You know how you usually just sit there and watch a movie, then at the end you are like yeah it was good and that's it. This movie will give you goosebumps and it will send shivers down your spine. This movie is absolutely frightening. I can't say that I jumped out of my seat... but I can say that I have never had the hairs stand up on the back of my neck or gotten the chills so often during a movie. The pace is slow at times but appropriate as it illustrates how by their behavior and actions, they are slowly giving the demon power over their lives.

Saw this movie last night. First of all, I must say it takes A LOT to freak me out when it comes to movies. So after reading all the reviews and hype, I actually gave this movie the benefit of the doubt. This movie had a few moments that made the audience jump. I didn't leave with creepy feelings or any problems sleeping. I admit, I should never be a movie critic. I guess if you want a truly disturbing movie,see the ORIGINAL Last House on the Left or Deliverance. Those movies are truly worth watching if you want that feeling. I have never been so let down with a movie. My fault though for reading and going by what other people said. If you are a die hard creep movie seeker, watch the movies listed above. If you scare easy, watch P.A.

If you've ever seen "The Blair Witch Project", then this style will be familiar to you. The movie is presented as a home recording of something that happened as it was experienced by the characters in the movie.
The character of Micah was somewhat difficult to believe. Here's a guy who managed to continue to record footage of escalating paranormal activity, yet he refused to take it seriously and encourages further escalation through his misguided experiments and taunts.
There are no "in your face" monsters in this movie. Most of the fear is generated by your imagination and what you can't see. I think it worked well and was a refreshing change from the special effects laden horror flicks we usually see.

This movie is one of the creepiest I've seen in a while. The home video style movie made it feel so real. I did find myself feeling nauscious with all the camera movement. However the scary scenes helped me forget I ever felt sick. The 2 main characters experiencing the hauntings seem like they can be your best friends, making it even more creepy. This movie will def make you think twice about sleeping alone for a few days.

In the age of special effects and over done brutality and gore, this movie gives the genre a refreshing feel. I never felt that the motion of the camera was too burdensome on the eyes like Blair Witch. It was amazing how scared an entire theater could get over something as simple as a light turning on or how the heavy sound of unknown footsteps made my hairs stand up. The end of this movie punctuated the evening nicely. This movie was earning its money way after it ended, giving us a very uneasy night of sleep.

i bought tickets for my whole family and still is the topic of our conversation since we seen it on Sunday the 4 of October. very impressive because my boyfriend is a skeptic and he basically laugh though the whole movie while everyone else was jumping and screaming....... til the end when he screamed like a biaaaatch. He said it was a good movie and he was very entertained and that's a lot coming from him because he doesn't believe in the paranormal. By the way we couldn't sleep when we got home including my skeptic boyfriend. He played it off and went downstairs and said to me, Honey ima go watch the sports channel i said really LOL. All in all it was a great movie and i will recommend it to everyone.

I thought the movie was extremely scary, intense, and freaky. I loved it. The only thing I had a problem with is with the trailer for it that I had seen online. In the trailer, it shows a part of a scene that was supposed 2 scare the ish out of me 10X more, but since I had scene the trailer, I kinda was expecting it more than I should have. Regardless, it was an awesome movie. I definitely recomend it to all fam and friends.

I'm very interested in all things paranormal, so I was excited to see this movie. I thought the concept was very clever and it definitely felt real. It started out slow, but picked up later on. The last 30 mins or so were rather terrifying. My biggest complaint was the shaky camera, it was really nauseating. I recommend seeing it in the theater, if only for the audience reaction!

I guess I can see how this movie was interesting to see for some people. It was something that had me watching the corners of the screen.. but it wasn't a very good flick. I don't mean to knock it so negatively, it just wasn't very good.
I have honestly seen more ghostly activity that scared me a bit on Ghost Hunters, and that can be boring at times. It is definitely a "couple's" kind of flick. I say wait for DVD.. Iw as pretty disappointed.

This movie was DEFINTELY one of the scariest movies i've seen in a long time! There were only a handful of "scary scenes" but they were scenes that I will not forget!! The only one complaint I had was the fact that the movie was really nauseating. The characters were filming the paranormal activity in the house so the movie was really shaky. My brother told me about this movie and asked me if I wanted to see it. He said it was the scariest movie he's ever seen. I saw it with him last night with some friends and loved it! The movie is shot with a cam like Cloverfield but the camera never gets shaky or jerky and didn't make me feel sick at all.
The movie feels like you're watching real events rather than a movie which is one of the reasons it's so scary. The whole movie is intense. If you are a fan of horror movies this is a MUST see.

Great low budget horror movie, smartly made and perfectly executed. You brace yourself everytime they go to sleep! But it's a movie you have to see in theaters, without the big screen and the crazy sound system you might miss some of the small nuiances this film makes.
Definitely go see it, it's a fun watch!

Okay so the recordings are kinda like blair witch project but better! its super scary....kinda like taking the place of the exorcist!!! must see movie....would recommend to all like crazy!!! i dont know about seeing it twice though...i think i would not sleep ever again! :)

I saw the trailer for this movie, and I was so excited I couldn’t wait to see it. I drove an hour to Ann Arbor where it was playing and waited in line, where my friend and I were the FIRST people to be told it was SOLD OUT! Then I found out a week later that it was playing closer, so I got a group of people together and bought tickets ahead of time. My friend leaned over near the end of the movie and told me she was bored. I was too. The best parts of this movie were Micah, the guy, because he was funny and such a bro through their "experience". I wasn't prepared to see a funny movie though. If a movie trailer tells me that people left the theatre "physically shaking", I want to be scared! DON’T SEE IT! If you really want to, rent the DVD.
