My daughter felt the suspense and fear associated with the unknown paranormal theme of this movie. She hid under my jacket, and peeked out waiting for the inevitable!
I am happy to see a horror flick without the blood, death, torture, and cheese cake female theme typically found in this genre.
I would recommend this to other parents without reservation as to flesh and violence. But for myself, it was slow and predictable.

I was very disappointed in this movie based on the reviews that I had read. People were actually laughing at the end of the movie and I found myself wishing I had spent the $33 we forked out to see this movie on a different movie. It just wasn't what I expected. I went to a midnite Halloween screening, with only a few people in the audience. I was hoping to get a good scare, but the first hour and 20 minutes were very slow and banal, to build to the 5 scary minutes at the end. My companion fell asleep. This film started out very slow, I yawned for the first 10-15 minutes and was a bit bored. However, as it followed the same rules as the Mockumentary, "The Blair Witch Project, the progression of activity made me anticipate the next night scene. Unfortunately I had to shut my eyes during most of the non-essential day parts of the film due to the nauseating camera work. All in all I enjoyed the film and it was worth waiting through the painfully boring beginning and the try-not-to-puke parts just to see the horrifying, invisible demon terrorizing the unwitting couple. Frankly, if Micah had listened to Katie to begin with...anyhow...what an incredible moron.

After reading users' reviews on this movie, I could see it was either a "love it or hate it" type movie....not many in between reviews. I really enjoyed this movie, but it wasn't as suspenseful as I had anticipated...I did get scared, especially near the end, where most of the scary parts were....otherwise, it took forever to get to the end! While I was excited to go see a scary movie for Halloween. I felt confident choosing Paranormal Activity over Saw6. I was looking to be spooked not grossed out. From the beginning this movie felt like a stage drama, formulaically scripted to remotely resemble a documentary of fools.
I laughed several times as I patiently awaited to be scared by the paranormal. Then after what seemed to be at least 20 minutes, a door moves ... And that's pretty much as active as it gets for most of the movie.
The movie continues painstakingly with the male character trying to play the masculine hero and instead making predictable mistakes the audience knows will end in his demise... Unfortunately that end couldn't come soon enough.

I honestly didn't think that I would be as scared as I was. I was holding unto my boyfriend's arm. Trust when I say that I am a harsh critic of "scary" movies. But was surprised that this small budget film actually quenched what I had been wanting from other more expensive, Hollywood films. Maybe it's due to my family's long history with this sort of thing? And the film maybe just took me back there and that made it more scary? But scary it was! I told my best friend to not go and see it, since I know that she gets scared a lot more easily than I do! Two things i found difficult to believe were he wouldn't switch sides of the bed with her and she didn't call the demonologist. Considering this took nothing to make, no name actors, no credits, etc. I thought it was inovative and well done. For all who say they didn't like it, ask them if they didn't have a creepy feeling after seeing it. I did and I saw it twice and had that same creepy feeling both times. This is a terrible movie. After listening to many friends tell me how great and scary it was...we decided to go on Halloween...What a waste of time. You keep waiting for something to happen and when it FINALLY does you totally expect it. Please dont waste your $.

Movie was a bore. Never even came close to living up to its hype. I mean it was a good movie for the $15,000 it took to make the movie. I thought I was going to be jumping out of my seat. Never happened. Ending was predictable. Scary movie for teenages

it was ok like i could see the guy behind the door and when shes getting drug outa bed the wires around her legs. I was very disappointed they said it was the scariest movie ever... No it really wasnt they should of made it even more scarier thats just my oppinion
