I thought that "Origins" was great action movie. It focus' on the weaponx program and Logans revenge on Victor and Stryker, but not alot on the extensve backgrnd of Wolvrine and therefore somewhat misleading for viewers. I personaly thought that it rushed through the beginning of Logan's and Victor's lives too fast, (enough to make a separate movie about) . Nonetheless, "origins" is action packd and lives up to wolverine standards. The 2 things that really stood out negatively is the mediocre script and how they tried to fit Wolverines 150 yrs of Origins into 1hr 47min. Its still an intriguing story, you get to see several long awaited appearances of other mutants, good humor(thx to wade wilson) and it's got plenty of kickin *ss. Go see it!

This movie was an average one for me. There were scenes that were done very well and contributed a lot to the main storyline and flow of the movie. However, some scenes (wolverine's encounter with gambit for example) were very animated. I wasnt sure if i was watching a live action film or something that rolled off of pixar's shelf. Overall the movie's plot and flow were well done.

This movie has a great storyline. It really taps into Wolverines character and the viewers are able to see a different side of him.
Liev Schrieber couldnt be any better as sabretooth and Ryan Reynolds really surprised me in this action role.
My only dissappointment was that there were very few scenes with gambit and so far he is yet to be part of the Xmen.

First of all let me start out by saying that the rumors of an awesome and revealing nude scene with Hugh Jackman were greatly exaggerated. Couldn't the camera have lingered just a bit longer? We sure got to see enough of that blue man's tube in The Watchman.
On a more serious note I would have to say that Jackman has no chemistry with his love interest or his nemesis Sabretooth. His conflict with this character seems really contrived.

I have been so hopeful for the Marvel Universe Movies ever since the studio went slightly independent. IRON MAN was a fantastic result of that, and The (Edward Norton Version of ) Incredible HULK was pretty good too.. This movie did not disappoint me either. It is 15x better than any X-Men Movie was 5 years ago or so..and I really loved it.
It'sa character building piece.. it was put together so well. Sequences with Gambit are great and fight scenes are interesting. The CG Rendering was petty good if not great and the storyline left alot to want to go back for more!
Definitely recommend checking it out. I give it 4 stars because it really is just a piece of a bigger film.. but we shall see the rest soon. Looking forward to it!

This was much better than i thought it would be. The villans were cruel, the fighting was brutal and there was enough of a story to hold it together. Gambit and Cyclops appear to have been pasted into the story to add more special effects, but they didn't detract from the story too much. Jackman was fantastic and his girlfriend was great too. Several surprises at the end were a bonus. Exceeded expectations.

The movie did have better development than the previous x-men movies. However, it still needed some more work! The ending seemed a bit rushed. I felt the movie could have easily been longer and given us more of an ending worthy of a standing ovation. One of the the key elements was the other mutants that are depicted in the previews which are not given much of a air time at all which was very disappointing. Hugh Jackman did well in his role as did Liev Schreiber. It is worth watching and there is plenty of action.

I went in not knowing what to expect. Hoping it was not as predictable as Star Wars Episodes 1-3. But this movie exceeded my expectations Great background on many gaps in the series of X-men Movies. Had enough twists and great action scenes to keep me entertained.

This movie was good for what it was. It was a character building piece. It was meant to give you a look at the background of one of the greatest, and most identifiable X-Men... Wolverine. The action scenes weren't bad and graphics were close enough to believable.
All in All it was a good movie worth seeing. I just hope that they follow through with the possible sequel they put in your heads at the end.

I've been waiting on Wolverine movie for many years now. Although I am an avid fan of the feral version of wolverine in the comics I will take what I can get. There was some large phased of WV's life that I would have liked placed in the movie, but as movies go it is its on universe and subject to be reviewed as such. Taking that in mind, it was a great movie. Excellent timing and well acted. I'd definitely recommend it.

Of course it wasn't really comically accurate, but it's a good action film with lots of explosions and average-to-awesome special effects. It had some interesting twists and I really enjoyed the characters. When there's a large group of mutants, it's fun to see how many of them you know even when they never say their names. All in all it's a fun, entertaining movie that anyone could watch and still enjoy, even if they've never read an X-Men comic or seen any of the other movies.

I will have to admit, I never WAS super thrilled about seeing this movie. The previews made it look cool (and accurate for the most part), but I knew that that was just a marketing ploy. And I was right, unfortunately. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is nothing more than a garbled mess of pointless "action" sequences that REALLY aren't that impressive in ANY way. This film has no plot to speak of, the acting is terrible, and even the action and the special effects are nothing more than sub-par! It is a patchwork of dumb action scenes that are SUPPOSED to culminate into one movie, but fail immensely.

I love the way they did the origins movie. It was a little fast paced but it was still amazing. Had the perfect cast for each character. Can't wait to see what they do with deadpool.

By far the best X-Men movie to come out. Period! But I did not like the movie. I think Hugh Jackman makes a great Wolverine and would like to see him in a GOOD X-Men movie. Special effects where very good. Story needed work. Especially the fact that they had to kill him, after the fact, they made him undestructable!! So i had issues but doesn't mean you will :)

This was only slightly better than the last x men movie. The action was decent though mainly special effects and Hugh jackman flexing with his claws. The story had good elements to it though characters were not very developed and acting was poor to fair throughout the entire movie. I dont know why movie makers are letting movies like this hit the screen it could have very easily been so much better.

I wasnt really lookin forward to watching this movie but boy am i glad i did! it fills in a lot of gaps that you wonder about from the other xmen movies.the action is great the actors are great...overall story line very well put together. def a MUST SEE!

I've always been a fan of Marvel comics; not the biggest geek but moderately devoted. So when a comic book movie takes liberties with the plot I usually let it pass but this Wolverine flick went too far! Wolverine and Sabertooth brothers?!?! No. Deadpool as Weapon XI?!?! NO! Totally break from the comics!! And where was the 'REAL' animal from Wolverine that we were suppose to experience? The 1st half of the movie was was better than the latter and the movie as a whole was paced well. Good popcorn flick but forgettable.

TERRIFIC, just like the cartoons & comic book. I loved all the characters, they all looked exactly like the cartoon characters. Awesome movie, I loved Gambit & his accent perfect just like the cartoons. (The way it's suppose to be). I'm definitely going again & again to see it. Hugh Jackman was spectacular in all the X-men movies. I always love seeing him, he's the one that brings action to the movie. Put Jubilee! & Rogue needs to really get her accent & Gambit and Rogue are suppose to fall in love, and Logan & Rogue are like brother & sister, & Jean & Logan intensively care about each other, & Logan & Gambit are good friends.GET WITH THE PROGRAM DIRECTORS & PRODUCERS, Do it right or DON"T do it at all. This movie was overall MAGNIFICENT.

This movie was excellent. It was exciting, fast paced, and packed with action. The movie had surprises and it remained true to the X-men movies before it. The explanation given about Wolverine's creation was just like the scenes we have seen in previous flashes of the other X-men movies. It was just great. I will see it at least three more times really soon.

Although it stepped away form the original story a bit, I understand that the movie universe is different from the comic universe, as is also seen in the different titled comic books. As a fan of Wolverine, and the Weapon X motif, from childhood, I would say that I was impressed with the play out on screen. My wife and I talked about it all the way home.

We took a big group (ages 13-60) to the midnight show and everyone had a great time. Loved Sabertooth! Jackman is Wolverine!

This is an excellent adaptation of the Wolverine storyline, but with some major flaws. I also went to a midnight show, where there was cheering for a great storyline, great action and good writing for about half the film. But the ending went over the top (perhaps jumped the shark) and the crowd was clearly less enthusiastic when it was over. Some of the changes to the source material at the end of the fim make the it seem childish and more of a "comic book" story. It's a very good move, but I have to agree with others that it could have been much better.

The only good in this movie was the action, it was to slow @ times and barely followed the real story line. The director just added characters he liked to tell his story. This movie was made for regular moviegoers because they know hardcore fans or/and comic book fan will come to see it anyway. So its gonna make money regardless which is a shame because it means there going to keep making the same type of trash. Hopefully the magneto movie is better.

Hugh Jackman was great. It must have been a dificult movie for him to make if he did most of his own stunts because it was so physical. Good character developement for both him and his brother. I figured his girlfriend was coming back, but quite a cliched return. I like the protection of the young mutants, and how it sets up the movies that came before it. I think the depiction of the government's need for the latest and greatest weapon was well done. It seems there is always someone in government that has their own agenda, and will sell their soul to get it accomplished.
P.S. I wonder how long it took Jackman to get into that incredible kind of physical shape. Kudos to him.

hugh jackman is great in his role but there should've been more screen time for gambit!!! i can see many people wanted more action, and i agree, but this movie gave us a pre-wolverine logan who shows more emotion and less of the animal at times. overall, if ur a fan go see it, and if ur not a fan still go see it, some good effects here and there.
ps. i wish dead pool would've looked like the comic book deadpool!

Saw the midnight show Thursday night with my college age daughter. It was very well written and answered a lot of questions about Wolverine one of the hottest characters in movies. Hugh Jackman is delicious in this film. It starts in his childhood and explains a lot about the origins of Xmen. Loved it. Will probably see it again.

Im not a big fan of the series but thought the other movies were ok. This movie is very boring and like most movies today lacks a decent story line, good acting and the film work is questionable at best. While watching this movie I couldn't help but think that we as viewers have allowed movie makers to get away with this type of garbage for so long they now think its acceptable. Why shouldnt they, we all line up at 11:59pm and pack the theatres in a desperate attempt to be entertained. IMHO.
