To begin with, AMC Northpoark 15 started this movie fifteen minutes late! This movie had a lot of action via a non-professional movie camera. Too much camera action going back and forth, enough to make a person dizzy! The "actual" PA scenes were very good, enough to keep you glued to the screen. Sadly to say, the ending is much to be desired and may have ruined the whole film. Also, of the 400 people who were in the auditorium only about half thought it was very scary, the other half was disappointed as I was.

Do not see this movie if you truly believe in realities other then our own. I saw people when the lights went on after the movie with looks on their faces I have never experienced (anywhere) before!! This could actually damage a person's psyche! I swear , to whom ever reads this, I'm not trying to do reverse psychology to get anyone to see this. I'm so so tired of seeing clips of movies, being excited about the movie, seeing it....and it sucks. However, "Paranormal Activity" is not one of THOSE movies. Hollywood should take notice, as Paranormal Activity returns horror movies to their roots. Reminiscent of Hitchcock, much of the film's greatest moments are due to the suspense and "hidden" events that make your imagination go wild - and nothing is more scary than what your mind can create. This movie is absolutely terrifying. I have seen many cliche horror movies, but this is not that. The experiences this couple had were so horrific, it chilled me to the bone. I absolutely recommend it, but be aware, you will have trouble falling asleep after watching this - I know I did.

I'm not a huge fan of the gory, plotless flicks like Final Destination and Saw, etc., so I was very happy to see a movie that was suspenseful, kept you on your toes and felt very realistic. It was even pretty funny in the beginning. Definitely a quality movie worth paying the bucks to see it. The ending was great, too. Go see it if you can!

This was almost perfectly constructed. Throughout the movie, I found my eyes scanning every inch of the screen, trying to catch a clue as to where the next scare is going to come from. It takes a little while to get to the real scares, but the back story makes the scares come from a real place. Definitely recommended if you're looking for an unconventional horror movie that relies more on a genuine sense of fear rather than a collection of "gotcha" moments.

I love horror movies, I love scary movies... but I especially love movies that get under your skin. PA is not just a scary movie, but very unsettling! This movie reaches in to your psyche and shows that sometimes home is not safe either! The acting was very natural. I appreciate that the cam was steadier rather than the shaky cam technique, which so many movies go for now for that "realistic" look. The best part about the movie is the slow rise to climax and the incredible finish with very little use of FX or gore. It's simplicity in technique leaves you to your imagination and the anticipation becomes too much to bear! It's very original, so go see it for Halloween and bring someone to hold onto!!

I can't even believe how fantastic this turned out to be. Of course i assume it would be decent at best, but still only moderately scary, but was i wrong in both aspects. Everything was near perfect, the story, the acting, the 'directing', and then the scares. Not only does it deliever on the scares but it builds plenty of tension, and a piling sense of dread so when the words NIGHT goes across the screen you already prepared yourself to be freaked out... and the night time eventually came too soon whereas your like please give me a chance to catch my breath... which made it all worthwhile.. Go see it, and guarantee you will see it again!!!

Spooky! Kept you on the edge of your seat. Some slow moments in the beginning but then it took off. The type of filming made you feel like you were there. We were looking for some more scares. The midnight showing added to the fear factor but it didn't keep us from sleeping when we got home.

I haven't seen a great horror film in quite a while. Nevermind the fact that this is considered a low budget film, as I have seen high dollar films that were snorefests. This film feels very real, and it draws you in to the evil that is slowly growing more and more violent. Nothing like watching 300+ teens and adults become dead silent 4-5 times in a film, given the norm of theater chatter and texting during a movie, but everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was motionless. No talking, no moving, no chewing...very eery to see a film bring that out of an audience. Not to mention the fact that seeing 300+ people literally JUMP or duck at the end was priceless. I am a LONGtime horror fan, and this movie has finally brought it home...
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great movie. It was a little slow getting started but thanks to the comedic Mikah it was very entertaining in between the "Paranormal Activities". The audience was rolling on some parts and then screaming on other parts. A great blend of comedy and total freaky scares. Loved it!

I saw this movie last night. Holy moly! I love it but it creeped me the heck out. I couldn't sleep at all. My husband had to hold me the whole night. Anyways it was great how it kept building up to the end. Perfect. I screamed really loud and almost in tears because I was so terrified. Let's just say I walked out of the theatres shaking. It's seriously that good. Words can't explain how great that movie was and how I want everyone to see it. My husband didn't believe in any of that stuff really.....now he does!!! This movie is unforgettable. Simply hands down the scariest movie of all time.

This is one of the best horror movies to come out in a long time! It doesn't go overboard and pretty much plays off of your fear. Very Scary!!!
