Very disappointed in this movie. Would of much preferred NOT to see it in 3D, but in our area, we didn't have a choice. Very difficult to watch, and very disappointed in the ending.

A Christmas Carol is a favorite of the season. And every generation needs their movie of it, but this could have been so much better. The graphics are good, but the final Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come was so over the top as to be irritating. Too much emphasis was put on the 3D effect. Much of the scene became extraneous and a waste of film time. Other than this it was pretty good. I'd definitely recommend it as the "family Christmas movie" this year. But I won't buy it on DVD.
If you can find the DVD, the best version is still the 1951 Alastair Sim version titled originally "Scrooge", but in some DVD versions titled " A Christmas Carol". Spend your DVD money on this version.

The important word in the title is the word not listed "3D". I bought tickets to the movie thinking it was in 3D because I had seen the advertisement for the 3D version at this particular theater. However, what I saw was in 2D - BIG MISTAKE!. The movie was nothing special except for some graphics, which compared with other movie graphics came up lacking. Jim Cary came through all of the graphic makeup as is usual self - able to do most any character. Was it a "walk-out" movie - close, but not at $8+ per ticket. Bottom line - in 2D don't waste your time and $.

I am proud of Disney for sticking to the core purpose of a movie based on a novel. Dickens' tale is a dark story that teaches a lesson regarding morals and consequence . A+ for not furthering the dumbing down of American Culture and problematically sheltering our children. Merry Christmas!

They probably spent millions of dollars animating his face but other than that, it was a very boring movie, most scenes were very dark and depressing....honestly, you wont find a lot of holiday cheer in this movie. Movie should be titled "A HALLOWEEN CAROL"

I took my 7 yr old to this movie and she covered her face through most of it. It was too scary and graphic for kids. My expectations were too high for this film. The 3D effects were good, but I felt it was a waste of my money to see the 3D version.

The story gets a little lost among all the whiz-bang special effects (which are certainly impressive). There are some very beautiful moments and Jim Carrey does a fine job as Scrooge and all 3 Christmas ghosts. Disney glorifies and amps up the scary bits a little too much - would not take very young children to see it, therefore.

I took the family to see this movie. This was my 3yr olds first movie and i thought it would be special. The effects in this movie were beyond expectations and my little one loved it. The 3D was so amazing that I started to get irritated by the people that were blocking the screen only to realize that it was part of the movie. Ebenezer had his shoulder in the shot!! Absolutely leaps and bounds ahead of the 3D movies from my childhood. My other children ages 14, 15 and 16 also enjoyed this movie. We can't wait for the next 3D movie!
