I absolutely loved the books, couldnt put them down. But I think that the movie was missing something. It didnt follow the book as well as I had hoped, and added stupid things that they could have cut and actually added something from the book. I dont think that they portrayed the love between bella and edward as well as they did in the book. Alittle disapointed but still waiting for the next movie.

well i definitely think that reading the book gives you a better sense of the story, but the movie really doesn't require it. it shows the sort of awkward chemistry between edward and bella. robert pattinson does a great job in this movie. he really took the character to the next level. the book talks about how hard it is for him to act normal. when he walks, talks, or tries to be intimate, you can really see it. i do think there were some important details left out of the movie, but if you havent read the book it shouldnt bother you. i think this is probably my favorite movie. that could be because of robert and the sensual vibe he gives off, but really, i like almost everything about the movie. i do think it's worth it. just try it.

I love this movie, I've seen twice and am about to see it again tonight. I've read the first 3 books and I am almost done with the 4th. They really stuck to the book and thats what I like about movies from books. I just hope that next ones stick to the book like the first

This is your classic case of girl meets boy, and boy wants to eat girl. Ok maybe not quite the classic story... If you are not familiar at all with the Twilight novels by Stephanie Meyer, I truly recommend you do read them, then you will be able to appreciate this movie so much more. The translation from novel to film went better than I expected. Other than a few change ups, it really stays true to the book. The casting is terrific and each actor captured the essence of the the character that they portrayed, from Jacobs innocence to Bella's surliness and Edwards pain trying to fight the urge to attack. This movie will leave you wanting more and to see it over and over! I can't wait for New Moon.

I agree with a lot of the other viewers who said it wasn't exactly the book but still very good. I liked the chemistry between these two characters and it's quirkyness throughout the movie. The opposition between Edward and Jacob Black & his dad was done in such a way that it was comical in some parts. I though that was pulled in rather well. I really liked their choice for Bella's dad Charlie, he seems right on with the character and does it very well. Rob Pattinson as Edward did really well, maybe even a little bit better than Kristen Stewart's Bella. The scenery in this movie is just awesome. They have some really picturesque shots of the town, Trees, etc. It was really breathtaking in some instances.

This movie is impossible to hate. the romance between Bella and Edward was amazing. i was a little dissapointed because it didnt at all compare to the book in anyway. i have seen it 3 times and it still surpises me everytime. it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I would recommend this movie. Although not everything that was in the book was in the movie, it did capture the book amazingly well. This movie is the most creative one I have seen in a long, long time. It portrayed young people much differently than all the typical movies of today's generation. I'm sick and tired of the stereo types and glad finally of this more realistic portrayel. So if your looking for something not done before, this is it. AWESOME STORY LINE AND VERY COHESIVE. THE BOOKS ARE SO WELL WRITTEN THESE MOVIES CANNOT GO WRONG.

Seen the movie several times & waited to post my views until now. I feel this could & should've followed the book closer. So much changed (how Bella met Jacob, the meadow scene) that I was left disappointed. And why the changes? Also, with special effects possible today, Edward in the sunlight could've been so much more outstanding. I also felt that the pace of it felt very rushed. No feeling of time passing. At one point he says he's been watching her sleep for the past couple of months but there aren't many other references to time. The movie could have stood to be about 1/2 hr longer & there could've been more details really packed into it then. I LOVE the books but was left feeling slighted by the movie. Just my 2 cents.

Yes I saw the midnight show. All the teenage girls cheering just when the lights dimmed. The cast is amazing the scenery everything was amazing. Yes they left out some things in the book but that is typical. Even my mom whose read all the books so far loved it shes seen it twice. I have seen it 4 times. And I am going again tonight with my mom. It is an amazing action fantasy love story mixed with reality. You will love this movie. It is great you will want to see it over and over again. :)

Simply put, if you are a Twilight series fan, this is a must-see film...no questions asked. If you are not a fan or simply have not picked up the series, then my advice is to see the movie first, then read the series...that's how it happened for me. When I first saw the film (as a non-fan), it really was great, and it inspired me to read the series. I read through all four books in less than 2 weeks, and have now seen the film four times and re-read books 1 & 2 twice. Definitely worth your time.

I loved the movie! However, I read the book in 4 days and thought it was much better than the movie. I would definatly reccomend going to see this great love story. It makes you want to have the kind of love that they have!! Also, READ THE BOOK!

I am a twilight BOOK fan. They cut out like 5 very important parts! If you havent read the book you may have found this good. No love happens as quickly as they do. It is supposed to e a drawn out process or at least longer than 3 minutes! It is basically I am a vampire your blood is adddictive, I love you. NOO! I overall was disapointed

My friend and I have seen this movie 5 times - we don't understand why - neither one of us has ever gone to see a movie move than once - it's as if something keeps drawing us back - I have read all the books thus far and can only hope that going forward all the movies will continue to hold true to the books

In this movie, Bella Swan is the girl everybody girl wants to be. She goes into a "new life" looking for nothing and comes out with a wonderful adventure. She meets Edward Cullen and his family and relizes shes in love with someone who is diffrent,just like she is. Everybody at her new school saw the clan as wierd people that are not ment to be friends with but Bella thinks diffrently. Its a wonderful love story that is followed by 3 bad vampires that want to kill Bella. Edward and his family do eveything possible to keep her safe. Its a wonderful story that is impossible to hate.

Excellent. Didn't believe the movie could do the book justice. Boy was I wrong. This is the first movie I have ever enjoyed AFTER reading the book. Excellent all around. I will go again (and I'm over 40). Hope Part 2 is in the making.

THE AWESOMEST&BEST MOVIE EVER-WHO COULD NOT LOVE IT?!All of the cast members are perfect for their character.I wanted to read the series but I thought I didn't have time.But after I saw the movie,I had to MAKE time!!I'm currently on the 3rd book,"Eclipse"&obsessed with the series/movie!The author[Stephanie Meyer]does so well of making you feel like you are the character & feeling what they are feeling.She is very succesful(not that others aren't), but she & the director have done a wonderful job with these books/movie and deserve alot of credit.My friend&I both went&saw it at the Showcase Cinemas in Mason the 1st day it came out&tonight,I'm going to see it with another friend!!I'd have saw it alot more if i had the chance:/ BEST MOVIE EVER!

The movie was good. It was not the book, but it had many key points. The chemistry between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson was great. The movie could've used more voice overs to decribe what Bella was thinking but the romance was good. Pattinson was every inch the vampire I envisioned in the book.
I wanted to see more touching between Bella and Edward- as it was in the book- showing how much it hurts him, how much he practiced being near her, kissing her... etc. How he dazzled her.
A good movie, great romance (better book as usual) but you have to think of it separately from the book or you could be disappointed.
But, you will still leave the theater hoping to meet Edward and begging to be bit!

I'm 15 so the movie was for people my age. I read all the books a million times and I was so excited that robert was going to be edward. Almost all the people cast didn't act or look like they should. The things that made the book great like Bella's and Edward's relationship wasn't really shown in the movie and so the movie wasn't that believable. I still can't get over how horrible Kristen Stewart was for the part of Bella, especially near the end when she's lying in the hospital bed and stutters for 5 minutes! I would recommend this to anyone who loves robert pattinson, but otherwise either wait until you can see it for free or don't see it at all.

i read the books several times and loved them. but the movie was not like the book in many ways. but overall it was very good. it kept my attention the entire time. robert pattinson & kellan lutz played the Cullen vampire boys very well. i seen it four times and dont regret them. it was a good way to spend my money. i am looking forward to seeing it again tomarrow.

I read the books many times so I could fill in the gaps that the movie left. To make a great Twilight movie it would have to have been a good 3 hours and the mainstream movie goer wouldn't bother with it. So, I am happy with it when I think of it as Twilight -the movie, separate from Twilight -the book brought to life.
Rob Pattison is Edward right down to the crooked smile!
I enjoyed it and will go again and buy the DVD which already contains footage from the trailers that was cut from the movie.
The director did put in a lot of small details for the true Twilighter, like a chess set, angel wings, wolf artwork, etc...It's like an eye-spy movie!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
