As a movie fan I was pleased with the overall experience. The effects were awesome and in my opinion it will always be worth the money to see Wolverine pop his claws. I was not crazy about the introduction of so many new characters. There are too many to do any of them justice. The story also felt a little rushed and weak. Even with too many characters and a less than stellar plot this is a great way to kick off the summer movie season.
That is me as a movie fan, as a comic fan who has followed X-Men and Wolverine since I first watched the Uncanny X-Men cartoon as a kid, what the #$$%! I am not even going to get into it!

At least it wasn't as bad as X-Men 3. Not a sterling review by any means, but it could have been worse.
The movie moves at a sluggish pace of exposition, followed by an explosion, follwed by more exposition, and then a fight ... so on until the end. The cast was fine - sometimes delightful. Schrieber as Sabertooth was rad. Gambit was fun. And Jackman did just fine as Wolverine (again).
But the story was just not involved. It trudged through predictability with no sense of originality.
So it was ... alright. I'd do a matinee.

I can identify exactly where this movie turned sour for me. Despite some questionable changes to canon story information, it's actually pretty solid up until the last 20-25 minutes. Then, it not only creates some serious deus ex machina plot devices, but ruin what could have been one of the best characters in the movie.
Still, it's OK I guess. Not awful, but certainly not as good as it could have and should have been.

X-men Origins Wolverine is probably the biggest waste of time I have ever had the mistake to see. And the problem is Hugh Jackman is a big wuss and not the badass that is Wolverine. If your a fan of X-Men and enjoy good action films, skip this piece of trash and find something better.

Went to the midnight showing and well worth staying up. The action and plot were good, it brought the own storyline together. Recommend you stay after credits for a little surprise! Will see it again....

Very entertaining! Hugh looked hot as always. Action scenes were spectacular. Ryan Reynolds did an incredible job. All actors were good. Graphics were beautiful and realistic. I LOVED IT!! I AM GOING TO WATCH IT AGAIN SATURDAY WITH FRIENDS!!

The Wolverine character was finally done right.. very similar to the comics. Lots of action to keep your interest.
They took some liberties with certain characters and storylines but I didn't mind that too much. I was mainly concerned they'd make Wolverine into the wimp he was in X1 - X3..
Great fight scenes, good special effects. Saw it at midnight and didn't get sleepy or bored at all.

Well, It wasn't as bad as I expected. Not as good as I'd hoped. At least it was better than X-Men 3. *shrug*
There was some cheesy stuff, and the continuity wasn't so smooth. It jumped from scene to scene without much organic flow, which was probably necessary to avoid turning it into 2 films. Sadly the story could have used a bit more depth.
I loved the Marvel Comics Presents version of Weapon X which would have made a good movie on it's own.
Overall, however, the movie was fun. The action presented way exceeded my expectations and was still a good story.
Hugh Jackman, I'm always impressed at how great he fits the character.

i thought it was really good. I being a girl especially loved the nude scenes with Hugh jackman. I loved the story line between Logan an his brother. The fight scenes were realyl good. I liked the surprise that ryan reyonalds character was the new weapon at the end. He looked very creepy!! it was an awesome movie overall

I wanted this movie to be awesome, and for the first hour, I was impressed. Great action, Hugh Jackman being awesome, great to see Deadpool especially. Then it all went downhill with the outrageously convoluted conspiracy plot. My biggest problem was why didn't the makers of this film think that Deadpool was cool enough already? Swords in his arms? How does he bend his arms when they're not out? And what good is the merc with a mouth if his mouth is sewn shut? I was very disappointed that they ruined the character that was one of the main reasons I saw this movie.

All-in-all an amazing film. Not only was the action and fights amazing. But the Acting, Special Effects, and everything else was phenomenal.
Yes they took some liberties with the story and the characters Origins but everything works out.
Stay for after the Credits

I enjoyed the movie - I really love a good superhero movie. I have to detach my love and knowledge of the comic books to enjoy ANY of the x-men movies, since they messed up alot of story lines from the get go.
The acting was pretty good but the story could have been better.
All in all, I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoyed the other x-men movies.

Another great action and effects movie worth seeing on the big screen. The plot is predictable and follows the same old super hero script but it's a super hero movie so what do you expect? The acting is good and there's enough humor to make the parts between the next fight watchable.

This movie was a steaming heap of garbage. The CG looked like it was done by high school students, the acting was as anemic as the plot line, and they turned Gambit into a dirty, sleazy, bum. The movie started okay, but your are then treated to an hour and a half of Hugh Jackman running around and showing off his muscles, or him just screaming into the camera. As for the story, if they aren't fabricating storyline, they are coming up with some ridiculous deus ex machina. Please please please, save your money. This film is not worth the ticket price.

I come into the comic book franchise movies with an open mind. Not as a Marvel or Wolverine fanboy and Not with the expectation that I'm watching a movie about a comic book character. With that said, It's a good movie. Solid action, good character development and a decent story. There were some definite holes in the story, which left me guessing at a lot of things, and there were some times where the movie just felt "cheesy". It does deliver in making me look forward to future "Origins" adaptations to help me better understand the characters that I have come to love on the big screen... as well as some new faces (Gambit/Deadpool) that I am looking forward to learning more about.

I would defiantly say that this has to be the best X-Men movie as of yet. The wait was worth it. Each actor fir their roles perfectly. Although I would have to say certain characters got gipped in the movie. If you get the chance see this movie. Also like in X3 they have an extra scene after the credits.

After the flop that was X-Men 3, Wolverine is definitely a step up. This movie had it all: action, stunning cinematography, eye-candy, fan girl service, first class actors, and breathtaking fighting scenes. I'd say Wolverine opened up the summer blockbuster scene with a bang. Of course there are many who say that the ending wasn't good or there wasn't a complete conclusion...but you have to keep in mind this is the beginning (hence X-Men ORIGINS). You can't conclude a story that hasn't been completed yet. Waiting until midnight to watch it and avoiding the spoilers/leaks was most def worth the wait.

I loved the fight scenes. I went to watch it at midnight and there was no way I was falling asleep during this one. Almost every minute was drenched with action. Wolverine was true to character and Deadpool was a badass. Go see it and keep an eye out for the scene where wolverine and his lady are in the car driving. To me this was the cheesiest looking part of the whole movie.

I was entertained. The effects were brilliant and had some cool camera effects and shots.
However, the storyline didn't know what it wanted to do! It started out as a brother thing, then turned into a love story then got sidetracked involving other familiar characters. Hugh Jackman and Liev Shrieber were well-balanced, but Stryker was a weak antagonist.
It tried to tell too many stories in one movie and failed. My husband HATED it, but I had a good time.

I know the "die hard" comic book fans are complaining but I love this movie! I thought it was action packed and the special effects were terrific! I do wish it would have been longer b/c it felt rushed at times but I'd definately see it again. Hugh Jackman is off the charts!!!

While I admittedly watched this movie to see Gambit (No bashing please), and was disappointed at the lack of screen time, the movie is still worth watching. I agree that Deadpool/Wade should have gotten more screen time as well. The plotline is a little predictable but it still has its moments. All in all, I'd probably see it again, but I'd wait until it was out on DVD for a second watch.

I may not be an expert on the X-Men comic books, however I know what I like when I go to the movies. I loved this movie. I laughed and was never bored. I actually yelled at the screen when they killed two people. Where did that come from. Enjoy this movie for what it is, entertainment. Not to mention nice views if Hughs awesome body. Yea I am a woman who appreciates a nice view.
