I totally loved this movie ... all except the Gambit character - very disappointed with him (and any true Gambit fan will be). Overall though, I can't wait for part two! Hugh Jackman rocks as Wolverine!

While the basic story line covers Jimmy/Logan/Wolverine, we also get to see a little bit of several X-men backrounds. The movie is a little sluggish in some parts,but makes up for it with the final 20 minutes or so.
I'm kind of wondering how much makeup they had to spackle onto Patrick Stewart to make him look younger for this movie.

Overall fun experience with a few bumps. The green screen/ CGI based scenes were obvious in a DLP theater. Not sure why the producers took this route in some scenes but overall the movie was more than enjoyable. I would have to say that the average viewer would leave loving this movie, while sci-fi/comic enthusiasts may leave feeling a little car sick due to the lack of continuity between live action and CGI. The waterfall jump was just horrible.

This was an excellent movie. It had everything needed to make it a great action movie as well as a tie in to the other X-Men movies. It put all the other X-Men into a more real atmosphere and explained how it all got started. Putting Dr. Xavier in at the last picking up all the children was an inspiration. I will recommend this movie to anyone who will listen.

Not really a date movie, but it does have a romantic plot. Good action, decent storyline, explains a lot of back story and sets up for future movies. All in all a great start to a new series of Xmen movies.

The movie was great and the special effects were great. I loved the way they tied this movie in with all the others - having Patrick Stewart show up to help all the Mutants. Brilliant - good going guys. Heard they are doing another and I will be there opening weekend when it comes out.

Jimmy shows up and the audience is gasping as he produces bone claws from between his knuckles. They're not the antiseptic, gleaming "adamantium" we were expecting. Then we are all asking, 'So how did Wolverine get his name and that wonderful metal skeleton?' "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" answers those questions and lends a few other mutants to the scene to round out a popcorn popping summer movie. Lots of cameos and glib "one-liners" lead up to a fairly interesting final confrontation. Grab a few friends, a couple of hours to spare, and see "Wolverine."

Being a huge Marvel comics fan, I had pretty high expectations for this movie. But my expectations were satisfied and even surpassed! The movie had a lot of background on a variety of different mutants, many of which we haven't seen in the previous 3 movies. I thought Liev Schreiber did a fantastic job as Sabretooth as well, much better than the Sabretooth incarnation in the first X-Men film. I'm very much looking forward to the next X-Men film, as I'm anxious to learn more and more about all the mutants that were introduced in this movie.

This is one of those movies that you need to turn your brain off for. It was fairly enjoyable, but if you are not familiar with Marvel characters then it just won't mean much to you. Granted if you are familiar then you might also not like certain liberties they take with characters. If you can enjoy it for what it is though... then you will enjoy it. The fights are well done and is really the reason for this movie. It wasn't better than X2, but it was better then X3. I look forward to sequels.

I didn't go into this movie with really high expectations and was pleasantly surprised otherwise. I found the movie engaging and well-developed. My only hiccup was that the claws really didn't look real, but otherwise enjoyed the action sequences and storyline.

Although the special effects were great and so was the acting, I felt disappointed in the end. It seemed like it was one fight scene after another, no real story. The other X-Men movies always had 2 or 3 story lines going. I really missed that.

When they make a movie about an existing series with already established plotlines. It's important to treat some of these plotlines with respect, rather then pulling down your pants and dropping a deuce on them. This could have been a better movie, but the writing kills it. Some of the actors performances were good, Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber.. it's hard to tell if Dominic Monaghan was good, since he was not used enough, same with Ryan Reynolds. They basically ruined Deadpool, and ruined is not a strong enough term. But if you're ignorant to anything that's going on, you'll probably like it, but when it comes to the actual fan of the comics, even the cartoon series, it's just disappointing. I want 107 minutes of my life back.

I was somewhat ambivalent about going to see this movie in the theatre. Not because I don't like the X-Men series, but because I thought it would be another "series" movie. But, I was pleasantly surprised. This movie helped make sense of Logan's life and the creation of Wolverine. The plot was good. The movie suspenseful and the special effects were outstanding. I enjoyed the movie very much. Now I've got to go back and watch the other movies again. Looking forward to the next one!

Saw the moview twice, back to back, Friday night. I woul give it a solid A from the perspective of just watching the movie. As a Marvel fan, I would have to give it a B/B- for the changes from wolverine's true orgins. Some of the camera work showing Sabertooth's leaps looked poorly done, very surprising given the overall quality of the movie.

Fun movie from the start. I can't see why some critics have put this movie down, because it really delivers from start to finish. By the way make sure you stay until the very end, after they roll the credits for an extra surprise.
