What I enjoyed the most about this X-Men film is the fact that I could finally put some pieces together about Logan. I really enjoyed the story and the acting of course. Hugh Jackman does such an awesome job as Wolverine. I also enjoyed Liev. This one is my new favorite tied with the last one. A must see for any sci-fi/action fan.

Saw this last night. I wasn't a fan before X-Men (the first movie), but I've been anxiously awaiting each new movie. Wolverine didn't disappoint and explained a few things that I didn't know (since I'm not a comic book reader).
It was a tad bewildering since Sabertooth was in the first X-men movie as a big hairy thing...then seeing Liev's version here (yes, I know it is a prequel). And the first X-men didn't remotely connect the two as brothers (of course, in their defense, Wolverine would have had the memory-loss issue in the first X-men).
I was hoping for more from Gambit too.
Anyway, hoping there will be another movie. Fingers crossed.

I had no high expectations for this film so went in there looking to be impressed. I was very pleased with the movie. It was very good. I thought it was about the same with the other x-men movies more or less. Not too long and a lot of action! Very enjoyable.

I had very high expectations for this movie, and it did just not deliver most of the time. It was interesting to see how Wolverine came about, but beyond that, it just didn't do that much for me. I wanted to see more exciting characters and more of them like in past movies. It seemed to have a darker tone as well, which I didn't like. It was okay to see once, but I would absolutely not need to see it again. If I didn't have such high expectations I probably would have thought it was a lot better hah!

Critics stink! Never pay attention to them.
This movie was very good, just like the X-men triology. If you are a Marvel Comics fan, you will love Wolverine, too. I'm glad they cleared a lot of things up that were mentioned in X-men. A few scenes were a bit lame, but majority of the movie kept my attention. Great graphics! Thumbs up!

pales in comparision to the summers other origins movie star trek, where the characters were intoduced and developed fully...this seem more like a 2hr preview, totally unfulfilling. falling some where near the bottom in the xmen series. Not a total waste though, the action seguences were entertaining and the free gifts raffled at the midnight showing had me on the edge of my seat! too bad once the movie ended i felt like i didnt have the winning ticket.

The focus is on wolverine and he is the main character however you do get a glimpse or two of other old time mutants such as gambit.
This movie could stand alone or with the other X-men movies, I think you could probably see this one first and then the X-men series and maybe have a better understanding of their background.
I do not want to say too much as I would hate to spoil the movie for anyone wanting to see it, I do recommend seeing this movie.
Not a chick flick but there is a few moments of compassion and tenderness, I say this for you guys talking your girl into seeing this movie, so yes, there is a love story of sorts to this movie.

If i didn't know anything about comic books I might have enjoyed this movie a little more. They completely ignored an already compelling, and written, Wolverine Origins story. He is one of the most famous characters in Marvel Comic's history for a reason. Why wouldn't hollywood want to just retell his story on screen?

The movie was fun but too much going on outside of the origins of Wolverine. This is what happens when you don't use the original directors from the first two X-Men movies. Many of the other characters were not accurate and the story line was quite weak. Just focusing on where he came from and the realtionship of him and Sabertooth would have been enough. Though I like it because of the action, the movie could have been much better. See it, but don't have high expectations.

Being an X-Men lover since I was a kid, I was looking forward to this movie. It was good but not the best. Hugh Jackman was excellent as Wolverine. But a couple of characters has be confused as to why there were choosen...Victor Creed as Sabertooth... perfect!! Sexy as all get out even for the bad guy! But Will.i.am as Wraith?? Not even close to being realistic and true to John Wraith. But over all I like it the movie.

Most people that are bashing this movie are comic book "fanboys" that are fanatical about how their hero is portrayed. Get over the fact that movie cater to an audience greater than that of the comic book collecting community.
Hugh Jackman is as good as ever and Liev Schreiber was amazing. Go into the movie understanding that this is kind of Wolverine "Lite" by comparison to the comic. There isn't a trail of dismembered/disemboweled bodies left behind him, but that's ok. You don't need that to have an entertaining envisioning of Marvel's most popular superhero. And so you know, I've been collecting comics for over 20 years and have been a Wolverine fan since his full issue first appearance in Incredible Hulk #181.

Regrettably, this movie did not meet my expectations. I really wish Bryan Singer would revisit the franchise. He could return a degree of believability and integrity to both the story lines and characters. The potentials' there - the cast in these movies are wonderful and the individual and collective stories are great. But the directing and editing of these films needs someone with a passion for it. The first two movies were fantastic. But it’s been nothing but thin plots and special effects ever since. You can’t rely on those things to make a movie. Good; yes – but, great? No.

After I watched this movie I wished someone would have shot me in the head with an adamantium bullet.
Marvel comic's most savage berserker badass kills roughly three people. He is truly a maniac.
Agent Zero: killed by fire in helicopter crash.
Helicopter pilot: (no mutant powers) killed by fire in helicopter crash.
Thomas Logan: Killed by eight year old wolverine,
favorite part : his famous line "I'm the best there is at what I do" in comics he said this right before someone was diced into little pieces. In the movie he says it to his girlfriend.

Not the best of the X-Men series, but definitely worth watching. Learning Wolverine's history was great fun and the to-the-death sibling rivalry was intense. Family values win out once again, as brotherly love and loyalty ultimately triumph (even if they can't stand each other most of the time!) when they join forces to overcome a greater evil.

Really enjoyed the movie. Tied up many of the Marvel origin story lines for Wolverine. Great storyline, special effects, and acting. Except for one major problem and a minor one.
The major problem is continuity. In the X-Men trilogies, Wolverine was "created" at Alkali lake, not so in Origins, but being a comic book fan I'm almost sort of use to that (it's called reconning by the way), but to the casual fan, probably not.
The second problem I had, was the casting of Taylor Kitsch as Remy LeBeau / Gambit. He didn't have the right look for the part, and he didn't even come close to coming off as Cajun. On a similar note, I thought the Blob character was just a little off as well.

From someone who did read the comics they did pretty good. Great casting of main characters. And of course plenty of leads for future installments. These story lines were always more complex then the old school superheros i.e. superman and batman so its understandable that newbies find it harder to follow. The screen version is always different from the original print but the didn't mangle it beyond recognition.

I'm not a Marvel comic book fanatic, so maybe that accounts for my slightly less than stellar review. I found the storyline to be all over the place; could have done without the opening scenes where they explain the relationship between Logan and Victor; I'm pretty sure my son didn't follow it, and it didn't make a difference in the movie. Could have also done without the girl being "killed", not really being dead, and then killed again. Will.i.am's character was a waste. I think the acting was very good, and the action kept me awake. Hugh Jackman was definitely eye candy. Overall I enjoyed it, but was not blown away.

The movie did a great job of explaining the mysteries of Wolverine and tying the storyline together. I never read the comic books so it was insightful. Hugh Jackman was superb as always...but loved Liev Schreiber as his brother! I hope to see more Xmen Origins in the future.

The movie fills in a lot of the early history of Wolverine and his family. The script’s time periods suggest the brothers are centuries old. I don't remember reading that information in the comics (sorry Stan I was more of a Shell Head/ Fantastic 4 groupie).

From a purist of the comic strips I have read Marvel and DC since 1960 I am not familiar with the beginning history of Logan and his brother. Given the great script, action and actors I'll buy the history as real.
