What an amazing movie this is in terms of animation, graphics, lifelike. I HIGHLY recommend seeing this movie 3D...I can't imagine any other way. Jim Carrey did an amazing job playing numerous characters..true to his abilities. It is a fast paced movie and at times difficult to understand due to the English accents..there were 4 in our party and all agreed that they missed quite a bit of the dialogue. However, animation alone is worth the ticket price! A bit scary for children..many scenes scared our two nine year olds..

We really enjoyed this movie. The graphics were great, the 3D was great and the I-MAX was terrific. The objects on the screen came right to you like you could touch them. I wanted to stick my toung out to catch snowflakes!! Great, when it comes out on blue-ray, I will be in line buying it!!!!

I thought this was great...it was the classic story and the animation was fantastic--such a cool experience in 3D.
But, parts of this movie--- (the ghosts, the intensity of Scrooge) were too dark, too scary for my 7 year old. I even saw a handful of people walk out.
I loved this but my son did not.

For starters i must say....this movie is un-matched in digital quality. The master piece of art is awesome.However the movie starts so slow that by the time scrooge is haunted by the first ghost he was almost dead himself and the crowd was sleeping. I can recall the first ghost visiting him and by the time I woke up from my nap, scrooge was a good christmas loving man. So i would say go see it to get into the holiday spirit....But bring a pillow and blanket.

This film was stunningly beautiful. The characters were expressive, their eyes were full of life, and the 3D was very well done. I was really impressed by how far motion capture has come since the days of Polar Express and Beowulf. It's good enough now where you don't really think about it, and focus more on the acting and story. I'm *really* looking forward to seeing this art form continue to mature.

My 10 year old grandson really liked this movie. I thought it was a good movie but I was a little bit disappointed in it. I thought that with Jim Carrey it should have had a little more celebrating at the end. I guess I expected a bit more "spectacular" than I got.

The graphics in this movie were great and of course the story is a classic. Three negatives: 1) There was a chase scene that was much too long and the time would have been better spent focusing on the happier scenes at the end. 2) If you don't like Jim Carrey there was some of his signature strangeness in the film. 3) It was much too scary for little children. Overall very enjoyable for I would say age 10 and up.

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. A Christmas Carol is one of his most favorite movies, so we planned to see this one as soon as it came out. The 3D effects were great. I'm not a fan of Jim Carrey, but was very impressed with this move. We loved it.

Went and seen this last night with my Husband and Daughter (8). The Grafic's were great, There are a couple of parts that were very scary to little ones and a couple next to us had 2 girls about 3 & 5 and they both started screaming and crying. Needless to say they left. All and all I enjoyed the movie with the exception of the drag on and on in the middle of the movie I would of love to see more of Bob and his family.

This movie was wonderful. The 3D and graphics were amazing! Classic telling of this story but also extra features to add some humor but all so add some suspense. This did have some scary moments in it, quite a few actually so I would NOT reccommend it for young children unless you preview it first to make sure your child can handle it. The 3D does make it scarier. One child behind us was actually whimpering after the first scene with Marley's ghost. Was an amazing movie and I will probably go see it again.

This movie gets you in the holiday spirit. The 3D effects were incredible. The storyline followed in true Dickens tradition, but did drift off a couple of times. There are a few scary scenes which I believe the 3D intensified the effect, so parents with younger children take caution. Haunted Mansion did not freak out my nephews (12 & 9) but this movie caused several eye closing moments. I would recommend this movie to all my friends and family, but 3D is the way to see this movie. I think Disney could have waited two more weeks (Thanksgiving week) to put out the movie to bring the holiday spirit come full circle.

My kids and I went to the Train Tour and actually saw the preview. We were antsy awaiting the release! And we were NOT disappointed!!! The ghost characters were the closest to what I always thought they should look like. Even the one from the future shows that he is part of Scrooge. There were a few parts that my daughter (almost 10) thought were a bit scarey but she watched them anyway and was able to describe it all to her Dad later. I would go see it again!

Took my 7 1/2 year old granddaughter to this movie and she said there were some scary parts, but she watched the entire movie. This was my first experience with 3D and I was amazed with the technology! There were so many times I felt like I could reach out and actually touch things. Over all the movie was another great act for Jim Carrey. I think maybe it would be too scary for a lot of young kids, so you would have to use your best judgment when taking children.

Scripted in Dickinson english, it may loose the interest of younger kids at times.

Although the 3-D effects were awesome, even my husband and I were a bit caught off guard at how dark, scary and nightmarish some of the scenes were. Had I known ahead of time, I would not have taken my 7 yr old. He basically covered his eyes through most of the movie.
I'm pretty bummed that they promoted this film as a great holiday movie akin to Polar Express. This was NOT a children's movie. Whoever edited this film DID NOT HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN and is pretty clueless. It didn't have to be that scary to get the point across.

Charles Dickens's story has been retold many, many times, with various interpretations ranging from grim and dark to light-hearted and slapstick. Not so with this version.
Jim Carrey is completely believable as Scrooge, and brings a depth of character to the old miser. The animation is stunning- it's worth the extra money to see this lovely film in 3-D.

I thought this movie was Very, Very well done. The 3-D effects were the best I have ever seen. However, the movie is down right scary. It is not appropriate for anyone under 9, really under 10. Also, you need to know the story first because it is hard to understand the dialogue (18th century old English) and there is usually dramatic music going on at the same time and you can't hear what they are saying. I think Disney should have toned it down to make it more Christmas and Family orientated and less of a nightmare before Christmas. They could have spent a little more time on the happy part and show how he realized being a good person and enjoying his life was worthwhile. I don't think I would want to see it again.

This movie really impressed me. The storyline and effects were awesome! Jim Carrey did a great job depicting the characters on this classic story. I took my 6 year old and although she laughed at most of the scarier (visual) parts, I can see how it may be a little frightening at times. Though i wouldn't deter anyone from taking young children, just be prepared that there are some louder, scarier scenes.

Great Movie! A real treat for the whole family. The graphics were amazing. The characters looked as close to human as I have ever seen. I can't even begin to tell you the good feeling I had when I left the theater. If you see nothing else this holiday season please see Disney's A Christmas Carol.
