I had two problems with this movie, first off they show the end of the of the movie in the trailer and second they built the movie up to have it end rather quickly. There were some really great original scares in the movie but I think on the whole it could have been scarier. I have to stay the movie stayed with me in the way that I was thinking of ways for it to be even scarier. It just seemed like too much of a build up for how it actually ended. I would recommend seeing this movie, just not paying $29.00 to park and then $12.00 for the movie. I think it will have more of an impact if you sit at home and watch it before you go to bed, if you dare!

I knew the storyline was made up and I knew what was happening wasn't real. But they have it set up like a home camera in a live film shooting, it scares you and gives you the chills. A movie like this hasn't scared me in years and I very much enjoyed it. How scared was I? I still have to sleep with cartoons on just before I go to bed and it's been 3 days now! Great movie! I highly recommend it!

When I saw the trailer for this movie I knew I had to go see it, I am a huge fan of horror movies but I never get scared, this was the first time in a very long time that a movie gave me goose bumps. This movie had great actors Katie and Micah, the whole story was based around this couple and the pain they had to indure with an unseen evil force. Even when I went home I was still thinking of this movie and I was afraid to go asleep for fearing what might happen when I closed my eyes. This is one of the best horror movis I have ever seen!

I really had high hopes for this movie because of all the hype, unfortunately thats all it is. I left the theatre disappointed. They could have shortened the movie by an hour. The movie is hard to see because it only shows at midnight at one theater, and it sells out quickly. Its concept is copied from the Blair Witch Project, but this movie is, unlike Blair Witch Project, actually scary. Also, the camera isn't as shaky as in BWP. The actors were believable; they seemed like a real couple and must have had some chemistry. Although the characters were annoying, and sometimes repetitive (most likely because their lines weren't scripted). As the film moves towards the climax, the suspense becomes greater and greater. It is definitely a scary movie.

Absolutely freaky! get ready to hold your breath and say omg....alot. what makes it so scary is that i could happen and you feel like it really is happening to this couple. sometimes the simple striped down movies are the scariest. don't need all the digital effects and twisted plots. did care for the last few seconds with her and the camera, the movie did need that, kinda cheesy, but all in all, AWESOME thriller....definetly in my top 5!!

"Paranormal Activity" is hidden gem of a film . It proves the old adage that "less is more." The build up and the slow progression of frighterning atmosphere and sense of dread is done gradually and subtly. It draws the audience into the action as it unfolds. I will not give away anymore.This is a simple idea that gave me goosebumps throughout the film and I even leaped out of my seat (I don't think that has happened since I was a kid). Also felt that it was better than "The Blair Witch Project" which merely had close-ups of characters being hysterical. This film knows how to up the ante and push our buttons and does so with success. A must-see, especially for those looking for a real scare during the Halloween season.

First of all I'm 51 years old and not a fan of the blood and gore because I don't find it scary. I grew up with movies that were more entertaining because they were more psychological then visual. When the Exorcist came out I was 16 and that was the scariest movie I had ever seen. I believe in God so therefore I have to believe in the Devil. What made "Paranormal" so good was the fact that is was all psychological. NOTHING can scare you more than the visions you can conjure up in your own mind. It didn't scare me like Exorcist did but this is the best movie I have seen since. Very entertaining and will keep you on the edge of your seat.

This movie had me holding my breath and gripping the side of my chair. I liked the fact that the movie wasn't gory, the suspense of not knowing what was going to happen next was great. If you ever wonder what scary things can happen at night, you gotta see this movie!

This movie was one of the most disturbing movies i have eve seen in my life. The ending was amazing, but yes this movie kept you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole movie. I sleep with a night light on in my room since seeing this movie, no joke.
