First in case you have not heard, stay for the end of the movie!!! There is a tag at the end just like in the other X-men movies.
Second, this is a great movie with lots of good actors. I'd recommend it to friends and would willingly go see it a second time with them!

I did miss all the rest of the characters, also. it did explain a lot about Wolverine, but the connection to Sabretooth was good except for 1 major flaw. In the past movies..they made Sabretooth seem like a mindless beast with not thought or feeling, just animal instincts. Although, in the Wolverine movie he has thoughts and actually a "smooth killer" character, that actually had speech. So, are we to believe he mutated more and lost all his "cool" characteristics? Just my thought. But...great movie all in all.

I found this movie to be an excellent installment in the X-men Universe. The plot and special effects were fantastic. Most of the acting was well done. This was the perfect Wolverine movie for adult fans. I would recommend paying attention to the PG-13 rating. Overall an excellent flick. More Gambit PLEASE!

In most part the movie was good, it just felt like it went on and on. It seemed so long. Everyone did a good job acting, there could have been less footage. My brother fell asleep, had to keep waking him up.

By far better than the first two X-men films. This movie not only incorporates better action sequences but the story line and plot was fantastic.
Growing up as a kid reading the x-men comics this movie, to me, was the ultimate compliment to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. For people who did not experience the comic books, this movie sheds light on the first 2 X-men movies.

I think the best part is when wolverine jumps down the waterfall nekkid!
This movie was a fun movie to watch but it did not leave the viewer with any insight, inspiration, happiness, new perspective or anything to think about. I left the theater just saying to myself "so that's how wolverine got his claws"
i'd watch it again but not one of my favorites

when I was growing up, i passively followed the X-men saga and how it continued to unfold. I still have my X-men game for my fully functional NES gaming system. The game was extremely frustrating. This movie, however, was not. It pulled me in from the moment that jimmy pulled out his little claws and killed his father, to the time that he got shot in the head by stryker. this movie has everything. Comedy, suspense, romance, awkwardness, and some good fight scenes. some of my friends thought this movie sucked. I think that they are a little tetched in the head. I will definitely be buying this movie to add it to my already large movie collection.

I thought it was a standard run of the mill movie. Regurdless of all the other reviews talking about how awesome the movie was I had some issues with this one.
I thought it lacked character development at it's core. I also thought that while the action scenes where good, for the mot part, they where poor in taste for the over all story arc of wolverine and at times left you confused on who he really was as a character. Maybe he was a bit too goodie two shoes.
Despite it flaws and noteable clash against the comic, which was to aspected, it was watchable and a decent film.
It wasn't what I thought it would be but was, if barely, good enough.

From the first previews of this movie I was salivating to see it....but once again the story line was changed noticeable for X-Men veterans; however, it works for the story portrayed. Special effects were sweet and acting: Hugh Jackman personifies the role, and the selected cast members were excellent. I had slightly unmet expectations from this film, as the original previews portrayed a movie that seemed a bit different. The background story worked but after he received his adamantium skeleton the story seemed to rush until the end of the movie.
i give 4 Stars for the job well done over all. Hollywood directors, if you're reading this, PLEASE stick with what is written and Stop Changing the Script!!!!

We enjoyed the movie for the most part. It was a little slow at times but did give a very good background on the "making" of Wolverine. Not sure it was true to the comic books since I didn't read those, but the story was good nonetheless.

I was so excited to see this movie, I bought tickets for the 12:01am showing on May 1, even though I start work at 6am. I never felt tired for a moment; this movie was pure adrenaline, with a good balance of back-story. I want to see it in the theater again, and I've recommended it to everyone I know. Hugh Jackman is always a sure bet-he never disappoints, and X-Men is the best serial ever!

Actually an action movie with a story to tell. Maybe it was that it was focused on one character and the one I found most interesting.The story dealing with his life before X-men was brief and concise, but it still left many unanswered questions about how this happened to Wolverine. The movie develops enough threads that there can be the further adventures of Wolverine.

I enjoyed the Xmen movies and so I knew a little bit about Wolverine but not much. I thought the movie was absolutely fantastic!! The action sequences were incredible, and I thought that the story line was well done. For those reviews that didn't rate as well because of 'too much back story on Wolverine' I'd like to say that the back story is part of the point of the entire movie!! (Duh-hence the title, "Wolverine") For those of you that are not that familiar with Xmen or the story line, you will still enjoy this movie if you like action/drama movies. I LOVED it and plan to see it again with my friends.

This movie was just as I expected. They covered the back story on Wolverine and Sabertooth well without dwelling on it. The movie stuck to the vision that Stan Lee had for Wolverine. If you want a ton of other X-men you are not going to find it here. The apperence of one mutant that was missing in the first three movies was brilliantly done. I would recomend this movie to all. Well done.

My opinion is the movie is excellent, from the story line well developed to the special effects. Hugh Jackman outdid himself in his physical abilities, his magnificent physique and his acting. (Great Eye Candy! I appreciate the lengthy storyline because it clearly explains Wolverine and Sabertooth's origins. Anyone who never heard of X-Men would have a clear understanding of who Wolverine is. There is never a dull moment in the movie, it is action packed, very entertaining. I recommend it highly!

This movie was Wolverine Origins which means to anyone who reads the comics it is the story of Wolverine, his past and how he became what he is. Perfectly done in every way. Sabertooth is his brother which many who saw the movie may not have known from the other x-men movies even though Sabertooth was in them as an enemy of Wolverine. It was a wonderful experience and I hope that Hollywood continues to bring in lots of money from Comic Book movies so that we all can enjoy many more to come. These movies inspire kids to read comics and improve reading skills in a way that can bring a lifetime of pleasure at an affordable price.

I really felt like the creators of this movie tried to put too much of Wolverine's storyline in the movie. The end result was not enough information about his character to make this movie truly enjoyable. I would have much rather they just focused on one aspect of his story and done that particular aspect really well, than to try to fit it all in in this one film. I would much rather see them do that, and maybe cover the rest through a high quality graphic novel, or a well done animated special included as special edition items with the DVD release, than to watch a film that leaves this many questions.
The special effects were nice, and Sabertooth's depiction was spot on, in my opinion, but that was really all this film had going for it.

The movie is ok the previews make the movie look like it is a smash hit which I did not think so I thought at times very slow going and at others action packed just seemed to be lacking a consistency and dont get me wrong I loved the other movies this one just did not do it for me. This movie was absolutely wonderful. It had a good mix of action and plot, and the casting was well done. All of the actors had a great sense of humor and it showed that they had fun making the film. I'm definitely looking forward to the next installment in the franchise -- hopefully it will explain what this movie left out. My brother was a fan of the comics growing up, and he loved it, too, despite a few discrepancies.

This definitely surpassed the other X-Men movies by far. The story was well put together, the characters chosen were premium. So those two together made the movie a great movie going experience. The story told wasn't over played, nor under told. I left out of there feeling like I knew exactly what was going, and yet anxious for the next one. Needless to say this movie, (and it's extended endings after the credits), will leave wanting the next installment of the marvel movies...

I thought the movie was very good, probably one of the best so far. My husband, however, was incredibly upset with the portrayal of Deadpool. Like another reviewer said, the character Wade Wilson becomes is not Deadpool, and Deadpool happens to be one of my husband's favorite X-Men characters. He also had issues with the movie's explanation of how Logan looses his memory (I will stop there for people who have yet to see the movie). The conclusion we came to was, just like any book adaptation, creative license is taken to make the movies appeal to the masses, so the character you know from the books may not be the character you see on-screen.

The latest entry in the X-men Series is kind of a mixed bag. Like most comic book movies it deviates away from the source material in many ways. I would urge anyone who has read the Origins books to stay far away from this one, unless they are also fans of the movies. The portrayals of some of the characters were great, and the story seemed to be going for a mix between the comic book origins and the mass market appeal of the movies. Ryan Reynolds plays a fantastic Wade Wilson, but the character he becomes is not Deadpool, which along with the movies twist ending wound up leaving me with the urge to find the writers and gut them.

This had to be the best spin off movie that I have seen ever. Other movie franchises have tried to showcase a certain character that made its debut in their film but with limited success. To finally see the truth of where Wolverine and Sabertooth went wrong was good. It was nice to see the other characters introduced. The franchise now has so many different directions that they can go now that there are so many new characters introduced. And might I add that seeing Hugh Jackman's naked butt did help. :-)

Honestly I was curious as to how the directors would pull this one off and a bit skeptical before entering the theatre. How would they stay true to the comic book history of Wolverine and the one created by the directors of the three previous X-Men films? The combination of screen writing and comic nostalgia held true to the formula Marvel has presented with the adaptions of comics to movies. The action scenes were great as were the characters introduced in this prequel. Gambit and Deadpool desereve future screen time. Hugh Jackman continues to bring new energy to Logan. What's next..
