Frankly when I wasn't bored during this movie I was just marveling at how stupid it was. The plot has several MAJOR holes, and is very repetitive. How many times do we need to watch Wolverine come "this close" to killing people, only to get control of himself and stop, before we get the point?
Whoever did the CGI in this film should be fired. You can see the claws wiggling around on Wolverine's hands, and some of the green screening is not color corrected and looks like something done in the 80s. The lighting and cinematography are also amateurish, at best. In fact the only good thing about this film is the acting, but it's sad to watch so many good actors striving so hard to breathe life into a bad script.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I was expecting to be totally disappointed with this film but I actually found it enjoyable. Although much of the storyline was predictable, and no real plot twists or surprises, it was pretty action packed.

I'll agree with some of the hardcore fans out here, its a good movie but if you follow the comics to the T, its not that great. Overall I give it a B, as with most movie adaptations these days, they changes things enough to make them not follow the originals just so no one gets sued.

I'm not an afficiado of the comic strip but have seen the other three Xmen movies. This one...was bland in terms of plot. The whole story could have been wrapped up in 30 min. Yes, the special effects were cool and I understand the need for some violence but there was a LOT of gratuitous violence that meant nothing to the story. And the ending picking up the villian? Why?
I'm a HUGE Hugh Jackman fan but the story could have been told better.

Overall I thought the movie was good... not as big as disappointment I thought it was going to be weeks up till the release. The movie feels a little short and things rushed just a tad... but everything fits well together (especially if your not rooted in the comics... if you are... you probably will grip some).
I agree with one of the previous reviews... the special effects were great in some parts but others looked really bad. For instance scenes with bone claws looked great all the time... but some with the metal claws looked pretty fake.
Its no Batman Begins or Dark Night... but I think its as good as Ironman and way better than X-Men 3.
Its def a good movie worth seeing in theatres and then later buying on Blu-ray :)

The characters are entertaining with their abilities, and although things are predictable, it was still good. It's short at 1 hr 47 min, so you're not needing to go to the bathroom and missing something pivotal. And for those of you X-Men fans, it's kind of interesting how they tie up all the knots between what you already know, and how things actually start.
But this is all considering I was 5 minutes late to the movie and had front row corner seats. Bleh!

Remember that time when you first moved to LA? Your parents called and they said something to the extent of "So hows the traffic?" To which you replied "it's everything you've heard about." Well, thats kinda like this Wolverine movie. All the reviews are pretty bad, rotten tomatoes has it at like 38%, and ebert wouldn't waste his own feces on the film.The only way to kill Wolverine? Adamantium Bullets. Or how about the time that The Blob hears Logan say "bub," but mistakes it for "blob" and is offended by this. Also remember the time that this movie was rife with cliche, bad writing, sloppy editing. This is a bad bad movie. Just how bad? It's everything you've heard about.

The Movie was a great compliment to the comic Weapon X. Great way to explain how everything was a big question mark to the other two X-Men movies. If you seen both X-Men movies and never seen the X-Men Comic, this is a must see to explain how it all began. This movie is put together so well that even the ladies will enjoy it.

this was a good prequel to the Xmen films, they did have to take some liberties in the details but did a good job of tying in the previous films. The did give you some insight to some characters without showing too much, Definitely the main focus is Wolverine and sabertooth.

I was a bit nervous to hear they'd be making prequels to the X-Men trilogy, as I didn't want them to ruin it. And they didn't. X-Men Origins Wolverine is a great prequel, particularly to people who were in to the comic books or cartoons as a kid. I was so glad to finally see Gambit in an X-Men movie, and he did not disappoint. Can't wait for Magneto...

I have no problem with the directors/Hollywood taking liberties with these type of movies...but they took too many and some of them created plotholes. In Xmen-1 Sabretooth never acknowledges the fact that him and Logan had the same father and fought in 3 major wars together.Emma Frost and SilverFox being sisters, they couldnt give her a better reason to work for Stryker a more believeable reason. Professor X should DEFINITELY not be walking, he is already crippled before he meets scott and storm. Not even going to get into the alternate endings and Deadpool clone. Decent movie could have been a lot better if it was closer to actual story.Why do u think Superman Returns was so hated too many weird liberties taken.Overall decent to watch.

Okay, mind you, I went into the theatre expecting to be heavily disappointed with Gambit and Deadpool's portrayals...and was unexpectedly surprised by the awesomeness that is know as X-Men Origins: Wolverine. As for Deadpool, oh man, you'll be blown away by his sword skillz. I'm ashamed that I doubted Gambit even for a second! I don't care that Hugh Jackman is taller than Wolverine's actual character, or less angry/scruffy than most wanted, he IS Wolverine - I could not imagine any other actor replacing him. Overall, despite a few repetitive scenes with Wolverine and his brother, the plot was understandable if you've followed the other movies, and the action sequences were so amazingly sfkdjalkfdsa wonderful, you have to go see it. GO NOW!

Sure, the character foundations are shaky. Sure, the plot could have used a little more work. Sure, the special effects are inconsistent with some being only so-so while others are pretty spectacular. But this is what big, dumb popcorn movies are all about. Is anyone expecting anything else from “Transformers: Rise of the Fallen” or any other summer blockbuster?
Plus, if guys want to get out of seeing “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” with their wives or girlfriends, they can always convince the ladies to go to “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” by reminding them that Hugh Jackman spends much of the film in various stages of undress.
Ultimately, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” is like a Big Mac... not really good for you but decadently enjoyable.

I watched it at midnight and lemme just say that it was great. Filled with action from start to finish. My favorite character was Gambit, he was so cool with his staff and cards. Dealing diamonds at Wolverine and sending Wolverine flying thru the wall. IT WAS GREAT!!!!

There are too many characters. This makes it hard to feel, or care, what happens to any of them. I applaud many actors in this film but am astoundingly disappointed with Jackman's performance. On at times, he’s off at others. Animalistic quirks from the first X-Men aren’t here in a movie entirely about him. Action sequences involving mutant powers are impressive. Fight sequences are boring. Logan doesn’t have super-healing – he’s immortal. All of the mutants together couldn’t have made this a better film. What could have would have been fewer characters, more in-depth characterization, and a more compelling story overall.

Personally, I think this film has the best fighting scenes over the previous X-men films. The fight scene with Deadpool against Sabre Tooth and Wolverine were sick. I also liked how there was a touch of humor through out the movie..Most exciting part for me was Gambit..because he was one of my favorites as a kid. I'm hoping there will be an X-men Origins surrounding his story. Overall, the film was not a disappointment and it surpassed my expectations. Go see it in theaters..don't wait for DVD...

I liked this movie, I enjoyed it alot. Good fight scenes and action. I did however disagree with somethings.
Deadpool wasn't done right. He's not Baraka from Mortal Kombat. He doesn't have a optic blast from Cyclops' DNA.
The healing factor was correct, which came from injections from Wolverine in the comics. His teleporting was correct, but it wasn't from Mutant DNA, it was from a device he wears.
Too many mutants thrown at us, it just seemed clustered.
Wolverine's Claws also seemed to change possition. 1 moment they are coming out toward the top of his knuckles, then later they are lower.

Fast paced, action packed. It went so smooth it seemed short... was it more than an hour? My 12 year old won't stop talking about it. We both already want to see it again. Tip: As with all the other X Movies, watch it through to the end of the credits.
