While many of the characters and plots in this movie are never fully fleshed out or resolved, and some things don't make sense when compared to the comics or other movies, it was still a very entertaining 1.5 hours. The action was good, it was nice seeing these character, for the brief time they are there, and wolverine is fantastic.
If you are a fan of wolverine or x-men, you need to see it. If not... well, then it may not be as good to you. But, you should still try it out. I don't think anyone would hate it, but if you love action, super powers, and claws, it's your kind of movie, bub!

I liked the movie, the special effects and fight scenes were nice, the plot could have been better sequenced. I also think they would have been better off adding a bit more of Wolverine's past, as it was in the comic book.
Hopefully in the next movie they will tie it all together from the original story line and rely less on special effects and big explosions to really dig into the story of Logan and his losses.

Sometimes we have great expectations with movies like this. This one didn't let it's audience down at all. I think it was really good and interesting. Great movie, full of action and adventure.

I thought X-Men Origins was a very well done and entertaining film. I love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and he didn't disappoint. It did bother me slightly that a few of the reoccurring characters weren't cast the same as they had been in past movies, but that was easy to forgive based on performances. I do wish that Gambit had had a bigger part. All in all, it was excellent and I enjoyed it very much,

Things go boom as they should and there are some cool uses of powers in those scenes, particularly the opening assault by the Weapon X team. Liev Schreiber is good (as always), making Sabretooth villianous but human. Jackman is likeable...
...but lacks an edge that the character needs (and that he seemed to have a better handle on in X-Men and X2). There are giant plot holes, particularly in the second half as it tries to align itself with the previous films.
Decent popcorn flick that will probably delight and infuriate fandom in equal measure while the general public forgets about it by the time the next blockbuster is released.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Not as spectacular as I would have hoped, the pacing was a bit uneasy, and I wished for a bit more character development. But nonetheless, still enjoyable with some pretty cool fight scenes. Leaned a bit too heavily on the CGI for my taste.

It was pretty good. The effects were cool. Jackman looks amazing. I also enjoyed the other characters and there was some good humor in the script. They could have put a little more into the story. I felt they raced through his life up until the metal infusion - more life experience would have given his character more depth.

Overall I felt "Wolverine" was an enjoyable, popcorn type movie. Unfortunatly ,as with most prequels, we know where this is going to end up, so any real tension for the main character is moot. The only real problem I had was the way the writers sprinkled established characters throughout the screen only to have them killed off in short order. Effects were good and as you can imagine the fight scenes incredible. Would have liked to have seen more of the back story of Logan during his early life in the Civil War, WWI, WWII and Vietnam.

This movie was superb. If you're a comic geek you'll quickly notice the Marvel X-MEN canonical inaccuracies. However, if you appreciate good film making then you'll be pleased with the liberties the director took. Therefore, chalk another great one up for Marvel.

Overall, this movie was awesome. The acting was superb exspecially for a comic book movie. The characters of Gambit, Sabertooth, and Deadpool were fine additions to the movie and complimented Wolverine's character very well. The story while not as good as Iron Man and The Dark Knight was interesting and funny. The story did not bog the movie down and at just under two hours the movie was a good length. While not perfect, the special effects in a couple scenes needed to be cleaned up- the action sequences were awesome. If one is looking for a fun experience and willing to forgive a few small problems than this movie is for you.

The first 45 minutes or so were pretty fantastic. It was exactly what you want in an action movie: just enough plot to keep you in the loop, decent pacing, witty one-liners, and likable characters. Things went boom when they were supposed to go boom, and you felt you understood and related to the hero. The last hour gets a bit messy and rewrites a good chunk of the X-men Universe. The dialogue and plot were pretty predictable, and the final battle felt like watching two kids play Mortal Kombat. Slightly better than X3, but nowhere near as fantastic as X1 or X2. I miss Singer as a director.

Overall the movie was great. Wolverine was by far made to look much tougher than in the previous x-men movies. The story felt a bit rushed and some the fighting sequences were a little short. Would have been great to see a bit more action with Gambit and Deadpool. The one thing that really got to me was Deadpools cyclops ray. That was very lame, what the heck were they thinking.

Got plenty of time to build the story but the story still falls apart. There are some scenes where some characters got killed and bloody and then one or two scenes after that the dead character looks as clean as can be (no blood). The action is poor, the graphic is poor, the acting is poor.

We know Wolverine is in the XMen 1-3 so he o obviously is going to survive this movie.
The humor (one liners) are good, kept the movie rolling along. The action was nonstop and it allowed us to see a side of Logan few of us know, but now we know why he had amnesia when the Xmen found him. Liev Schreiber was a bit overzealous in his love of violence, but he was a strong yang to Hugh's yin. Ryan Reynolds provided excellent humor and surprise with his character's evolution. It was good to see the back story.

As long as you are going for a MOVIE and to be ENTERTAINED, then you will be. If you are looking for the movie to follow the comics, you will be disappointed. Most of the special effects were pretty good, just don't look in the mirror too closely (you'll know what I mean).

The movie had great action scenes and a mildly solid storyline. The storyline, however, does not follow the comic book origin of Wolverine. If you are a die-hard Marvel Wolverine fan, then be wary that it does not follow what you have read all these years.
If you like action and just follow the movie storyline without looking into the comic book version, you will enjoy the movie.

This film has been a long time in the making and had potential to be great. Potential that was wasted by using over-done movie cliches. For instance, the bad guy who redeems himself, the character that takes a poison to appear dead. For one thing, Wolverine has superhuman senses... Don't you think he'd know if someone was barely alive. Anyway, the special effects were obviously farmed out to an unexperienced company. Wolverine's claws look a little too cartoonish. Marvel should stick with the same company that made the latest hulk film.Overall, I think the film would have been 10x better had they not made some many deviations from the actual comic book story lines that the film is based on.

Get over it. They didn't follow the comics. So what?! I tuned out the flaws in the details / match-up with the comics. I love X-men and Wolverine. But I went there to see a movie not the comic book. So I was pleased! There were a couple of spots where the blue screen looked hinky. But, over all if you are looking to be entertained with good super hero stuff see it!!!

To the average movie goer this move would rate below average....but definetely worth seeing for the X-men and comic book enthusiasts. Kids will LOVE it!
One of the biggest downsides on this flick is the lack of screen time for some of the most interesting charcaters. Along with some awkward looking actions scenes (wolverines claws look a bit cartoon in spots). That said, there are still PLEANTY of explosions and fight scenes to satisfiy the appetite.

Aight, so I was really excited to see this...the movie was pretty much what I would expect out of the X Men franchise, along with the fact it's a summer popcorn type of flick: big action sequences, lots of cool mutants and special effects.
My biggest issue is they portrayed Victor Creed aka Sabretooth as this really talkative character, but in the original XMen movie, this dude uttered only a few words and even those words sounded like he had a limited vocab! This guy was like part smart alec and part thespian in this flick. Overall, it was an enjoyable movie and seeing it at the new Mainstreet AMC theatre really upped the fun...vibrating seats...WOW!

I really enjoyed this movie. It explained a lot, of course, but also left you wondering how that all plays out after the rest of the films. Guess we'll see... the only drawback I found from this one was that a couple times Hugh Jackman was unnecesarily put out in front like the big bad man he became later as opposed to what he was then. It didn't make sense other than the fact that he was the staring hero, so it took something from the scene and made him appear arrogant, unnecessarily so for the character.
All in all, it was a good movie and I recommend it to anyone who likes this type of action/sci-fi. Enjoy!

The first X-Men movie was a better movie from a story perspective. But, with that said I enjoyed the director's vision on the history of Wolverine. I thought Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber played excellent parts. It was an enjoyable movie and I'll be purchasing it when it goes on sale.
