OMG!!!! My best friend and I saw this movie last night at midnight at the Rave and it was totally worth it. It was amazing even though the Cullen house wasn't how I imagined it but I know that Stephenie and the directors couldn't follow everybody's fantasy.
I definitely recomend reading the book before seeing the movie because there are a lot of parts that would be hard to understand with out reading it first.
I really love that Stephenie had a cameo in the movie, that was really cool!
Well, thanks for reading my review. When I love something I write a lot about it so it's a good sign. I loved this movie and if you love vampires and a good love story you should see this movie!!!

Seriously, I wanted to at least like this movie, but there's no way. The Cullens looked like they'd been rolled in powdered sugar, the best acting was Mike and Chief Swan and the relationship between Bella and Edward was unbelievable at best. Where's the meadow scene and was Edward sparkly or sweaty, I couldn't tell...The audience was in hysterics over the biology scene and I'm pretty sure it wasn't supposed to be funny. They screwed up the story line and left out or butchered some of the best lines from the book. I'm going to go re-read the saga again so I can get this nightmare out of my brain.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

If you're an avid fan of the Twilight Saga, the movie version did you no wrong. The adaptation was superb. A few frustrating changes here and there, but nothing to get too anxious about. Casting was perfect. Ambiance in the whole movie was phenomenal. Even if you haven't read the books, I highly reccommend going and seeing Twilight. It's a great romance twisted with some suspense and adventure. Get your butt to the theatre immediately!

The chemistry of Bella and Edward made this movie work. I fell in love with Edward all over again. I need more so until then I will just have to watch this movie over and over again. I hung on to every word and I hunger for more. I may act as Bella did in Edwards absence.

I just read all the books and saw the movie last night. I think if you havnt read the books parts of the movie wouldnt mean as much to you. I think the story went a little fast. I dont think the relationship was developed as much as it should have been. I do think Edward was awsome. I thought he looked just scary enough but sooo hot!!! I think Bella was a little awkward but she did ok. The action was good, the intensity was good, and the villians were really good. I think the Cullens in general were perfect! I already want to see it again!!!!

We went to the midnight showing with my daughter - even on a school night! The movie was very true to the book, the actors were well chosen for the characters - just as you imagine them while reading and the storyline intact and in fact streamlined in a good way. It was worth the missing sleep. To me Bella was a little over dramatic - but then she is a teenage girl, and my teenager thought she was perfect (so what do I know, right?) We are already planning the next viewing

At the beginning of the movie where Edward first smells Bella, you would of had to read the book to know what was happening. The friend that I took, asked me what was wrong with him and why was he acting like that. So for that part you would have to read the book. Also some of the other parts, it didn't explan the relationship challenges between Edward and Bella. It was a really good movie to be low budget, but you could tell with the flying that it was a low budget film. i would suggest that if people do go see the movie without reading the book, when you leave the theater, go buy the book to get a better understanding of the whole concept of it all.

Edward was amazing! I didn't connect with Kristen-lacked something that book Bella had. Jacob was not at all what I expected it will take a bit to accept him as character portrayed in book 2. Alice &Jasper were terrific.There was so much depth & emotion left out. Seems they played it down to reach younger audience - if they read the book they understand the story. Hope next movie makes up for what this one lacked. Overall, wouldn't have missed seeing the characters come to life on screen. I've enjoyed vampire stories for a long time (Anne Rice fan) - this story & movie puts the vampire in a contemporary setting it's refreshing.

While I do feel the movie moved fast through the book plot, it's hard to live up to amazing books! Which we have learned with harry potter! However I still love both book series and the movies!!! :)
Some of my favorite scenes were the baseball, when Edward introduced Bella to his family, and when Edward and Bella rode to school together for the first time (Robert looked so hot in his sunglasses!!). The movie had great comedy and I think did a great job capturing the book overall!

This movie was AMAZING. I thought it would be just another teen vampire movie at first but it proved me wrong. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is the over use of the special effects to make them look fast! It seemed pretty cheesy to me. Anyway, as a lover of the books since '05, I have to say that I was very pleased!

i love the series! i was expecting alot more but unforintely i dont think its possibe to get a whole entire book into a 2 hour movie..i was slightly disapointed with how fast transitions were made..she was in love with him on the first day they met lol..if you didnt read the book you will be a little lost..anywys it wasnt horrible but it wasnt the best either..definitly not worth me going at midnight last night and waiting on lines for hours..wont repeat that mistake for the next one..

James and gang didn't have that big a role in the book, not needed in film. One of the best parts of the book was science class blood typing, feel that should have been in the movie. Without giving away a lot movie, Rob,not who I saw as Edward but he does an awesome job, especially first encounter in Science class. Characters are raw /passionate. Actors did an excellent job of owning their parts. They truelly transformed the characters for me. Now when I re-read the books-I will vision things differently. If you haven't read books-you will see it as an awesome movie. I rated it good because the movie never as good as the books. Great Cameo Stephenie! Like the way they ended the film- ready for #2!

I really enjoyed the movie, the acting was very good. Where I thought the movie lacked was how much of the storyline was sacrificed for the sake of special effects. There was so much back-story, particularly the development of the storyline surrounding the developing relationship, that was lost so they could put more visual effects in. The visual effects were stunning, but I would have liked to have seen more of the interplay that was the basis of the story. It is a good movie, particularly if you've read the book. I just wish they would have fed the story more.

I knew it was going to stink, but it exceeded my expectations. It was worse then I thought. If you didn't read the book, the story line is much different. The acting, the angles they shot from, special affects: horrible. And if you thought it was the least bit good, you didn't read twilight or understood it. They added stuff, deleted stuff. Obviously teenage girls across the country love the book, so why ruin it with this movie? Bella wasn't so bad, Edward could've done much better. I was planning on taking my book with me and mark everything they did wrong, but if I were to have done that, I would miss a lot of things because within the three seconds it would take to write it, I would miss another thing they did wrong. I'm disappointed.

Went at 12:01 am this morning - my expectations were not very high, but the movie really was good. I agree with the poster that said the Forks HS students - Jessica, Mike, etc... did an excellent job. As did Rosalie, Emmett, and Victoria. Edward was amazing. Disappointed with Bella, but I knew that actress was the wrong choice. You must read the book first, there are some cheesy parts in the movie but they are easy to overlook due to the rest of the movie and how good the book is.

overall, the movies wasn't AS GREAT as i expected it to be. and there was too much awkwardness between the actors. they didnt really touch the part of how edward or bella is supposed to act.but overall, i think they did a pretty good job in trying to fit everything as much as they could. the movie was really funny too, something i didnt expect. it's funnier than the book. but i think the movie was ok. it's not what i would call fantastic or phenomenal, but it was good. it would be best if you've read the book already because there are some things in the movie that you might not fully get unless you've read the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed Twilight. Rob Pattison was amazing to watch. Not only is he beautiful, he is incredibly talented in his acting and musical abilities. Catherine Hardwicke did a great job directing~ she brought the book to life in a creative way and didn't lose any of the magic the story had. Kudos to the cast and crew. This Twilighter LOVED it!

Well, I was a bit disappointed in the movie. It got better as it progressed, but there are a few too many "cheesy" scenes. Especially the one when "Bella" enters the bio class room. VERY BAD. I don't think it was bad acting, but possibly questionable directing. Also, the stares that "Edward" had with some scenes were pretty bad as well. It was like the directors answer to every heightened emotion was, "wide eyes." It just didn't work. Not enough conveyed to the viewer.
If you are an avid Twilight fan, you have probably already seen the film. But if you haven't, wait until the lines die down, and maybe even until it gets to the cheap theater.
Although my ideas aren't what every twilight fan would agree with, but I am also not a teen.

Overall the movie was decient. There were of couse the odd moments that didn't seem to fit the characters very well. Some of the acting was a bit over done. And some of the added lines were definately not needed. It will be interesting to see New Moon if it comes out to see what they can do with that novel.

This was an incredible adaptation! There were some variations from the book, but anyone who had watched a few interviews saw that coming. What impressed me was the movie's ability to get to the heart of Twilight. The stunts/FXs were amazing, but not over played and the actors did an great job with each character. I think the most impressive thing was the sunlight scene. I was so afraid that they would over-CG it and it would be horrible, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The effect was subtle, yet stunning, and seemed real, it seemed possible. This was an movie, and a great experience. Now lets just hope that they do as good a job with New Moon

I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars. I loved the first Twilight book and thought that for the movie they stayed fairly true to the book. They also overdid the white makeup in some scenes. Made me laugh. Overall I loved the booked and like the movie very much! It just couldn't top the book. :-)

I think that it could have pretained more towards the book because a few important details were missed that would help some people for the connection to the next book or hopefully movie!!!! I was really disappointed in the movie. The story moved way to quickly compared to the book. I have read the series and absolutley LOVE them. I was very disappointed in the acting. I have read all four in the series to placate my sisters but I was not crazy about them. I still found the movie very entertaining, almost more of a comedy than a romance. I feel like they really did try to capture the essence of the books. I would tell just about anyone to see this movie- this is pop culture in the making, people! Just remember that you are going to see a melodramatic teen chick flick and it might just surprise you.
