This is by far one of the greatest re-told versions of this movie that I've seen. Completely enjoyed it, the animation and clarity are excellent. The details of the characters are excellent. A must see. My five year old fell asleep during it, he was not too interested in the movie, But my husband and I truley enjoyed it!!!

I have seen many versions of A Christmas Carol and read the book. This stays true to the sense of the book, while providing tremendous animation and additional elements. Acting was terrific, and the animators did a great job of having physical elements of the actors in the characters they voiced. While this is not a movie for small children (Jacob Marley creeps out adults), it will be enjoyed by older children and up.

I found myself smiling during the entire movie. It was really nice to see a remake of A Christmas Carol done so well! We had Scrooged a couple years ago...but nothing like this awesome 3-D experience. There were five of us that went to see it and all of us really enjoyed....I think my in-laws are still telling everyone about their movie experience. GREAT MOVIE
Oh yeah...I felt like Christmas shopping afterards.

I think this version of the Dicken's classic was wonderful. It is defnitely not for younger children as there are a few really scary scenes. Jim Carrey's voice is unrecognizible in all of his characterizations. He does a perfect job as Scrooge. The nitpickers will find things to complain about, but all in all a movie that should be a must see for the Holiday season. The 3D was fun but really unnecessary to the story itself. I will be seeing it again and adding to my holiday collection when out on DVD.

I was looking forward to taking my 7 year old daughter to this movie ever since I saw the first ad over 2 months ago. Although I was slightly disappointed it was well worth taking my daughter to see. 3D was good and she wasn't afraid of the ghostly scenes. I did talk to her about them before the movie just in case.

Some scenes were great but, the second or third time around it gets boring. Jim Carey was terrific as Scrooge. I was not impressed with the ghost characters at all! It seemed that Carey was forever flying into space or rolling around on the ground. The 3-D effects were almost no existant. Paying $9 on a $5 movie night to see this film was not worth it!

We all enjoyed this movie thoroughly!! My son kept reaching out his hands feeling as though he could touch the characters. He said it felt as though he was a part of the movie, and I guess that's the IMAX 3D experience. A must see for Christmas 2009!!

Very good animation and voices. Some humor and watching all the 'faces' of Jim Carey was entertaining. I wouldn't take young children. Some of the images would be too frightening to someone too young to understand symbolism.

I really enjoyed this version of "A Christmas Carol". I took my 6 yr (almost) grandson and he has never sat so well through a movie. It did not scare him at all. Only drawback was the "Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come"...I thought it could have been done much better.

It stays true to the book and the animation is fantastic. The two 7 year old girls I took got a little frightened at times and had a hard time following what was being said. Definitely wished I had seen it before paying for the girls to go. On the other hand, my 15 year old son and I loved it. Jim Carrey is as always AWESOME. In other words, don't miss it, but not really for little ones.

I went in with mediocre expectations and came out saying it was the best depiction of A Christmas Carol that I have seen. A lot due to the CGI, I'm sure. The only warning I would say is that it is not for kids under 8 or 9. I saw 2 families leave. I was happy I hadn't brought my grandkids thereby allowing me to enjoy the movie without worrying about them being frightened during certain scenes.

Not bad not bad. You have to see this movie in 3D anything less will be uncivilized. Jim plays his roles most excellently and the moments of flying are very easy on the eyes. The movie stayed a bit closer to the original story more so than other versions. The Ghost of Christmas Present and Scrooge pretty much steal the show. Go see it…and be Merry

I love the story, always have. It was definitely true to the story. The graphics were phenominal, especially seeing it in 3D. There were parts that because it was "Old English" talk, it was hard to understand what they were saying or meant. I as an adult had a hard time with that, so I know I child would. The PG rating was right on because of the ghosts and effects, small children might be scared seeing those images. It could have been longer though and gotten more in depth with past, present and future. It was a good movie though and Jim Carry is awesome as Scrooge's voice....and I think he was a few others as well.

The christmas carol is one of my christmas stories but this movie was just an alright movie for me. What I would recommend is that you wait for it too come out on disc. It really wasn't worth the price you have to pay to see the movie in a theatre.

The animation is the most impressive component of this movie, but keeping to the traditional story (classic retelling) was great, and the voice-acting and character expressions were excellent. The only complaint is that the movie could have been a bit longer (really wanted to have more exploration into the past/present/future with the ghosts).

I thought it was a great rendition of the original story, and the 3D effects were phenomenal! The PG rating is correct, young children would find some scenes too scary.

The most visually stunning film I've ever seen! And the script complimented the digital perfection beautifully. After decades of Dickens' classic interpreted by the likes of Mr. Magoo, Kermit, mickey Mouse, and Fred Flinstone, it was refreshing watching a version of Christmas Carol that stays true to the original story.
