This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I read the book before seeing the movie and yes, they didn't incorporate every detail, but how can they, without making it an 8 hr movie? I went to see it with friends and my 13 year old daughter who had not read the book and they followed the plot and didn't have to ask me to explain anything. We all loved the movie so much that we have gone back to see it 2 additional times and plan to go back again. There are two things I am currently waiting for...One is for Twilight to come out on DVD and the second is for New Moon to come out in theaters. That's the only drawback that I can see..the movie is so good that you will have a hard time waiting for New Moon!!

I took my 10yr old to see this movie and he enjoyed it just as much as I did. It was pure unadulterated love at it's best. To have a desire for someone not based on lust but to protect even if from oneself. The graphics was wonderful. I can't wait until part 2 comes out.

My biggest problem with this movie is that it won't make sense to movie goers who have never read the books. Granted, I realize that it is trying to appeal to the fans of the series but that doesn't mean that newbies don't want to get in on the action either. I personally would have loved to be a fan of this movie but strictly speaking, it doesn't explain enough.

i loved this movie so much if only there was a guy really like that in the world. only the previews are a little creepy. but i thought that the movie was going to be a blow but as soon as i saw edward cullens i fell in love with the movie i can not belive how much i like. i have seen it 8 times and i still want to see it again.

its finally here! the movie was great and was romantic and funny as well. a must see for those familiar with the twilight series and also for those who are not. this is just a tease for me, cuz i am anxious to see new moon already!!! the actors are JUST as Stephenie Myers described. it wasnt a full adaptation of the book, but i didnt expect it cuz then it'd be a 13 hr movie! great movie! :^D

I LOVE this movie. I read all 4 books before I saw the movie and I was impressed at how close they kept the movie to the book. I was amazed. I can't wait to see New Moon and I hope there will be a 3rd and 4th movie to follow. The only thing I didn't like about the movie is it was too short and I think there could have been more romance scenes between Edward and Bella. Do not wait for video! GO see it! Even if you have to go by yourself. It's a great moive! You'll be glad you did.

I am a huge fan of the books. I was concerned that the movie would not do the books justice, but they did an excellent job! I was really pleased with the movie. The plot followed the book really well. The casting was great. The chemistry between Rob and Kristen was perfect. I recommend this movie to everyone!

I've never read the books and had no previous history of a storyline or anything like that. i thoroughly enjoyed this movie though. Quite possibly my new favorite. I saw "love story" and was expecting a chick flick... so not the case. It's written very well and never a boring moment. HIGHLY recommend seeing it.

Yes, I admit it, I have seen this movie 7 times and I will be seeing it one more. I cannot get ehough of this movie, the tensions and play back and forth between the main characters is wonderful and the chemestry is timeless. And then of course there is the . . . Kiss Scene!!! The best one ever. Truely a must see movie.

I'm a huge fan of the books like most of the world now and i already came to the conclusion that the movie couldn't come close to your own imagination when reading the book. The movie was actually a lot better then i thought it would be, but i felt like a lot of important scenes were skipped. I realize the movie can only be so long but Bella should've nararrated during more parts of the movie so there would be a better understanding of what was actually going on. Bella and Edward just seemed like obsessive teenagers instead of the "true soulmates" that are literally drawn to eachother in a bigger way. The movie was good but it could've been better.

okay, i have seen some bad movies, but this made twilight look terrible! however, the actors were great! kristen stewart and robert pattinson have great chemistry but the movie skipped so many important scenes. I understand how they needed to put a huge book into a two hour movie but they could have made it better! I sure hope new moon won't be as bad that's my favorite one!

Are you kidding me it's getting 4 stars? This movie was SO CHEESY. The characters do not do the book justice. Definately for teenagers. If it wasn't for going with a bunch of friends & laughing at the movie I would of been so disappointed. I would never buy this movie.

I'm glad I went to see the movie before reading the books! I've heard people say, "Oh, he's no Edward," etc...well, I now have a face to put with each character in the book, and I find each actor to fit the characters in the book very well. I loved the chemistry between Rob and Kristen, very touching! And Jasper, I don't think they could have found a better person to play him. A great love story for teens and adults. I never would have went to see it if it weren't for my teenage daughter. I've read the whole series since seeing the movie opening day. I'm hooked.

Okay,so I've heard alot of people say that this movie was not as good as they thought it'd be. I think its fabulous. It would have been soo hard to film this kinda movie, but they did great. And they were under so much pressure to live up to the books that everyones in love with. I love it when they make the introduction of characters, its wonderful! I love the books and this movie is the best! I'm not just saying that.:)

I throughly enjoyed the books (reading them in 6 days). I went to the midnight showing the night the movie came out and took myself the next morning to see it again. Rob and Kristen do a great job. Both are perfect for the parts. Did anyone notice Stephenie Meyer guest appearance in the diner? And something I picked up the 2nd time I saw it was while Edward and Bella walk through the crowd at the prom if you look past them into the the very back of crowd you can see that Victoria is at one of the roulette tables. All you can really see is the coat she wears.

This movie was such a great story. It is sort of a chick flick, but definitely worth the time. The special effects were awesome. The only annoying thing was the lack of conversational skills between the two main characters when they first met. It was almost like they had some stuttering problem. I really can't wait for this one to come out on DVD. I'm not sure I've ever felt that way about a movie before. :)

I am a ansolute fan of the books. I expected the movie to be a failure but it wasn't . There are things that could have gone better but it is still a overall good movie, whether you read the bookor not. You can tell that in the future people will be obssesing over this series like Harry Potter.

If you are an avid fan of the books you may be disappointed the movie barely resembles the book. A lot of the build-up between Bella and Edward is missing and key scenes are missing as well. I was hoping it would be like Harry Potter and follow the book to a T. I can't see how they can tie the next few movies together since they left out a lot of the details in this one. Yes, Rob is good looking but with the lack of dialogue it makes for a disappointing Edward.

The movie is the best because you can put faces to nmes. I was a little dissapointed when I saw it for the first time. because I read the book 24 hours before the movie release. I feel that more details needed to be in there. But it hasen't stopped me from seeing it 4 times. I love the movie now that I have seen it more than once. Rob(Edward) and Kristine(Bella) plsy the parts well but kristine needs to be a little more stuborne because of the book. But I have bought 8 tickets in the last two weeks and am planning on going to see it for the fith time with other friends. THE MOVIE IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!

twilight was such a good movie! i saw it the day it came out and LOVED IT! of course it was not as good as the book, but that is impossible because the book, and all of them in the series for that matter, was absolutely perfect! the characters play their parts very well, especially robert pattinson! twilight was wonderful! i've seen it three times already!!!! it gets better and better every time! everyone i know who has seen has loved it! i suggest reading the book first because you should make your own opinions about how everything and everyone should look so that you can fall in love with edward yourself (plus the book has even MORE detail and parts that weren't in the movie). overall i give the movie a 10 out of 10!

I gave the movie 5 stars, because I loved it! The actors and actresses did a very good job. Kristen and Robert were AMAZING! Even though all the parts from the book were not in the movie they pulled it off. The cast was very well choosen.
some of the things that they could have done better were:
-Jacobs wig looks really fake
-Carlisles makeup looked like it was plastered onto him
Thats about it which those few things are not that important.
I have seen the movie 3 times and am going to see it 3 more times! =]
Loved the movie

I think I expected too much out of the movie. after reading all four of the books in a 3 week period(i simply could not put them down.) I was expecting to at least stay awake during the movie. It was an okay movie but I think i just expected it to be AWESOME. In my opinion it could have been better. The books are absolutely amazing; the movie not so much.

Well, i can say that since i started reading Twilight i could not put the book down and read the entire series with in three weeks.
Romatic, action, different, clean, yet interesting. Teens and adults will enjoy it, specially those hopeless romatics.
A different kind of Vampires, elegance and yet counsious to respect humanity fighting their natural urge to feed upon humans. The romance that unfolds and the forbidden romance between Edward and Bella will keep you stuck to your seet.
