I'm a 40 yr old woman and this was the 1st midnight opening show I have attended. It was excellent. I was concerned about the actors chosen for the parts, but they tagged it! I found it entertaining and very well adapted. Cannot wait for the next one, hope it is already in production!

I absolutely adored this movie!! I love the series and had high expectations going in and I was definitely not disappointed. Rob was the perfect Edward and no one could have played Bella like Kristen!!! There were so many parts where I laughed out loud and others that made me want to cry!! Do not miss this!

There are a few flaws in the movie making, low quality effects, some cheesy lines, however they are easily forgiven and forgotten, because the story and characters are well played. Remember, summit is fairly new and the budget given for the making of this movie was small. I do believe the movie plays up to private jokes that only a twilighter would understand, however, i took a few friends to see it who have not picked up the books and the overall opinion was suprisingly entertaining and not what was expected. I I think the cast, crew, and writers served up the best that they could with what they had and I honestly would see it again!

i swear that was THE best movie i have EVER seen. it keeps you on ur toes every minute of the movie, it makes you not want to get up to go to the bathroom or get another pop i mean you cont get up. now i am not a fan of long books like twilight but after seeing the movie i want to read the series 20 times ( thats how awsome the movie is.) so i advise you to go and see it asap!!!!!

I think the movie was absolutely amazing. I would recommend it. The only bad thing was the way it missed some parts of the book, and seemed to move fast. I felt like the movie wasnt long at all. But still, amazing.

Great movie....not your blood and guts Vampire movie. This movie has character, action, and comedy. Overall there was a great story line and the acting went along with the movie. The fight seen was a little short other than that.......Superb

im a huge twilight fan and i knew the movie wasnt going to be as amazing as the books but i thought it would at least be a bit better..
the movie was kinda low-budget so some of the acting was kinda lame, more like they were reading from cue-cards..

For starters, I obsess over most things vampirical. When I was given the first book, I read it in a day. I became such a fan that I bought the rest of the series and finished it within a week. I had a few problems with the film, though (predictably, poetic license and it's failings). Sometimes the acting was a bit hackneyed and overdone, but I expected that of novice actors. Despite all that, I still love the story, and would definitely recommend the film, simply because I can't get enough of the premise. Honestly, if anything, the movie made me more of a fan of the books-I'm going to re-read them for the 8th time! Go Team Edward! (btw, I now have a major older woman crush on Robert P. Love the song, and his voice is amazing.

Taking into account the fact that this was a pretty low budget film, I thought that they did a great job. I have never been a huge fan of Summit, but I feel that they followed the book fairly well, and that had they had more money, this would have been an even better film. Depending on how much money the movie actually makes, I'm sure that they will be putting much more effort into the second, third, and fourth one.

A group of us went to go see the midnight showing Thursday, and let me tell you, it was WELL worth the wait.
There definitely were a few things different from the book, but it still left you awe-struck.
A few complaints: Kristen Stewart as Bella, the Cullen house, and what was with that almost sex scene?! Why is she half naked?!
Final Thoughts:
When does New Moon come out?!
Bella is a hoe!

To a normal movie goer I would say to pass, unless you are a teenage girl who is going for Robert Pattinson alone. He has the looks to convince anyone to be a vampire. I did not go to the movie with high expectations because movies based on books are normally very disappointing. BUT-the obsessed
Twilighter will like it. I did - except for the excessive chatter among the crowd. I know the budget was tight on this one and it showed. Hopefully the sequels will be much improved.

I saw the movie twice already and I am also going again on Sunday. I thought it was really good. I am 34 years old and have been a Twilight fan for a while now. I loved the book and although at times in the movie I thought it was going to fast, I still enjoyed it. Rob Pattinson looked gorgeous in every scene he was in and I thought the cast did an amazing job. Looking forward to New Moon, Eclipse, and hopefully Breaking Dawn. I recommend everyone go see it.

Awesome movie. Obviously due to time restraints things from the book were left out, however the actors in the movie captured the deep feelings between the characters flawlessly. The effects were wonderful, the music was moving and well placed, and the scenery was beautiful. The addition of some of the action which was not in the book was helpful to keep the excitement level of the movie up. I hope they begin production on part two soon.

Twilight was a great movie. It had action,romance and surprising a lot of humor. I thought the director did a fantastic job bringing the book to the big screen. Even though it was only two hours, the movie kept pretty well in line with book. I thought the actors all did an excellent job portraying the characters.

True to story. Like the books, I left wanting more. Pace felt rushed. Details happened quickly and covered more than I realized - reason to see again.
The humor Pattinson brought - pleasantly unexpected! I didn't see it while reading/looking through Bella's eyes. More amusing as a third party. I always thought Stewart was a good call. She pulled off the breakable klutz, but some delivery seemed forced? Lautner as Jacob works…
Carlisle was a stronger patriarch than expected. First reaction = too much make-up. With more thought, it rightly distinguishes him visually as the eldest. Rosalie. Good. I loved to hate her! Charlie, Emmett, Esme, Billy, Alice well done! Where’s Jasper’s power? Villains different from the book, yet amazing!

If you're a fan of the novels, this movie is something you simply cannot pass over. If you've never read the novels, then try to keep an open mind: you won't get why they like each other so much. Without being in Bella's head constantly it's hard to understand how she falls so far so fast. It's an amazing movie for the budget and time restrictions. It's an amazing addition to the novels. Go see this movie.

If you read the book you've got to see the movie. I think people who may not have read the book won't enjoy it as much, but it's still worth seeing. My only complaint is that the special effects weren't great--for a low budget movie, it worked, but my expectations for the next Twilight movie in the series are going to be much higher. But the actors chosen for their roles were perfect and I think that's what really won me over.

from the begining, many fans were worried about the awkwardness and timing of some of the lines. we never had anything to worry about. Kristen was great as Bella, she portayed the confusion and devotion of Bella superbly and is a wonderful actress. Robert was perfect for Edward, he showed emotion, making it seem like he was trying hard to hide his feelings. Nikki is a fabulous Rosalie, being mean/rude to Bella, and hinting at the relationship that never existed between her and Edward beautifully. the other amazing actors could not have been better cast, all of them made their characters come to life, and make the viewers believe that they really are the characters we know and love, even the actors who play small parts like Angela and Mike.

It was a great movie.. sure it was missing some parts of what's in the book... but overall it was great.. it has set a great ground for hopefully a lot more twilight movies to come.. Edward is great and looks ridiculously handsome.. Good Job! and the role of Bella was also great. clumsy and distracted as she should be. Very good movie.. I highly recommend it!

Aww Twilight! Well, I must be honest and say that the movie really let me down. I had high hopes, hopes i might add, that were not too high. The book is an easy, simple read. One wonders why couldn't the movie have been just as simple and fluent as the book! For some reason the creators of the film decided to add unnecessary and inconsequential scenes while omitting key facts and significant material which greatly effect the plot of the overall story. In short, the potential was there for an outstanding movie and it was simply not ceased. But, I must say, I did like seeing how well they cast Bella's "friends" as well as Jake and Charlie. And if nothing less, it was pretty entertaining and loads of fun seeing Rob Pattinson for two hours.

I knew there was no way anyone could capture Edward because everyone has their own vision of what Edward is - perfect, which no one can be. Kristen Stewart is SO BELLA! Rob Pattinson portrayed Edward beautifully. He nailed the 'pained' expressions and you can tell he's fighting with himself continuously. If you didn't read the books, you don't understand why he acts the way he does and it comes off as overdramatically bad acting, which it isn't! The other Cullens weren't in the film much :( Everyone captured their character's mannerisms so well! Suffer through the iffy special effects & enjoy Edward for yourself!

I highly reccommend it to the book-lovers. However if you haven't read the book the movie may be confusing, there was alot of ground to cover and after trying to pack every thing into a 2hour limit .it seems to jump around quite a bit.

I have been waiting for this movie for a very long time like many others. Of course after reading the books it will never be as good, but it still had amazing parts to it. The story moved extremely fast and like with all books that are made into movies I didn't as much of an emotional connection. But Rob Pattinson was absolutely amazing as Edward, my favorite part by far!

First of all, I loved it! It was definatley more of a comedy than I thought it would be, but in a good way. The actors all did a tremendious job portraing their characters. I would recomend reading the book first, because you will understand things that you wouldn't otherwise but you don't have to read the book to enjoy the movie. The only thing I didn't like was the way the story progressed. It was almost too fast, but that's what happens when you have a time constraint :) So, in conclusion, it was great and I highly recomend you go see it!

The awesomeness of the book Twilight was FINALLY released in movie form and all I can say is.... THANK YOU!!! I thought the movie was great from start to finish. It could have been longer, but it never slowed down once it started. It was a constant ride of emotions and action. lol, and that sounded really cheesy right there!! sorry! :D lol ANYWAYS! For the die-hard book readers (of which I am one! WOOT!) the movie did a good job of staying close to the book. a few lines from the book itself were in the movie and it worked! of course, a few things were changed, but it stayed true to the heart of soul of Twilight. For those who don't know the books, you will love it anyways!!
