This movie was not what I expected it to be. I am on a neverending search for a movie to scare me. For this movie to disturb me is a great feat. The thing that can freak you out about it is that everyone has experienced some type of haunting in there life. You can really relate to the characters andtheir experiences putting you in the movie. Okay so, After hearing that it was "the next Blair Witch of our generation" I was a little skeptical. Me, being 8-10 at the time of that movie, I was NOT frightened at all during the Blair Witch. (I'm a HUGE horror fan too...love getting the heck scared out of me). PA, however, was a different kind of scary. It was CREEPY as all F***. For me, I didn't jump out of my seat that often (However everyone else did) but there was like "oh...my...god" moments that kept you on the edge of your seat the entire time. It was really funny too. I RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO SEE IT. It's the best scary film I've seen of this year (besides Martyrs, noting can be as disturbing as that lol).

This movie is awesome it's even better if you don't read the synapses. Don't watch it from the 1st or 2nd row I got terrible motion sickness and had to close my eyes for most of the day time scenes. It was a great movie I just wish I could have watched it comfortably. The settings you watch a movie in are sometimes key to the enjoyment of the movie.

I kid not, the scenes where the couple is in the bed can be freaky (though I don't get scared during movies). Not only did they make most of the audience scream, but I couldn't figure out how they did some of the stunts. However, a good 3/4 of the film is handheld and I have never felt so sick from a movie. I had to walk out at one point because I was on the verge of throwing up. Maybe it was the size of the screen combined with the front where we were sitting, but I have never felt so sick from a movie before (I usually only get headaches). On the bright side, a lot of the daylight stuff didn't need to be watched, but just listened to, so I still could enjoy the awesome night scenes.

There were three or four truly original and scary moments. Most of what you see in the trailer makes up for the rest. Be prepared for the comdey stylings of Micah Sloat. His one liners really carried the movie through the lulls in action. Buy the DVD and watch it at home in the dark - will probably be much more effective. Still a good effort.

Well, I'll start off saying that this movie is definitely worth the money and the trip. I had to drive about 25 miles to see it and don't regret it at all. I think the ending could have been a little less 'hollywood-style,' but other than that, this move lives up to the hype and then some. They did a fantastic job of catching you off guard with the mix of the boyfriend's sarcastic nature and the intense scenes during the night. I hope when you see it, you are able to get into a showing that has a large audience. I think it helps the atmosphere when 200 people go from laughing at a scene to dead quiet when night time comes. That was what sent chills up my spine.

Perhaps not as many genuinely scary moments as the previews and reviews suggest, but the ones that are there are EXTREMELY effective.
You genuinely care for Katie and Micah, which makes the film work so well. Also, darkness has never been so creepy. Had to sleep with the TV on and wondering what I will do tonight.
Prepare for your back to be pressed against the seat from all the tension and creepiness. Sure, it builds slowly, but it WORKS well regardless and the film is all about mood and then BAM!
Poorly acted? Yea yea, whatever. Quit being so darn picky and enjoy the ride for what it is!

If you love that slow, creepy suspense filled movie...then this is the one for you! The movie does start off a bit slow at the beginning but makes up for it by the off-beat humor that you would see in any relationship. It does pick up and start to make you hold your breath and wonder what's next towards the middle though and then just all rolls together in the end, giving you a "jump in your seat, OMFG, what just happened" type of feel. Fair warning though...if you get motion sickness...take some meds before watching. With all the moving of the camera, it does start to make one woozy.

I had been hoping to be scared, and i can say that i was absolutely terrified by this movie. It begins slow, with a half hour or so going by before anything remarkable happens. They get you laughing alot, which was great because so few scary movies can juggle the humor and the scares as well as this film did. I will agree it took a bit too long to get to the climax, and that once it climaxed it was over which wasn't what i was expecting but it was effective. I can proudly say this movie kept me from going to bed last night. Highly Recommended for those who could handle it.

I invited a few friends to go with me, i was afraid it was going to be a big hoax or scam. i even called the theater for confirmation. i still thought it was a gimmick because i hadnt heard about it but on facebook. i convinced my friends we had to get their early. the movie was very twisted from the min i watched the trailer until the lights came on in the theater. by the end you will be asking yourself over and over as to what just happend. Then at the end it all comes together like Whoa, did that just really happen. Creepy.....i cant wait for the next thrill ride.

You want a movie that will scare you? THIS IS IT! No matter how macho you are and how much you say that you weren't scared...b- please! You know you were at some point whether it was just in one scene or throughout the whole movie! You feel what the couple is feeling, you just can't help but saying, "oh shoot, oh shoot, what the -"...and how I knew everyone was into it was cause when that camera time went from super fast to slow...EVERYONE IS QUIET THAN A MUG! Now THAT'S A GOOD MOVIE!

Amazing scary movie. It starts at the beginning and builds itself up throughout. By the end, I had the chills and couldnt stop shaking. The scariest movie I've seen by far. Definitely recommend it.

Not too many really "scare" me. This one was for sure the Scariest movie I've ever see. Went with the GF at a midnight showing in our area, she couldn't watch a single "night scene". This movie was filmed in a way to make if feel so life like and kept the eintire theater literally screaming. You could hear everyone in the building start to squirm and adjust themselves down and deep into their seats at the begining of every overnight scene. GREAT MOVIE AND I SUGGEST EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO SEE THIS!!!! I WOULD RATE THIS 10 OUT OF 5 STARS IF I COULD...
