What a remarkable retelling of a christmas classic. The whole family loved it. Jim Carrey was excellent and the animation was extraordinary. You have to see it in 3D. This is one I will definately buy for my entire family to enjoy year after year.

I loved the movie. I loved how the realistic elements and special effects were interwoven almost seamlessly. I loved the dialog. I loved the characterization. I loved the thrills and darkness. It made the lighter moments even more joyous. Excellent for the Christmas Holidays. It may be a bit too much for little children, but then so may a movie like Transformers and I hear of 4 year olds watching that.

The artwork, animation, and 3D in 'Disney's A Christmas Carol in Digital 3D' were amazing. Unfortunately, they overpowered this classic tale of redemption. This interpretation was too physically outlandish for my taste, and too dark and dreadful for young kids. Jim Carrey did a great job of masking his voice for the various parts he played, but his personality still overpowered the characters. If I wanted someone to understand the story, I would have them see one of the original screen adaptations of 'A Christmas Carol', or read the book. If you just want a 3D visual feast, it is that.

I saw this movie last night with my daughter & my 3 grandchildren ages 11,8, & 6. While there are some scary scenes & a few "jump" moments I don't believe they will have trouble sleeping. Excellent visual effects, flying scenes & great 3-D, they all liked it. The 11 year proclaimed it ,"great". Jim Carey does his usual stellar performance in this type of role.

I saw this movie yesterday with my eight year old son. We both enjoyed the movie very much. This is not the 3D experience of my youth! I am generally skeptical about seeing 3D movies as the glasses usually bother me. The 3D in this movie was fantastic. The quality of the picture was such that it caused no eye strain whatsoever. I particularly enjoyed several of the "flying" scenes. One caution, there are some frightful moments in the film (enough to make me jump a bit!) so be careful with young kids. I'd be a little skeptical about bringing kids younger than 5 or 6....they would probably have some difficulty following the story anyway and the scary parts might be a little too much for them. Other than that, its a fun family movie.

When I first saw the commercials for A Christmas Carol, I was extremely excited to see it. One, because Jim Carey is one of my favorite actors, and two, because I am extremely excited for Christmas. I was surprised it cost so much to see it in 3D, but it was totally worth it. Seeing A Christmas Carol with my husband was the last date night we will have before our son is born, and I couldn't have picked a better movie! I loved the 3D effects, and feeling like I was flying right along with him.

At first I was like, "Bah Humbug! Why should I go see this movie?" But then I remembered that Jim Carrey and Robert Zemeckis lead the creative team on this one.
So I popped on my 3-D glasses and hung on for the ride! And boy was it FUN! I thought I knew the Charles Dicken's story. But I was wrong! Zemeckis and Carrey take it to another level of entertainment!
The visuals were dazzling and the story heart warming; with an animated Gary Oldman who added to the depth of drama.
There were parts that might be too spooky for youngsters. But the magic, spirit, and message are perfect for this time of year!

My wife and I paid $26 bucks for this movie before ever even buying popcorn! Ahh...anyway, The movie was good. We enjoyed the 3D effects and the whole cinemaphotography experience.
We both thought Jim Carrey played a good Scrooge and although the movie was "dark" in humor and was geared more towards adults, it was a fun way to kick off the Holiday Season. The movie itself was a little DARK to view in spots....(the overall lighting of the movie was dark to me.) But I know for setting the vibe and atmosphere, that was probably intentional.
It was breathtaking to see the effects and how 3D has come along over the years. It was a good twist on an old classic story.

I loved this movie, I would not recommend taking children under 9, there are some scary parts, but it does advertise that so there was no surprises!! I saw the movie in 3-D which I think totally made the movie, the animation was excellent. Of course this is still the same Dickens story, but why change the story when it works so well. My husband never saw A Christmas Carol (shocking I know) so he was enjoying the story for the first time and loved it as well. I will probably go see it again!! Such a great movie for the holiday!

This rendition did not offer any new twists to the old show we have been seeing since our childhoods. The 3-D effects and the digital animation were impressive, but other than that, it was just a so-so movie. I would recommend seeing it, only if you have not seen "A Christmas Carol" before. Real good movie. Not for kids however. We took our 4 kids; 14,11,7,5. The older two loved it, the younger two were scared more than we would have liked. A few indecent parts that we would have wanted to be left out of a childrens movie, but not bad.

Although I wish I would not have taken my 5 year old because it scared him to the point where he wants to sleep in my bed now, I did enjoy the movie and my 12 year old did as well. There were times that I couldn't understand what they were saying because of the heavy accent but we made it though it. This was the first 3D movie I have ever been too and that was cool. I ducked a few times so I think it was worth the money spent!

I have never seen a 3D movie at the theaters before. And I can say without a doubt this movie was the best I've ever seen. You felt you could just reach out and touch the snow, and when something started coming towards you I actually tried to dodge whatever it was. I took my 9 year old grand daughter and a few places she covered her eyes for a moment or two, but overall she said she loved it. And I can't say enough for Jim Carey. I love his work and he can do any thing, and he done a wonderful job on this. I want to see it again!!!!

Wife & I thoroughly enjoyed movie. Only negative is that 3D glasses still dim the picture too much even though the 3D really enhances the movie. Don't take small children, however - some of the picture is very intense and might frighten them. Those criticisms aside, it's a great flick and we'll go to see it again.

My husband, 11 year old daughter and I saw this and we were amazed at the awesome 3-D graphics. The movie was never a dull moment! We caught ourselves jumping a few times which makes it even better. I think as long as kids under 10 know the story line and know that the ghosts have to be scary because they are trying to scare the "meanness" out of Scrouge, that they would be okay seeing it. We all left the movie in a great mood, it's so nice to see a positive outcome!

I did not like the movie overall. I liked the anamation and graphics but if I have never seen the story before I would not have gotten much out of it. It was also to scary for children, and it is a Disney movie. I would not recommend this movie to others.
