I love the fact they hit the key points. Yes they did leave out a lot of info but since when has a movie ever been better than the book. I loved the movie and I am definitely buying once its available on DVD

Romeo/Juliet teenage angst, which is portrayed so well by the actors that it is almost annoying and frustratingly slow watching them go through it. Waiting through the mind games of the first half is completely worth the finish. Edward Cullen's dynamic character is played by a very talented Robert Pattinson often having to display his moods without words, only facial drama. Kristin Stewart's role didnt seem as complicated so I wasn't as impressed with her. Not much action, one fight scene toward the end and the stunts are amateur but this is a date movie the guys could endure

I was thrilled with Twilight. You always go into a movie created from a book, with some apprehension, wondering what they changed, what they didn't include, did they get that character's true being.... But always you should have an open mind and be aware that a book of that size can not be shoved into a 2 hour movie. So with that said, I think the Director, Producers, Writers, and actors, should be proud of what the accomplished and I look forward to seeing how much better they will get with New Moon. As for the actors, I truly believe they made and excellent choice with each and every one.

I really liked this movie . The only part that sort of dissapointed me is Kristen Stewart was a little boyish. I highly reccomend reading the book before you see the movie . I read the book first which was a lot easier to understand. I went with a friend who hadn't read the book before she saw the movie and kept on asking me questions throughout the movie. Summit provided Bella with a little to much technology. But other than that it was REALLY good.

I've seen it 3 times, and loved it each time. Some of the stunts and visual effects aren't that great, but it's to be expected when you have a low budget. But, I love Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!! Great chemistry, and they're perfect for the roles!!

I loved this movie! I am a big fan of this series and was very impressed with this movie. I know a lot of ppl thought it was too different but I didnt. Before even seeing the movie i knew the book would be better- and I was right. In my opinion you cant really appreciate the movie if you didnt realize that.

Expect something more akin to an indy movie when you go see this. It's shot differently than something with a AAA movie budget, and the expectation of that kind of budget may hurt some peoples ability to enjoy this movie for what it is. In addition I felt the pacing on the movie felt very tight. I didn't check the time once during this movie. Guys this is one of the least painful date movies you will experience (just keep an open mind and expect a low budget movie). In the interest of full disclosure. I have read the book and I'm not a huge fan, though it is decent for what it is (being neither teenage nor a girl I was not the target audience). I felt this is one of the rare occurrences where the movie outshines the book.

Ok, this review is for those who have never read the books. The movie without previous knowledge is very boring. The beginning drags, no action happens till the end, and the acting is horrible. I would rent instead of wasting money in a theater. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE READ THE BOOK: I was very disappointed. All the lines were switched around... too much was changed. The movie lost the essence the book had. I gave the movie a go, but even my husband was falling asleep and he loves romantic movies. Especially vampire ones.. the theatre was quite. There were some good scenes, but a lot to be desired.

Having read the books I was so looking forward to seeing this movie, I tried to keep my expectations low so I wouldn't be disappointed. I wasn't. What a great adaptation of the book. I thought it was well done and am excited to see what they do with the next installment. I thought they chose actors appropriately and Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson did wonderful jobs bringing these characters to life. I am so impressed with Pattinson's facial expressions, you can feel how pained he is restraining himself from Bella. Overall, I thought it was a great movie (not an oscar winner by any means but very entertaining) and I can't wait to buy it on DVD!

I'm a huge fan of the Twilight Series. So when I heard they were making a movie version of the book, I was really excited. I knew immediately that the film version would most likely be different than the actual books due to time contraints and budget.
However, I didn't think that I would leave the theater after the movie that disappointed. I thought that many of the added scenes in the film could've been substituted with scenes right from the book. It would've made more sense. The beginning of the movie was choppy, confusing (unless you've read the books and can mentally fill in the gaps), and very rushed. Overall, I just thought that the movie could've been a lot better.

This is one of the best vampire movies; it portrayed vampires like they've never been before. i really like this idea of edward and the cullens.
Althought my only turn off was the actress who played bella's part. she wasn't very convincing.

I thought the movie was fairly good, but nothing compared to the book! But, I felt with just 20 minutes additional footage, they could have shown more of Edward's sense of humor! The book had me laughing so much and I missed that in the movie...such Edwards jokes about Bella's driving, her talking in her sleep, her fainting, etc. Plus Alice is one of my favorite characters, and she should have had way more screen time. She is a major character, and Bella's best friend, throughout the series! Again, with a few extra minutes the movie could have been spectacular!!

Only if you read the books. I think If you hadn't you might be a little confused about this girl just all of a sudden falling in love with this vampire for no particular reason. There was stuff there that can only be understood if you read the book. Fun to watch the book come to life. It was pretty good. I was impressed with the actors, I thought it was going to be this huge cheesball romance that ruins the book but it held its own. Worth watching if you fan.If you haven't seen this movie. I suggest you do it sometime when the little girls are in school. I went to see it opening day and I swear those little girls would not shut up! I'm a huge fan and was probably as excited as them but I wasn't inconsiderate to the audience.

I did love this movie only because I did read the books and it was nice to see it come to life on the big screen. If you havent read the book then maybe you might think it is a little lame. The next movie needs better special effects and smoother transistions.

They were able to get the main point of the book across very well, and the characters were believable. Very appropriate for all younger teens as well and I felt that the love scenes were very tastefully done. Overall a very enjoyable movie.

As a 40+ year old mother of a teenage daughter who one day told me I needed to read Twilight, I have to say I really enjoyed the movie as well as the book. Movies based on books can often be a disappointment so I did not expect much going into it but I was plesently surprised. I first saw it opening weekend and I have to say the audience kind of took away from the movie with some of their antics. But I recently took a friend who is a vampire movie lover to the movie one quiet tuesday morning when hardly anyone was out and found the movie "better" the second time!!

"A fantastic movie for those who miss Buffy-a romantic and deep vampire movie that will transcend because even though it is set up in a high school environment it touches issues that are skin deep.

I have read the book and i liked it. When i saw the movie i was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I dont understand why people didnt like this movie just because it left some stuff out and they didnt like some of the actors.To me i recomend this movie to everybody.
