Being a fan of the comics, I expected more from this movie. If your only exposure to Wolverine is through the other X-Men moives, you'll probbaly enjoy it. If you know the comicbook history of the charcter, I'd wait for the DVD. If you want a really good Wolverine origin story, pick up the Wolverine Origin trade paperback and the Weapon X tradepaperback. That's what the movie should have been.

It was a very good movie. Definitely a 4 star movie. I was enthralled and excited the whole time, but not moved. I loved the background history of the characters and performances were amazing. Hugh Jackman gave one of his best performances ever. I didn't think he could do better than he did in "The Fountain," but he surprised me.

Maybe my expectations for this film were too high. It had the plot, the action, the actors for it, the scenes between Wolverine and Sabertooth were captivating, powerful, provoking a primal audience reaction to their savage interaction. BUT, something was missing. Perhaps it's a lack of grittiness to tie it all together. But outside of Logan and Creed's beastial chemistry on screen, this movie seemed to rely too much on slick, clean scenes geared more for kids, than the gritty imagery of say Nolan's Batman films. This was good, but it really wanted to be so much more.

Very disappointing. The story line was rushed and lacked depth. Very teenager friendly. And why is there always a girl lover involved? Seriously? Can we get past the fact that women aren't the cause of everything. The only good part is the development of wolverine's relationship with Sabertooth.

Not the worst movie i've ever seen, far from the best. It's another rushed attempt to take a cool concept, and not reach its full potential. You won't leave feeling like you wasted money, but you won't be talking about it afterwards either.

I went to see this with two X-men fans and knew nothing of the series and wondered if I'd feel confused. Instead, I found the plot nicely spelled out and the characters easy to understand. It's a fun movie, and while Hugh Jackman was amazing, Liev Schrieber nearly steals the show with his evil brother character. I'd recommend this movie to anyone over the age of 12, as the violence is too much for younger kids.

Sure, the Blob was never a thin mercenary. Sure, Wade Wilson wasn't a mutant. But what a storyline! And we learn Logan's real first name. Definitely a good action movie.

If you love X-men, you'll love this movie. It was a great combination of action and story-line....they didn't cram too much in and they didn't leave too much out.
My only critcism was the boxing scene - it could have been edited out and more could've been shown about Logan's early years.

About what you'd expect: splashy, bombastic action sequences and lots of fan service (brief appearances by Gambit, Deadpool, and a young Emma Frost), strung together by a plot so thin and full of holes that it looks more like Swiss cheese. Hugh Jackman is always charming, and Liev Schreiber is a surprisingly good heavy (who knew he could be menacing?), but there's not a lot else to recommend it unless you're a diehard X-Men fan. One of those movies that is exactly what it's advertised as, and nothing more.

If you want to turn off your brain and just watch screen violence, go see Crank High Voltage, that's a good movie. First off, comic book geeks stay away. Secondly, everyone else, its just not good enough to justify seeing. The plot is contrived the characters are shallow, which shouldn't matter for an action movie but this movie decides its going to make you sit through way too much of it. There's a good fight at the end and a few good one liners, but not enough to justify the eight or nine bucks

My friends and I stood outside the theater doors in uncomfortable silence, all of us thinking, "Did I really just pay $13 to see that?" I am usually the first to defend a comic book movie against my fellow nerd, but there was nothing redeeming about this movie. The dialogue was awful! It was like every script doctor in Hollywood threw in their worst one liner ever and plot twist idea and it got approved. The effects were poor. The tracking on Wolverine's claws in the bathroom scene didn't match and the metal looked like a flat cartoon drawn on the screen. I've never felt cheated out of time and money after seeing a movie in the theaters. This is a first.

Just felt the general taste was cheap. Overly obvious, plainly acted, and cheesy.
Also, I never once worried about the character in terms of believing he was ever in any physical danger or caring about any emotion motivation that he pretended to have.
All in all, a disaster. Much less than I was hoping for and I went in just wanting to be entertained.
It may make decent money, but it certainly won't reach the critical acclaim of Iron Man or the Dark Knight and may even join the ranks of X-men 3 and Spiderman 3 in terms of universal guffaw.
I will say that Hugh Jackman looks great in the title role, but sorry Wolvie. You let me down!

Good action and even some decent acting and drama. Hugh Jackman was very believabe. I luv him as Wolverine! Woulda liked to have seen more of Ryan Reynolds character and maybe why doesn't Gambit and/or Professor Xavier coax Logan to go with the rest of the group. Otherwise no complaints. Would like to see an "origens" trilogy

Some of the plot is thin and the pacing is so-so, but if you go in without expecting Batman Begins and don't mind some shameless perversion of the comic plots, Liev Schrieber and Hugh Jackman do a wonderful job with what they're given and the special effects and action are just enough to make it worth watching.

It had great action, but a so-so story. I found it to mostly be a fanboys nightmare. The theatre was very quiet at the end.
The scenes with the “special team” of mutants were outstanding. I was very pleased with each of the portrayals.
Nothing made sense after that, and that is when I realized, “I’m a fanboy”. From there, I just can’t say anything more without this turning in a Wiki description of the movie.
I will say two things: First, I wondered why they didn’t show Sabretooth’s transition from the cunning sadistic Liev Schreiber character to the more feral Tyler Mane character. Two, sat through the credits expecting spoiler …was disappointed.

I really enjoyed watching this movie. I thought that the action was great, the acting was good as well. The actors chosen to play each character was very right on. They also answered all the question that were asking in the X-men movies and comics. I.e. His memory lapse. Not to mention Hugh looked GREAT!! I am looking forward to seeing it again and buying it on DVD.

They kept reaching for something that wasn't there. Making connections that did not exist. Just when you thought they had failed they come up with a magic bullet that erases Logan's memory, sounds like the Zapruder film.
