This was a very well made movie. It was genuinley scary. Particularly because something like this could happen. The movie doesnt go overboard on effects and really plays on the the fear in your mind. The scary parts are broken up by pretty humourous dialouge as well, especially on the part of Micah. The end was pretty terrifying and one of my friends was totally freaked out and when it ended said I hate u guys for taking me here. Overall it was a scary movie that was actually....well...scary. Worth every penny!

Paranormal Activity was terrifyingly good! The story was well-crafted and the suspense was delivered in layers that got scarier each scene. The style in which the film was shot gave the audience more of a connection to the characters. It was interesting to see how Micah's curiosity grew, so did the audiences. I think the scariest thing about the film is that the audience was limited in what they could see on camera, leaving your imagination to fill in the blanks

My husband and I say this this morning/last night and let me tell you I had tears in my eyes for most of the parts. For being an independent film it was well set up and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! It really hits home and feels so real I couldn't even keep my eyes open for the last scene...hopefully they will offer this in more theatres so more people can see it.

I normally cannot sit through an entire scary movie without getting up to leave, but I found this movie to be really good. Even though I was scared the entire time...I thought it was a great scary movie. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. This movie had soo much hype that I had to see it. My girl and I watched it and am very happy to say that she and I both were satisfyingly scared. If you watch this movie, you will not be disappointed, it is not just hype. After watching it, random scenes pop up in your head through out your day, and sadly, even more at night. If you're looking to get scared in a way you haven't in a while when it comes to movies, no other movie will do it for you but this one. it gets a 5 out of 5 but a 9 out of 10 only because it wasn't free. I thought this movie was very good and very realistic looking. I went to the theaters thinking it was based on a true story, especially at the very beginning when they made a special thanks to the families and police department. The things they "catch" on video was disturbing and the whole time I thought, someone actually caught this on film, which made it that much more scary. I found out today that its not based on actual events, its a little disappointing, but I would still recommend seeing this movie

I expected this movie to be eery, maybe give me a fright a few times.
I was completely unprepared for how scary this thing was. For something that was shot on its budget, it absolutely caused me to sleep with my light on. This was extremely well done. Slow build-up to the end, but it's the little subtleties that make it such a good movie all the way through.

OMG!!!! after watching this we had to sleep with all the lights on and even put in some Christmas DVD's.. to get the happy thoughts coming.. even tho there was a theatre full of people, it felt as if we were alone.. during the day scenes u seen heads but once it went to night scenes, everyone sunk into their seats.. WOW, thank God that this movie was Fake. the only downside was that i got there at 11:30 and there where no seats for the 3 of us, so i decided to sit on the bottom. felt really sick and dizzy from the day scenes and the only things i could watch was the night one. but it was still scary... i was wondering if the chair could go back any further! what a rollercoaster ride. literaly.. head ache. DONT SIT IN THE FRONT!!!! But its a must see!

This is one of the scariest movies I have seen in a LONG time without the blood and gore. Acting was very good and I felt like i was watching a home video of a good couple with chemistry. I could totally relate to the actress as well, because I had the same experiences she did as well, which is probably why it freaked me out! You will definitely be sleeping with your lights on for a while.

This was a good movie, but scarier than the Exorcist like people are saying??? Not even close. Not the scariest movie of all time, but entertaining.
