Overall this movie was awesome. They took liberties with the story a little, but still kept enough to make it ok. Honestly, I would recommend this movie to everyone, it is action packed and the special effects are great! I can't wait for a sequel.

So Finally it happend. The big epic Origins of the X:MEN. For anybody that read the comics, collected the trading cards, watched the cartoons, collected the action figures, drew the characters, pretended they were Wolverine, and/or just loves action films this is the movie for you. You might even learn something new so check it out it's worth the price.

First off, I must say that the casting of this movie was great. Even Will.I.Am, whose day job is a rapper, did well in his part. I first thought the idea of Ryan Reynolds being a mutant was a bit strange, but after seeing the movie, his role fit him well too.
Most of the movie was well done, and the story to me did a great job of giving Wolverine a reason and justification to act as he does in the later X-Men movies.
It was a bit strange to have a few of the characters that appear in sequentially later movies be played by better actors in this prequel (like Sabertooth), but overall it was good.
So overall, a good movie, worth seeing, but not the best I've seen.

I had high hopes for this movie. Finally, we're going to see the real complexities of the man behind the claws. The problem is, they were dealing with a lot of other comic book characters besides Wolverine. Yes, we got his backstory but it all felt haphazard. There was no real depth to his character. Even in the first 2 X-Men movies, you can tell that there's a lot going on beneath the surface. IIn this movie, the surface is basically the be all end all of Wolverine and in that respect, I felt disappointed. Come see it for the action and performances but don't expect to see the Batman Begins of the Marvel franchise.

I took someone with me that has never seen an X-Men movie or comic before. She also falls asleep on every movie! She not only stayed awake but said she has to see the others! The movie was awesome!

For comic book fans, they will notice holes in the story and lots of poetic license taken. However, the movie is action packed. I think this is the best movie in the X-Men series because the story is tighter knit, and narrowed to just a couple of characters. The cast does an excellent job. For families, there is quite a bit of violence and some disturbing images that might scare smaller children. Make sure to stay after the credits!

Overall the movie was good. I didn't expect the story line that it revolved around (I haven't followed the series so maybe I would have known if I did). I was a little bored at some moments but the overall action made up for it, in addiction to to fight scenes with sexy men with hard bodies. Yum.

A good start to the summer movie season. Not as thrilling as X-Men, but still entertaining. The back story was good, I would have preferred more on some of the other characters as this one centered on Wolverine and Sabertooth. The X-Men have a lot more to offer in terms of future movies. Lots of action and entertaining enough for 2 adults, a 16 year old girl and an 11 year old boy. Stay til the end, you get a bonus clip!

Almost every scene was directed to produce the most shocking, over-the-top, ridiculous violence. The special effects were nothing new (or special), and the story was disorganized, choppy, and much too long. It was truly a dissapointment. I actually started laughing during some scenes, as the story (and acting) progressed from bad to embarassing.

for the novice this could probably be an enjoyable film but if you have ever picked up a wolverine, x-men, or any comic where wolverine was featured do yourself a favor and gouge out your eyes before you go and see this. they tried to put a new spin on an old classic and ended up crashing into a semi truck called poor writing. tack on a pg13 rating to what is one of the most violent characters ever created and you have the mother of all blueballs. mind you it did have great special effects. theres just one thing that sums all this up it was another X-men 3.

The movie had so much potential that the end product couldnt help but fall short. The PG-13 rating says it all, and a large amount of the movie was directed specifically at teen-agers. If this had been done as originally intended, it would have been amazing, but as it stands, it is merely passable.

This movie was great! Lots of action and it was very intense. Explained alot about Wolverine and Sabertooth. It showed the history between these 2 and I found that incredibly interesting. I don't know why so many movie goers and comic fans are always griping about changes in the story--directors and writers are adapting the overall comic mythology to a packaged event that will appeal to many viewers...having said that (and being a huge x-men fan since the early 80s) I thought Wolverine Origins was FANTASTIC!! Great action, great story, and great surprise guest stars (although I guessed who was guiding Cyclops through the nuclear facility)...does this movie redeem the dreadful X-men 3? Not really--but it is a good start...

I really enjoyed this movie. I was very surprised because the critics really panned this. Great action, great plot, great hotties..........but it also explained how Wolverine was created as well as his "human" depth and side. Hugh and Liev looked GREAT and much younger than normal. I definitely give this movie 3 or 4 stars

Loved it. I have thoroughly enjoyed how the studios have reinvented the storylines in the XMen movies and created new character dynamics rather than just reiterating old storylines from the comics or just taking the origins stories word for word and note for note and placing them on the big screen. Some fans only want the exact idea from the comics on the silver screen. I prefer this new MO. FANTASTIC FILM! CANT WAIT FOR THE DVD.

Very good movie - good story, great cast. Lots of action and the effects were super! I would have liked to see more interaction with the other guys but they had so much of a story to tell with Wolverine and Sabertooth, they just didn't have the time.
