This movie was definitely entertaining and it did have its cheesy moments, but what comic film doesn't, right? I would say you should be familiar with the mutants powers/history because those who do not, will find themselves asking many questions for each character throughout some of the film. Wolverine is amazing and Hugh Jackman will not disappoint you. No matter how you view it, I will always love the X-Men and it is by far the best of all the comic series ever created. This film provided some exciting glimpses as to where they will go with the next film. Acting was good as well. Oh, and stay for the end of the credits.

Honestly, it wasn't a surprise to see how, again, they would butcher another X Men movie. Characters poorly introduced and not even accurate to their comic book counter parts (ability wise). Understandable how you just want to get the story across, but they jumped over so many details just to get to the end. Next time, do the Marvel Universe some justice.

This movie was very good, however, if you are a big Wolverine or X-Men fan and read the comics, then you will be disappointed. The movie seems to pull from numerous sources, but never settling on one particular comic series. The don't develop some of the characters, which is also disappointing. It is a good film, but beware if you are a big fan.

I thought that X-Men Origins: Wolverine was pretty awesome and I'm glad that I went and saw it on the big screen. I think that Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber did a fantastic job, my only complaint would be that I thought that Ryan Reynolds was going to be in the story more. Overall the movie was worth the hype and wait and I would definitely see it again.

Wolverine was a good example of an action flick to me. The action was excellent: it was entertaining, engaging, and didn't exceed itself. Wolverine's movie origin and the comic origin should not be confused. The comic book version of the story works for a comic book, but the way they pulled off the whole story in under two hours worked, and it worked well. None of it seemed rushed and the action always had a reason, and a good one. Nothing was just mindless fighting.
Some of the special effects didn't match up in the footage, although, to me it wasn't distracting from the story. The acting seemed excellent and the score was excellent.
I say bravo, Wolverine!

AWESOME Movie. Go see it......Me and my boyfriend had my Mom purchase tickets online so when we got off work and changed we didn't have to worry whether we would be able to buy tickets for the 12:01 am showing. The tickets were waiting on us even though we got there early enough to get a good place in line. This is the best of the X-Men movies.

Going in to the midnight premiere with very high expectations, I actually came out of the theater slightly disappointed. The storyline in the movie was good as was the acting, but some of the CGI in the movie was quite atrocious and that was very disappointing. Plus, as stated, everything was fairly good, but nothing was awesome. Definitely not on par with Iron Man or Dark Knight.

One of the best X-Men movies so far - an interesting story and definitely action-packed. It really holds your interest. It's not any more outstanding than your typical action movie, but if that's your thing, you'll probably enjoy this.

This puts some sense into how X-Men came together! This movie was great and there was always action.
Personally, it kept me at the edge of my seat. All the actors and actresses did well with their parts. The plot made sense.
Great movie, although Stan Lee doesn't make a cameo (or at least I didn't see him).

Finally, after three previous attempts that needed to be tied to a prequel, they get things right, or mostly right anyway. The movie gives the backstory of Logan/Wolverine an excellent treatment, even if I have some minor quibbles with the way some things happen. Hugh Jackman IS Wolverine, and in many instances during the movie he looks EXACTLY like the comic book. Liev Schreiber does a great job as do the rest of the actors cast as mutants in the movie. My favorite, however, has to be Taylor Kitsch as Gambit. I waited forever to see him brought to life in film, and I was not disappointed. Go see it, you won't be disappointed. And stay until the end of the credits!

X-Men Orgins: Wolverine was, without question, a complete butchering of a great story. Like its three predecessors it takes the basic idea of a bunch of the main characters and story lines and completely perverts them. To be fair, if you know nothing about the comics, or don't care if they aren't faithful to them then you may like this film. However, if you are a true fan of the x-men comics don't waste your money, unless of course you like paying $9.00 to get REALLY upset.

-Probably the best of the X-Men franchise, but definitely not on par with Iron Man or The Dark knight...
-Reasons to see this:
1. Great comic action.
2. All of your friends will have seen it.
3. Wolverine is easily the most dynamic character of the X-Men, making his creation enthralling.
-Reasons NOT to see this:
1. Dialogue sometimes cheezy (Think: comic books. Comic book dialogue and screams of "NOOOOOO!" usually come across better in print...)
2. Multiple uses of the words "Sh!+" and "GD". Parents beware.
3. You haven't seen other X-Men movies. You need to already be familiar with everyone's mutant powers before the movie starts...

I felt that the director did a decent job telling a complicated story. However, I also believe characters like Gambit and Deadpool should have had more screen time. Especially, with Ryan Reynolds playing Wade. What a great casting call to only have 2 minutes in the film. All in all, I thought the movie could have been more in touch with Wolverines savage side via Punisher:Warzone. In the comics Sabertooth violates and kills Wolverines woman. That's more than enough to make someone "become the animal". While there are some changes I would have made in the movie I still enjoyed it. Anytime I get to see the ole' canuck let the metal meet the flesh on the big screen is super fine by me.

Don't expect this to be a comic book. It's not. Don't expect it to adhere strictly to the source material. It won't.
Set those two things aside and watch this movie. Then watch it again. Then again.
Then tell your friends why taking a sword to your ex's wedding is memorable.
This movie rocks. It achieved everything it set out to do, and set the plotlines and possibilities for spinoffs. I want GAMBIT AND DEADPOOL IN THEIR OWN MOVIES NOW.
Also, to the person that decided Deadpool should have his mouth sewn shut and Cyclops' concussive eye beam:
Herpes. I want you to have herpes.
Thanks, Marvel. You brought this where it should have been and delivered. I would walk until my feet bled and keep walking to see this again. See you then.

I'm typically a fan of the recently developed Superhero/Comic Book movie genre. I was really excited to see this movie, but left it at the end feeling disappointed. How'd Wolverine get the name Logan, I thought his names was James/Jimmy? Why didn't Gambit have a Cajun accent? Sure, he was in New Orleans, but the character is not the same without the accent. The ending also left a bit to be desired. From what I remember, Dead Poo. couldn't do EVERYTHING that they were having him do.
I'm afraid that the directors of the X-Men movies are taking artistic liberties which ultimately deviate too much from the original plot. Such is the case with X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Some die-hard fans will probably be upset with the changes they made to the storyline and a few of the characters, but overall this movie was a fun ride. Lots of action, a few good laughs, and the time went by very quickly. Left me wanting more -- kudos.

This movie does not disappoint. Yes, some of the other characters come in and then disappear, but let's remember what the name of this movie is: Origins: Wolverine. So, as it's title implies, the movie is about how Wolverine came to be. Loved the action, loved the story and even true comic book fans will like it. The best part: You don't have to be a die-hard fan of the comics to enjoy it.

I will admit that I am not a huge comic book nor comic book to movie fan (it was the last spiderman that ruined it). however, this changed my view. I went to see this one based on the fact that Hugh Jackman is a very good looking man. I was surprised to see that this movie had depth to its plot, making it easier for someone like me to truly enjoy it. it wasn't all fighting and shooting. there was real emotion and loss that made it a better movie for me. I even cried a little. all in all, I really liked this movie.

Gave up hope of the true story emerging intact during the open-credits montage of Wolvie and Sabertooth, BIOLOGICAL BROTHERS, fighting side by side in every U.S. war. Story discrepancies aside, this movie SHOULD HAVE BEEN GOOD--I've seen hero films done well! (Iron Man & X2) Bad dialogue, contrived cameos, disastrous movie adaptation DESPITE the mutilation of the original story. And a pop singer cameo? Really? What's next, Fergie in Iron Man II? And GOD the MIND-NUMBING unoriginality! Hero ignites gasoline trail, turns, walks away in slow-mo as vehicle explodes behind him. Hero clutches dying girlfriend, screams NOO! into sky, camera pans out. Hero points weapon at villain, but doesnt take kill shot because he's a softy inside. PLEASE!

When the title sequence is best part of an entire film, you know you've wasted ten dollars. Let's just say it all goes down hill from there. Bad action cliches, bad story cliches, weak dialogue, and characters that have no business showing up, Wolverine never comes close to achieving the potential of its story or its character. You can't blame Hugh Jackman, who was born to be the Hollywood version of Logan. It's a shame that Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth is stuck in this movie. He could have done wonders in good movie.

I'm slightly disappointed with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The movie itself was decent, but it was NOTHING like the comics. Their interpretation of Deadpool was laughable. The extremely short reference to the actual Origin series at the beginning was way off. Will-I-Am is a horrific actor...(never cast a rapper in movies). Also...back to Deadpool...why not set up a Deadpool solo movie?...he's a great character and Ryan Reynolds played him well...but the interpretation of Deadpool at the end is near blasphemy. Overall...if you're a comic fan...I don't think you'll like this....if you don't read the comics...you'll probably love it.

Great movie. Has the violent element that made Dark Knight spine chilling. Had a way if tying in all the parts from the first 3 Xmen movies.
