The Twilight book series is one of my favorite love stories. There are some differences between the book and the movie that I had to get used to, but it was still a very enjoyable movie that I would definitely see again. I do really wish that the movie was a longer so that it could have built up the characters and their relationships more to show just how strong some of the bonds between characters really grew to be. (Particularly I wished that they had shown more about how Bella and Alice were starting to grow really close.)

The first time I saw the movie, I hadn't read the book yet. I thought the movie was good but not super fantastic. As soon as I left the theater I purchased the book and read it in record time. As with any other book-turned-movie reading the book first will give you much more incite. Great great great movie! Funny and entertaining. I'm working on my fourth go-round at the theater.

Robert Pattinson was spot on , his humorous comments were wonderfully balanced by his moody, teenage angst. He was one of the elements that rang true. We weren't treated to a Bella to match this Edward. Kristen Stewart has one face and one emotion, squint eyed broodiness. There was no change in her expression from beginning to end. Poor Pattinson was acting the heck out of his Edward to have all of his energy sucked into the black hole void that was Kristen Stewart. Sadly, the rest of the cast get shoved into very small boxes and really serve more of a cameo rather than any real purpose. We can only hope that Stewart learns how to act before the sequel.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I absoulutely LOVE this movie. I've been a huge fan of the series and was very scared of seeing the movie thinking that it wouldn't be as good. The books are way better but I still thought the moview was great. The meadow scene was not near as good as it was in the book and some of the teenagers (Jessica, Mike, Eric, etc) were really corny. But that is stuff that I don't think was written good to begin with probably in the script. Overall, Edward and Bella were amazing and the chemistry between them was super intense. I can't wait for New Moon to come out next year and hopefully it will have a bigger budget so they can do even more with the movie to keep it as close to the book as possible.

What can I say? WOW. I loved this movie so much. The first time I watched it I was a little disappointed because it was different from the book. The thing is that we all knew it WOULDN'T be EXACTLY the same. Once I went to see it the second time- going in expecting nothing but a great movie based off of a book I love.... it was AMAZING and HELLA funny! I've seen it four times, and I don't know what I'm going to do in the time after the movie stops playing in theaters and before the movie comes out on dvd. This movie is the beginning of a forbidden love story between a sexy vampire boy and a reserved human girl. It has a happy ending and a mysterious future. Give it a chance- and it's sure to leave you gasping for more!

Twilight was amazing. The casting was perfect and the acting was very believable. It has a good balance of romance and action and the storyline is very nice. Although the movie was a bit rushed in comparison to the book, it was still really good. Plus, it was sopposed to an indie film. I think everyone should watch it.

I have never read the books. I knew absolutely nothing about this movie. It was the only one that sounded half-way decent to my husband and me, so we went. It was AMAZING! I would watch it over and over again!! I am already planning my next movie night! I'm now excited to start reading the books! I can't wait for the next movie! Fantatic! My husband even liked it! :)

Incredibly exciting in every scene of the movie. Not just the action pieces but the way the attraction between Edward and Bella was portrayed was so intense and it came across the screen so effectively. I also loved the subtle hints about Jacob. I heard that the studio didn't want to keep the actor who played Jacob for the second movie - but I thought he could carry the character of the romantic lead very effectively. Best movie I saw this year and I've seen a lot of them.

twilight was a very good movie, BUT the cute parts people fell in love with are not in it. they dont ease into falling in love its just instant! Emmett is what i pictured, except he has striaght not curly hair. Ashley Green was 100% how i pictured Alice.
Catherine Hardwick (director) hopes to get New Moon in theaters around December 2009 but since they have not STARTED FILMING, the movie might possibly be in theaters January 2010. Hardwick is getting in arguments with Stephine Meyers about how the movie should be and what parts SHOULD be in it. so only time will tell when New Moon will be in theaters. Sorry Twilight fans for the truth about releasing dates for New Moon.

I couldn't put the books down, I was so obsessed with them. When the movie came out I was so excited to see it. Clearly it's hard to put all those details of the book into the movie but I think Catherine Hardwicke really did the book justice. I would recommend everyone to see this movie and then you need to read the books if you haven't done so. I'm sorry to hear that Catherine will not be making the "New Moon" movie next year so the next director has some shoes to fill.

We chose this movie because of it's popularity. Some thought it would be just another teen "chick flick" . Much to our delight we found a movie that provided enjoyment for mulit-generational and by males and females. You leave "Twilight" wanting more which is always a good sign for any movie.

I really enjoyed the movie. I did read the entire series, and loved it. I only wish the movie had been done with a bigger budget. It definitely needed the better special effects and a smoother feel. The books read so fluidly, I was looking for more of that feel to the movie. I hope they can get more money for the sequel. I will definitely see it. I can't wait to see Twilight again, and I will buy the dvd as well for my daughter and I both.

My 15yr old Daughter and I went to see Twilight and have been 3 more times. Its By Far the Best Movie of All Times. I Have never seen such direction and connection with the cast and director. Words can never explain how much we loved this movie. My daughter read the books before the movie, I read them after,and we can not wait for New Moon!

I had read the books only a few days before opening day for the move, and I went to see it at midnight. I loved this movie so much, it follows the book very well and the actors did an amazing job. I have now seen the movie nine times and I am planning to go see it again. I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves romance, drama, and action. The themes in this movie are universal giving everyone something that they can relate to.

I thought the movie was great! I've seen it twice! At first I was not sure, but the movie grew on me and I thought it was done very well. This movie will leave you wanting more, it has vampires, a good hearted young girl who really doesn't seem to fit in anywhere that a lot of us girls out there could relate to, and a gorgeous tormented vampire romeo. Not to mention some really awesome visual effects, and a totally new perspective on vampire shivalry... and hints of awesome supernatural things to come... I had to go get the next book just to find out what happend next :)

Took 3 12-yr-olds (only 1 read the book) & other than "the kissing parts" they loved it. I read the books & feel the characters were spot on & the interpretation of the book excellent, even for non-fans. Well worth seeing.

This movie was awesome!!! My daughter and I will definitely buy the movie on DVD when it comes out. This movie is good at keeping you in suspense. We loved, the true love between Edward and Bella. It took nothing more than a kiss, to make that love concrete. I would recommend this show to anyone from teenagers to senior citizens. We all can enjoy a good love story. We can't wait to see the sequel, New Moon!!

Love the books- could not put them down- the movie was not evrything I wished it to be - but also knowing you cant cram all thoes beautiful pages into a 2 hour movie- the charachters were perfect- For Bella she seems a bit more serious then the book but did a great jobRobert /Edward Cullen was so enthralling he made me melt- the rest of his family members were just as I pictured them- Emmet- wow such a doll & can you can see the playfulness in him, Jasper's tormented eyes, Alice so bubbly- I cant wait for the next movie! They did an even more amazing job on the movie than I had imagined. I know that they couldn't include all the details from the book but they still managed to get all the important events and included some beautiful little tidbits. Everyone in our theater (opening night no less) quoted all the book lines, the scenes from the trailers, and sang along with all the songs (amazing sountrack BTW!). I can't wait to see New Moon, and I'm even more impatient to buy my copy once it comes out on DVD.
