I just saw this movie at a midnight showing sitting in the aisle of a packed movie theater. I watch a lot of horror films and I don't scare easy I haven’t felt this way after a movie like this since Blair Witch. The after effect that it leaves once you've left and are left with your thoughts is one I haven't felt in a while. Like most horror reality type movies this movie does not follow the rules, there’s nothing predictable about this film every scare is original and unexpected. It was fun watching the audience reactions after each scare. Even the expected scare scenes are scary. The scariest ending I've seen to date.

This is by far the only horror film that has actually given me goosebumps and made my heart race since forever. This has also been the only horror film I've been to where the whole audience reacted just like they do in those "real audience reaction" bits they show for other movies, a couple actually walked out which impressed me quite a bit. It does start a little slow but like all movies its just to build up for the main event or events in this case which genuinely are frightful.

This IS the scariest movie I've seen in a looooong time. The first hour of it is a little creepy, but humorous because of the boyfriend's comments. It started to slow down a little too much, but let me tell you that the last half hour makes it all worth it. I forced my husband and his friend to see it with me and they loved it too. What makes it so fun is the audience's reaction to it. Man can some people scream! I'm proud to say that I was not one of them, but instead I was one of those "cover your eyes and peek out" people. haha This movie was a lot of fun and I did lose a little sleep that night.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! If you saw the trailer, you saw the movie. There were probably 2 actually scary parts that were not on the trailer and that was it. They get you with the loud noises but it was a BUMMER. Not to mention they make you see it at midnight which makes it more intense BUT the scary movie never happened. I'm a tremendous fan of simplicity in my scares. I have no use for flash and gore and in-my-face bogus chills and thrills.
Oren has taken the "found footage" premise of horror film making and has blown the rest clear out of the water!
Brilliantly done, and terrific at staying with you after the film is over. I still catch a chill from time to time pondering the movie and it's been almost a full week since my screening.
Highly recommended, BUT...if you have not yet watched the trailer, DO NOT WATCH IT!!! The primary trailer gives too much away, in my opinion. Just see the film and prepare to be freaked.

Ok, this movie was definately no Blair Witch Project because the director made sure he added major closure at the end! I LOVE scary movies...but after seeing this movie, I don't think I can handle anything related to Paranormal again! Seen this last night with my friends! It is about time that they made a horror movie that was actually scary. What was so good about it, makes you think and it sticks with you long after the movie ends. During the last 30 minutes, a lady actually ran out of the theater! movie is slow paced, girl's acting is short of believable until the end, definitely not the scariest movie of all time. the hype left me wanting to see this movie badly, however me and my 14 year old daughter went to see it and i only jumped in one scene and my daughter said the only part that freaked her out was the last 60 seconds of the whole movie. i recommend seeing it but wait for it to come out on dvd and go see a movie that's worth the price of admission.

This movie is bone chilling !!!! I went with three of my friends, two of us were nearly in tears the last half hour. Although be aware if you get motion sickness with a moving camera this may make you a little bit sick. Overall a terrifying film where you want to leave your seat or even look away and you just can't stop watching........ Also i scared the poo out of me literally LOL

All I can say is that this movie was more than I expected. It started out a little slow, but progressively got more freaky as it went on. At the end of it all, I came out of the theater literally shaking. When my friend and I walked outside, everyone from the 3 theaters that ran the movie was outside smoking a cigarette; even if they didn't smoke! It was even more creepy that it was set in San Diego, which is where I live, and mostly because you couldn't tell if it was based on true events or not. The fact that all of this could have really happened adds a different element of scary to this movie. I would definately recommend it!
