I saw this movie and so far told everyone I talk to about it and how they missed out if they didn't go and see it! I so recommended this movie to everyone all ready! It has been one of the scariest movies I have seen and literally had me screaming and I actually bit my boyfriend at one point it got so intense. It is so good that when I was telling people about the movie I had goosebumps on my arms! lol...hope it hits the shelves cause if so it will for sure be in my movie collection!

i went in thinking that this was going to be like any other horror flick that i have seen. well i was very wrong. the fact that it was shot documentary style gave it a more disturbing feeling. the characters did a great job because by the middle of the film you are feeling anxious for them. everything seemed so real. so thats what makes it scariest of all. go see it demand it

I was amazed at just how intense this movie was. I was fascinated by the way it was filmed and the build up of the tension just made it amazingly creepy and scary. The guy sitting next to me in the theater was practically eating his sweater, he was so scared. Just superbly well done and absolutely wonderful acting by Micah and Katie. Can't wait to see this with more of my friends.

This movie was fantastic! It was done on such a small budget and really shows how well a movie can be done without all of the Hollywood glitz and glamour. The actors were very believable and it really felt as if they were a true couple. I was unable to sleep after seeing this movie!!!

This movie is definitely the scariest movie I've seen since I was a child watching Child's play and The Exorcist. I went with my girlfriend and she nearly peed her pants throughout the entire movie hahaha. AFter the movie she could barely sleep and kept waking me up... I absolutely love scary movies and nothng scares me but when I watched this movie last night I almost grabbed onto the stranger next to me. I would watch this over and over with every friend I know just to see their reaction. I watched the show with my teenage son who fears nothing. When we came home he asked me to go in his room and get his blanket so he could sleep in the living room....he was too scared to go in there. A+++++++++++++++

It was an awesome movie! Scared the heck out of me and still 2 days later, I'm still totally freaked! It was way creepier then I thought. and it was nice that they did not try and hype it up more. Actually, the trailers are pretty mild compare to the movie, so when you watch you are in for a big freaking surprise! I also read the alternate endings and got freaked out all over again!
Don't be surprised if you don't get any sleep for days!!! Make sure to pray and hold your rosary all night, that will help!

Unlike its predecessors, this version of the filmed-by-the-actors movie dispenses with the nauseous runnings of excitable people mostly in favor of a tripod. Except for the final, unneeded ten seconds of the film, this one is a perfect thriller.

If you're the type of horror fan that appreciates an atmospheric, dread-building spooky movie without the gore, than this one is a must! EXCELLENT low budget movie and I hope it becomes a cult classic like a few other low budget horror flicks. I'm from NYC and the only disadvantage about seeing a midnight showing is that unfortunately that's the preferred showing for young a**holes that don't know how to remain silent throughout a film.

There is nothing else to say since every review on here is dead on. Scariest movie ever made. Not the gore stuff either and you won't be able to predict anything that comes next. You will be freaked out for awhile. I saw it last nite and still find myself thinking...what if.
Bottom line, go see it while you can in the theater because in my opinion it was awesome watching everyone else JUMP, SCREAM and even CRY. Yes, I said CRY.
And buy your tix online here cuz both midnight theaters sold out.

If you love scary movies that keep you on your feet and clinging to your neighbor, this movie is for you. Definitely scarier then the blair witch project and worth the midnight showing. But do beware the shaky camera movements made me a bit nauseous, so keep in mind that it may do the same for you.

This movie was amazing. It was one of the best, if not the best, scary movie I have ever seen. It was extremely well made. They know exactly how to scare their audience. There was many moments where I had shortness of breath and as for the suspense? It wasn't "on the edge of your seat". It was "sit in the very back of your seat and pray". The movie was mind boggling. I haven't screamed like that in a very long time. It left me scared and shaking in my seat. Scary movie junkies need to see this. Not for the faint of heart ;D.

This movie so was so fresh and atypical of the horror genre that has recently always been just slasher movies. This movie was really hyped up but I thought it exceeded the hype and was much scarier than the trailer shows. The whole theater was gasping and jumping throughtout the whole movie (including myself) and by the end everyone was freaked. There was a girl in front of us that was crying after the movie ended (she looked really freaked out). I've always been a fan of horror movies that work because they're creepy by themselves; not because they constantly try to startle you. While this movie has jumpout moments the parts that were most disturbing were just plain creepy as h*@l. I am recommending it to everyone I know.

I saw this last night at north park 15. I'm a scary movie buff and my favorite films include The Exorcist, Alien, Amityville Horror, etc. This film is an instant classic and has not had me this scared after seeing a film in a long time! The Director/Writer and the actors did a phenomenal job on this! This film easily enters my top 3 favorites! No stupid teenager antics in this film! Expect sheer dread and terror!

I have seen just about every horror film, including Japanese/Chineese horror films....but no movie has shaken me like Paranormal Activity. At the end of the movie, I was shaky and it felt like my heart was in my throat. The anticipation is a killer....I dare to say this is the creepiest/spookiest movie I've ever seen! I am very hard to please when it comes to scary movies ( I hate slasher flicks & trite horror movies) and my husband is even harder to please. This movie was one of the scariest movies both of us have ever seen! At one point, I looked over at my husband and he had the look of sheer terror on his face! The theatre was sold out and people were screaming at some of the scarier parts. The movie follows you home -- good luck getting to sleep! We got home at 2:30 and couldn't get to sleep all night! Even today, I'm still a little a jumpy! Well done movie -- relies on the unseen to send chills down your spine. Best thing about this movie is its realistic value: what happens is inside the realm of possibility. Must see!

Sorry about the title but I had to let that out. 12 hrs later & I'm still FREAKED OUT!! This definitely has to be the CREEPIEST, FREAKIEST, & SCARIEST movie my husband & I have seen in a very looooong time. This movie perfected the art of playing on peoples' primal fear of the UNKNOWN & UNSEEN!! You try & prepare yourself for what's coming but you're NEVER really ready for it. An ABSOLUTE MUST SEE! Open yourself up to this movie and ENJOY the ride!! Good Luck & Have Fun!! Don't say I didn't warn you ;)

It was a good movie, I'll give it that. The simplicity of it leading towards such an epic ending. Overall those, for those who extremely over exaggerated it, really!? In all honesty, it wasn't that bad, I did enjoy the suspenseful moments though (:

Lucky for me that I ordered my tickets online early, because just about every person i heard walk by was saying "I can't believe it's sold out". The AMC in Houston was sold out, and people were sitting on the steps to watch this movie. All the crowd reaction made me feel good that movies like this are still being made. Every horror film I go to these days is a let down. There were moments in the film that made everyone jump, and turn their head, unlike other films in this genre where you can anticipate what coming. In Paranormal Activity, you know somethings coming, but just when you think it's not coming anymore, there it is. The timing in this movie is great. I love seeing the whole theater react. It was a great experience.

Simply the best and scariest horror movie i have ever seen. So realistic and terrifying. I was shaking when i left and could not sleep that night. It was nice to see a scary movie that dd not rely on gore or nudity. There was NONE of that. Just creepy things that will send chills through your entire body.
See it as soon as you can!!

Not scary like slasher films or Japanese horror films. This is different. This movie will mess with your head. After watching it, you'll find yourself being kept away by the smallest noises in your own house. They way the film executes its scares is in the little details. Sure, it takes awhile to get to the really crazy stuff, but the gradual buildup will have your heart pounding.
Every time something happened, it had the entire auditorium screaming. And after it ended? People were visibly shaken. I seriously couldn't stand up for about a minute after it ended.
Everyone should see this. It's good filmmaking. I even forgot it was a movie for awhile.
