiss!
The supporting cast was very good and even though I am what you would call Team Edward, Jacob Lautner's small role has me screaming for the sequel, New Moon! And Victoria! She alone is the reason my husband will go see the movie. Charlie was an unexpected bit of laughter as well.

I think this movie did not hit the mark, sadly, it never depicted the intense love and never quite built the undying love between the two. The relationship between Bella and Alice was never established. It seems to me that most of the movie was left on the editing room floor. If I were Stephanie Meyer I would be very sad. I think they need to hire a different screen play writer. This was not the movie I expected. The actors were great, all did the best possible with the scripts that were given, but the scripts I feel was the issue here.

As a HUGE Twilight fan, I was there at the midnight premier, but I left disappointed. Book adaptations are hard, how true to the book do you stay because of time constraints? I think the problem was that they tried to stay TOO true to the book. Everything with Bella and Edward felt so rushed. They had great chemistry, but I still wanted more time to develop their relationship. All of a sudden they were in love and I didn't feel it yet. So much extra time was spent on the ancillary characters (such as school friends and even parents) that even I had trouble getting them all straight. They could have been in the background and still served a purpose without introducing all of them. Focus should have been on B & E, not other characters.

In general, it was awesome to see one of my favorite book series really come to life. All of the special effects we amazing. I brought a friend who hadn't read the book and thought it was awesome as well.
So yes. Go see it. 100 times. Especially if you don't want to be the only person who HASN'T seen it and has no idea what anyone is talking about. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring people who have never heard of Twilight, and watch in awe as the amazingness unfolds before you.

I was really disappointed in the movie. I loved the book so much that I think the version in my head was much better than it actually played out. The plot was too choppy, moved too fast, and the acting wasn't really up to par. The actor playing Jacob was the best one and he was only in it for about 2 minutes. I just wish they would have taken more time to let the plot and the romance build up to where it was in the book. There were some funny parts but mostly it was a let down.

I have to admit i was going in a little sceptical about how it would follow the book and i will say that it did a very well job following the book and portraying all the characters both their features and their personalities. I do have to say though that the only down side is that they moved a little to fast through the scenes of the book. Other then that it was great. But you really must read the book before going to see it or you will be lost.

As someone who absolutely LOVES the Twilight series I was dying to the see the movie. The previews looked amazing and I could not wait to see it Friday so I saw it at the midnight release. Unfortunately the film itself left something to be desire. The movie tries to cram too much into too short of a time,
At the release the audience was laughing constantly throughout the movie, and the parts that seemed funny were not supposed to be. Jasper's character is aweful, and overall the acting/delivery is terrible. This movie had a lot of potential, but fell short. I only hope the directing and acting is better in the next film.

I must also recommend the book be read before watching this movie. I was sad because parts of the book were left out, that could have been so easily inserted...Like a darn stiletto heel.... I really did not get the feeling that Bella was as fascinated with him as I did while reading the book, until the end of the movie. Overall its a great movie, I would watch it again! GO TEAM JACOB!!!

The movie was good, but not great--though I am not sure it could ever live up to the book. I felt the movie was rushed even though it was a solid 2 hours. Also, if you haven't read the book, I'm not sure you could follow and/or appreciate the struggle of Edward and Bella's relationship. I was also disappointed in the lack of development of the supporting characters, specifically Alice. However, for the most part, the movie was true to the book. I will definitely see it again and I'm sure I'll enjoy it more when I'm not comparing it to the book.

This movie was so not what I expected. It was oddly funny which was ok, I guess... but there were some scene in there that were just breath taking and that made up for those really odd scenes (like the first lab scene-thats totally a face that Edward would never make)... the special affects are totally what you would expect from a low budget movie. But I would totally go see it again just cause I really want them to get out the sequels expecting that they will get better. The scene of the kiss-totally worth it.

I am a 43 year old mom whose daughter is 15 and made me read the books. I loved the series of Twilight. I have read them twice and some say I have a weird addiction. I love the writing done by Meyer but the movie did it no justice. The important scenes of the movie were changed and they added scenes instead of taking something else out of the book. The director did not show how their love for eachother was profound, instead she quickly went through scene to get to another scene. The movie was rushed and should of been longer. The characters were beautiful. The movie started to get better in the second part but still seemed rushed. I hope in the next movie, the people who write the screenplay stick more to the story line.

I was very pleased that the movie lived up to my expectations! I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Although it may seem slow in some parts, viewers have to remember that believe it or not, not everyone has read the books (shocking I know!) so they do need to do the back story. There are a few chuckles here and there on character's "looks" they give others but i cannot even begin to tell you how great this movie is.
Be prepared for the younger crowd to do a few screams when any Cullen or Jacob walks on the screen. Even with that going on, still WAY worth it to see it!

I thought that overall the movie was good. I feel they casted Edward, Bella, and Charlie perfectly as well as Laurent, James, and Victoria. However, I was not feeling the other members of the Cullen clan. Also, the story moved VERY quickly, and I felt like they left out so much of the back-story that it would be difficult for a non-reader to understand the connection between Edward and Bella. I left the movie definitely thinking that the book was more 'satisfying'.
Another nit-pick thing that was distracting for me was the costumes. I thought that the wigs that the Cullen clan were wearing were so obviously wigs that it was not believable for me. That probably had something to do with why I couldn't get into the Cullen characters.

I'm an avid fan of the Twilight series of books. Summit Entertainment did a pretty good job with this movie. The book is so much better then the movie. Neverthless, Kristen Stewart did a fabulous job playing the clumsy and brooding Bella and Robert Pattinson made an attractive Edward. I was disappointed in the bad "vampire" makeup the Cullins were forced to wear.
Overall the movie was pretty darn good. I couldn't give it all five stars because of the over acting on the part of Robert Pattinson, the bad makeup, and the puny size of Jacob Black. Regardless of how anyone reviews this movie, all the Twilight fans will be lining up to see it...and I just might find myself lining up to see it again.

There were some new scenes and dialogue and some scenes taken out as well, visuals were breathtaking. Although sometimes it came off as corny. The transitions between scenes could have been smoother and the acting left some to be desired. The dialogue sometimes seemed forced. Pattinson and Stewart really had some great chemistry and the heated glances they gave each other were right on target. I didn't like Robert Pattinson for the role but I did think that he gave it his all and made Edward inhuman/human at the same time, you see the constant analyzing of every situation and anguish on his face the whole movie. Great job to all involved for giving Twilight fans something they can be proud of.

I thought the movie was good, but only if you have read the book. I felt that the plot was a little weak , and it also didn't have the building curosity/tension that Bella had about the Cullens. She appeared at school talked to him once and then they were declaring themselves. I did like the second half of the movie, the baseball and ballet studio scenes were really great. If you are a fan of Twilight, you will enjoy the movie.

Let me preface this by saying I felt this movie was very true to the book.(unlike other unmentioned movies) However, the story moved very quickly, and at the end I felt as though I should still be in the middle of it rather than at the end. The actors all were wonderful, specifically Bella, James, and Alice. Rob Pattinson (Edward) of course was wonderful as well. I would recommend this movie to any fan of the twilight books. You won't be disappointed.

The ladies and I went to the midnight premier of twilight last night and it was AWESOME! Our tight little community of Team Edward was in the room last night. There were the collective sighs of adoration, the whistles, the hoots and the hollers all at once as he appeared on the screen the first time. Throughout the movie there are various "book reader comedy" moments, as I like to call them. These are the moments where you only understood the hilarity of some of the characters IF you read the book. Overall it was an awesome movie, and the only critique we had as a group was the casting of Esme Cullen. We all felt she was a bit on the frumpy/June Cleaver side and not so much the air of suave and gentile nature that the book portrays.

The chemistry between the two leading characters is amazing and the movie remains pretty loyal to the book, but i my opinion the plot seemed a little rushed. The actual movie time could have been longer; because some scenes weren't in the film, non readers just didn't get some of it. The actors did an....ok job, but i think that in the following movies they will grow to better understand their characters. Also i wish they had included more about the other characters. Alice only has a few lines and Jaspers power is never mentioned. Oh well, I still really enjoyed it and will probably more than just twice.

This movie I must say turned out better than I expected. You probably should read the book before you see the movie though. Some things that happen in the movie would only make sense if you have read the book. A lot of things had to be left out but they got the big points in. And they made sure to keep you laughing. The book is better, but as I said this movie was really good. I'm planning to see this movie again this weekend. I'm really hoping they make the rest of the movies to go along with the books.

Coming from a fan of the books, I went to the midnight premiere braced for disappointment, and rightfully so. Dialogue and rushed sequence of events were so forced. TERRIBLE acting. If you read the book, you know everything they attempted to cram into the movie (doing a very haphazard job of it). If you didn't read the book, all this random knowledge is quickly thrown at you without any motivation behind it. The ONLY good thing to the movie was of course the devistatingly handsome Robert Pattinson. Sadly even his intense hotness can't deter me from getting a refund on my previously purchased tix for tonight. I hope for the sake of this saga that they do a WAAAAAY better job with New Moon, if they get a chance at it.

i was actually left totally unsatified.. i know the book was too long to fit into 2 hours then why was it only 2 hours? it moved way too fast.. it was like the titanic on speed.. u need to read the book first or it wouldnt makes sense why things were so intense.. it was so deep so fast that it took all the good moments in the book and cheapened them.. then they changed parts in order to make other scenes possible but then those scenes where not even in the book.. i was given the impression that it was going to be closer to the book then it actually was.. jasper only had one line?? seriously? i know im nit picking but there was just too much missing..

I have to say I wasn't overly impressed. Having read all three books, which were absolutely amazing, I have to say the movie did not meet my expectations. For one Edward and Bella's relationship moved way too fast. There were also changes from the way things happened in the book that were just disappointing. Overall the way movies go I think it was good, but it definately did not live up to the what the books are.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The movie missed conveying that passionate romance that is so prevalent in the book. The script seemed to focus on the non essential parts of the book and a lot of the heart of the story was left out. The romantic scenes in the book were better than the scenes that were written for the movie (Edward and Bella didn't need to climb trees) and the meadow scene was the heart of the book and it seemed like it was rushed in the movie, and changed too much from what it was supposed to be! I think people who have never read Twilight might enjoy the movie more even if there are parts that they won't get. The acting seemed forced. I don't think it was directed vary well, I think the actors were talented just not guided properly!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
