I took my boys to see this movie, they are 13 and 15. Its hard these days to find a movie we can all enjoy, without embarrasing humor or more that I dont want my kids to see, especially my youngest. Lots of action, we would see it again!

It was great to see how the Wolverine and Sabretooth came to be. While some of the story line strayed away from the comic version, it was very well orchestrated and presented by Liev Shreiber and Hugh Jackman. Having seen all the Marvel movies, it was an enjoyable ride.

Never thought of Liev Schreiber in this type of role, but his performance, and that of Hugh Jackman make this movie a true representation of a comicbook come to life. Plot cannot help but be contrived and effects were not always believable but it is, on the whole, a well done and enjoyable film.

This prequel was sooo good! I have seen ALL of the X-men movies and wasn't sure a "before" pic was for me. BUT this was a great character study of Wolverine. The special effects were awesome. The story was the same which I appreciated. In other words, even though this movie covered an earlier time, it was not confusing because mutants were still discriminated against, tortured and threatened. AND, of course, like the other X-men movies, the characters overcame their situations, if only for just that moment in time, and continued on no matter what.

The movie had great action and stunt sequences, especially the final battle scenes - amazing visuals. Found out so much new stuff about Wolverine in this movie that I thought I knew. Never knew he and Sabretooth were related. Couple of cringe-worthy scenes when Sabretooth steps on Logan's "bone blades". Overall, great little surprises in the movies in terms of cameos. Love plot was a huge twst. Please let's get the Storm Origins story next.

This one has enough surprises, interesting characters, thematic elements that it lands as one of the top of my list for X-Men movies. All the the parts are well-cast, with genuinely talented and thoughtful actors. I recommend this one especially for the ladies because of the heart of the main character -- don't we love to cheer for the hunk with a good heart?

Growing up reading comic books you usually found your hero refraining from killing their opponent. In fact with some heros you find that they woud only resort to violence when no other method would work. Then came "Weapon X' a.k.a. Wolverine. His code seems to be "Mess with me and I'll cut your heart out!"
We learn the mysterious man past and his affillication with the sadistic "Sabertooth". With his unque ability to heal at will we learn that the man know as "Logan" became who he is now in order to exact revenge for the death of a loved one. When he learns that Sabretooth his hunting down fellow mutants this further enrages Logan. with the execption of changing James and Heather Hudson from the comics this was a well done movie.

Pretty Good Action packed fighting movie for X-Men..Not totally impressed though as it always leaves openings for other stories to be explored. At any rate with what was given the plot was pretty good.

I was excited to see this movie when it first came out, and sad to say it didn't live up to what I thought it would be. No real climax, and in my opinion the special effects were bad. You could definitely tell in different parts of the movie, especially at the end when they are running to the helicopter that it was completely fake. Star Trek was ten times better.

this film is meant to stand on its own, providing the backstory for the wolverine character. it does so...but, poorly. the plot/script is weak and totally predictable. there is minimal character development outside of the 2 or 3 main characters. the pacing is off - - a certain amount is to be expected, as wolverine rejects his past, and seeks normalcy. but, at points where i was clearly supposed to be riveted, i was just yawning, and looking at my watch (at least 5 times). ho hum.
my companion, who was excited to see this film, said, "it was ok." that should speak volumes...

I saw all 3 X- Men Movies and highly recommend this movie. If you read the comics, you will find the origin is close to the comic version and is a well-told story. Stay until the credits are done - there's a final scene

i saw all the xmen movies and they were so-so, but this one blew me away. all through the movie i was "oh so that explains why that happened" i totally understand the wolverine character now. i actually left the theatre wanting to see the first xmen movie again.

This movie rocked!! Wolverine is one of my favorite X-Men so I really enjoyed it! I also LOVED the fact that Gambit was in it...I used to watch the cartoon when I was younger and Gambit was my favorite character!!! Seeing him in it made that movie that much better!!

If you are an X-Men fanatic, expect some liberties with details, but also expect a great film! This is the story of Wolverine and Sabertooth, where they came from and why they are the way the are. It ends where the first X-Men movie began.
There are many small roles and scenes that are wonderfully played, that add to the intricate weave of this tale of brothers and of their bond.
Liev Schreiber brings his powerful presence to a roll that was all but lost in the first film of the series. He brings depth to the roll and never ceases to surprise us. For that matter, this film is full of surprises, so don't leave when you think its over...its not!

I had not seen any of the other Wolverine movies and didn't really expect this to be a pic I would enjoy, but I did. Great action scenes and strong motivation of Jackman's character made this movie work. Oh, and Hugh wasn't hard on the eyes either!

Wolverine was worth the in-theatre cost. It was entertaining and told a story beginning to end. IF you are die-hard comic book fan you will be disappointed to some degree for not exactly being this or that...fill in the blank. If you want to see an action movie that has good dialogue and tells a story, this movie is for you--an adult.

This was a pretty good movie, I liked learning about Wolverine's back story. They botched Deadpool quite a bit and some of the other characters were weird plot-wise. The acting was good though and it was exciting.

The movie was fine the problem was if a true fan of X-men saw it they would notice many major mistakes in the story plot. Example deadpool never had cyclopes' power to shoot lazers from his eyes nor did he have the swords in his arms like wolvererine he carried them on his back and was a master with them like when you first see im in action in the begining. Other than details like that it was alright. movie makers just need to make sure to have the right history on a subject before they start making stuff up.

The problem with this film is that it was simply over ambitious and had far too wide a scope. They crammed everything they could think of into a 90 minute movie and the result was a film with a couple of good scenes surrounded in a sea of sewage. The film makers should seriously be embarrassed, ashamed even.
The film wasn't so bad up until the New Orleans scene. The moment Gambit entered the picture, the film had jumped the shark.
This film would have been better, good even, if it was a darker film focused on a much smaller scale. If, for example, this film was Wolverine hunting and evading Sabertooth in the woods in Canada, it would have been 1000 times better than what I was witness to in the theater.

well the movie starts interesting of course with like the beginning of everything but then like almost half way it turns like kind of boring like until the end...so...i honestly expected more! more action!!! yeah they showed up some of the other mutants when they were young but honestly this movie is like a C....
