As usual, the book was much better than the movie. Although, the movie was very thrilling. The movie changed several settings and left out things. They put scenes in the movie that were not in the book. I felt the changed scenes did not help, like Bella and Charlie did not eat out every night, Bella cooked. If felt that small item would not have added time to the movie and kept it truer to the story line. But all in all, I would recomend the movie.

I would consider the movie pretty good, it wasn't as awful as I expected. But in order to like the movie you had to have read the books first. Because the movie stuck to the books, and that is how it was good. But other on its own it probably seemed stupid. The directors made certain scenes funny by bad acting (whether or not it was intentional we will never know!). Overall I give it a B. Plus Bella and Edward had some very cute scenes together =]

This film is the best romanic horror movie EVER!!!!!! Edward and Bella are SOOOOOOOOO cute together!!!! Parts of the book that were interesting were not in the movie but other than that it was awesome.

Great movie. But the book is better. I wish there had been more character development for the Cullen family and Jacob. I wanted them to play a bigger role than they did in the movie. Otherwise, the movie was great and the soundtrack is amazing.

This movie didnt meet my expectations at all. They changed so many things when they could have just left them the same, and they went too fast. You dont feel the love between Edward and Bella as you do in the book. And they left out alot of nice scenes. I mean, its an okay movie, i know alot of people liked it, but mostly if they didnt read the book or havent finished it.
I felt like crying myself to sleep last night because of the disappointment. hehe. I hope they do better with New Moon.

Like most books turned movie, I enjoyed the book more but it was an A-mazing movie! They NAILED the Cullen family with how gorgeous they all are and all the details of the individuals. I was disappointed with a couple scenes that were changed from the book but all-in-all GREAT movie and I hope hope hope they will make more for the other books!

It had some really weird scene changes and some small gaps in the plot. However, it really didn't take away from the movie. All the actors were absolutely amazing in portraying their characters.

I am a 52 year old married mother of 1. i really enjoyed reading the Twilight series. I also have read every book Ann Rice ever wrote. between the two authors I like Rice's writing style better, however I have to say Meyer did pretty good for her first time out.
I really did love the Twilight movie. can't wait for the next one to come out.

I think the movie was good the only thing that I wish didn't happen was some of the changes in the story line, and the movie being so short. You would think a 2 hour movie will covered almost everything you read in the book, but they took away a lot of critical point of the story so it didn't really flow with the book itself. The only thing I didn't really like was the movie were so dark that it was difficult to see clearly and when Edward went out into the sun he didn't sparkled like your imagination when you read the book. I guess there were some disappointment with the movie, but like all movies made based on books you knew it'll turn out like this...

Having read the book, I found that the movie sacrificed a certain amount of the integrity that made it readable in order to become the quintessential "teen movie." In the books Bella was much less of a victim because she was able to save Edward emotionally, psychologically and humanely whereas he was merely able to save her physically. The film failed to mention this point, which I found not only too escapist for my liking, but which I also believe sets a very traditional model for the impressionable female teenage audience it is targeted at, completely disregarding any sense of modern feminism.

This was a low budget, horribly produced, horrible music, horrible acting. The book is great. This storyline was hard to follow even if you had read the book. DO NOT waste your money!! VERY disappointing! Not even good enough to be made for TV!!!

Good movie. Keep in mind that movies are rarely as good as the book. Which is the case here. But still a fun movie. I took my 11 year daughter and she loved it! It was great to see how the audience responded audibly during the movie. Cheering when Edward shows up on screen. I think I even heard a girl crying when she saw him!! There are some corny parts (you'll know when you see them). But if you read the book you won't be disappointed.

I guess the movie was what I expected. I loved the book, but if you haven't read the book, the movie will seem even cheesier than what it is - and it is full of cheese. The movie is rushed. You don't realize how they're in love, why they're in love, and why the thought of dying for the other would even enter their heads. Probably the target audience, tween and teen girls will love it, but I enjoyed the book, even though targeted at a younger audience and couldn't appreciate the movie. There is poor acting, the script is sub par, and all in all, it could have been so much better. I'm glad I saw it, but don't go into it expecting much, because you won't get it.

Not as good as the book. Movies never are. But overall I thought it was great! Didn't want to leave the theatre, wanted to sit through another showing! Robert Pattinson as Edward was incredible! Kristen Stewart was also very good. If you are a fan of the book a must see!

I went with 4 other ladies and only one of us had not read the book. She had no trouble following the story line. The rest of us felt is moved a little quick to really get a feel for each character and their place in the story. Bella & Edward were fantastic. James was just as evil as in the book. Favorite is still Alice. She was great. Cannot wait for the next movie. Most of us said we were going to go back and re-read all of them again.

This was a great book to turn into a movie. I didn't think i would like it as much as I did. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen even for one minute. I took my 9 yr old to see it also and he absolutely loved it. He is hard to get to watch a movie but he was excited. Must see movie of the year!

I am a currently on the 4th book of the twilight series and love them! However, I saw the movie last night (and I was really pumped about it) and it just didn't do justice for the books. The scenes were choppy and short, it didn't have a good flow at all...it just moved WAY too fast. Some of the key scenes were not played out like the book, and I didn't like that. I didn't feel the actors did a good job of getting the feelings of the characters on screen. You didn't really even get to know the characters before they jumped into other scene. Over all it was an ok movie, but had so much more potential than was protrayed on the screen.

I am far from a teenager and I have totally geeked out on the Twilight series. have the books, read them twice, now I may have to read them again. I thought the movie was very well done, casting excellent, kudos to Ms. Harwicke and the team for staying true to the book. locations were perfect. such a talented cast; there were a couple moments where Stewart & Pattinson just blew me away with the intensity of emotion they showed. the fx were great, especially the main fight sequence. will definitely see it again in the theatre if at all possible. once is not enough! and my husband says this is a chick flick, maybe so., but Edward Cullen is one of the best tortured hero's ever written. we will want more!

I was quite surprised by this movie. It was very different from the book, which was interesting. I would've liked to see more things from the book included but I really like the movie because of its individuality. The effects and graphics were awesome and I would reccomend this movie to other people.
However, I wish that it had gone a little slower, it was a very fast paced movie. But again I really enjoyed it and I can't wait for the sequels!

This movie was the overall best movie i've seen in a while!!
I've read all of the books, and yes the book was better, the movie did stick to the same concept! That was a good thing. It did skip over some of the details though. I think it couldve been a bit longer since it is a long book, but still a GREAT movie!
Everyone i know is seeing it and if they havent read the book yet they are buying it right now.
I cant wait until New Moon comes out in the upcoming years.

I guess the movie was good but it was not as great as the book because they changed a lot of it like the meadow scene, when Bella faints and the spring dance is taken out and that really bothered me. If you have not read the book I believe you will enjoy it more than if you have.

I really liked the movie. Edward was great! The movie moved too fast for as much content that was in the book. I feel they showed too much of Edward jumping from tree to tree which they only need one scene where he was running with Bella on his back. Also, I felt they need needed to keep the scene in the biology lab.
Over all for a low budget film and unknown actors, it was great!
