Yea, saw it last night. I think the movie was ok. I mean I liked it, the characters were great, but what I didnt like was that the whole movie was just talking. There wasnt really much scary action going on. I only jump when I experience something really scary. I didnt find myself jumping at all during this movie. Overall I did like it though. I probably would recommend someone to see it. Im pretty sure there are others that are much more easilly scared than I am.

I guess if you go into this movie thinking its going to be the scariest movie ever, you psyche yourself out because it wasn't! It was a great movie for its 15k budget but I found myself laughing at the characters more than I was scared of the "demonic being" haunting them. The only time I was freaked out & actually jumped was at the very end of the movie. Great advertising ploy on having the audience demand the movie, suckers everyone in :)

Do not get me wrong here folks! As far as "shaky camera" films go, this one is like "The Blair Witch Project".......but it doesn't suck. I read one review and didn't spoil the actual film by even watching a trailer for it before last night when going to see it and I'm happy I didn't. I'm not saying it wasn't creepy and oh, the use of binaural tones was great and very very clever! Overall, as far as the films goes for me, there was nothing in it or of it that I have not seen before on and episode of "Ghost Hunters" mixed with other haunted house movies of years past. Personally, I slept like a baby lamb.

I have to admit for a low budget movie it was excellent! Never in my life have i gotten the goosebumps or screamed so loud in any movie. The beginning was very misleading and made you think this movie wasn't going to be scary because Micah's sarcasim had everyone laughing. Definitely do not underestimate this movie, Blair Witch Project has nothing on this movie. Yes, there is a lot of moving around but i did not get motion sickness. Go see it! Worth every penny.

Not a bad movie, but not a great movie either. I'm glad they didn't rely on cheesy CGI effects to scare people. They used old school scare tactics very well. Overall, it's like a new version of Blair Witch. Not very original, but does accomplish its task of scaring viewers.

I was so excited about this flick, all the hype had us almost driving 3 hours away, then when I saw that it was showing only at 1030pm, I almost went by myself because it was only during the week and couldn't find somebody fast enough go before I thought..it wasn't playing anymore. I'm so glad it revealed that it was showing at regular times starting on Friday. But I did have my husband take off early to beat the crowd...not. No crowd for the 330pm not for the 550pm either. I almost dosed off a couple of times and...so did my husband. It was too slow in so parts. But I did like the suspense, it was believable until the end. The whole time we kept saying that is why we have dogs!

Ok everyone thinks this is Blair Witch redone, I don't se any similarities. The movie isn't hurky jerky it's shot real well. It had moments where my girlfriend leaned over and said "oh that guy acts just like you" so charecters and reactions are believable. It is amazing that the movie is shot all inside one residence and still has the depth to feel like it has real substance. At one moment I thought my girl actually ruptured my eardrum with her screams and I left with sweat running down my back. Great flick must see in theater.

I left the theater literally shaking! the movie was a great thrill ride for anyone in the mood to get freaked out. i loved the characters Micah was hilarious and Katie was traumatizing! great plot and the ending was shocking a perfect movie for the theater experience. and i would say the camera work throughout the movie wasn't bad at all I didn't get "motion sickness" like some of the other reviewers complained about but anyways it was a great movie for the experience and I would def recommend it for any adult not children to watch.

This movie literally scared the dickens out of me. I went home, stayed up until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore, grabbed my cat to ward off evil spirits, and locked the door. It was a mixture of hilarity and "that's freakin' scary". The movie was fantastic in the scare department, I never knew what hit me (until the end.) Who knew a slaming door would be so scary? But the audience reaction was great. No shushing in that theater. Watch it with a friend, or ten...

The movie was OK but definitely did not live up to the hype. I actually laughed a lot more than I was scared, however, if you're looking for an OK scary movie to go see during the month of Halloween, go for it. If you're looking for a truly great scary movie then this may not be it. I literally jumped twice but that was it. A little over an hour of the movie is just filming of the couple and their love life which was cute but not horror worthy.

I'm a hard core horror film person. I keep hoping something will come along that will SCARE ME!! Ive seen all the old "SCAREY" movies and its hard 4 people today to touch those in terms of fear and originality. I know lots of people in the theatre were freaked out but 4 me....not at all. The characters were good. This wuz a good idea but the movie could have been taken a bit further. I think if there had been more "DEMONIC" activity then they really would have had sumthing!!!

It was an ok movie. A lot of suspense, but doesn't really scare you. To compare it to two movies it is kind of a mix between the Blair Witch Project and The Exorcist. It falls far short of both. If you really want to go see a scary movie go a head and see it, but if you are looking for a good film don't go.

If you have any problems with motion sickness, do not attempt to watch this movie. It literally made me sick. I left the movie early as I couldn't handle the nausea any longer. I may have toughed it out had it been more interesting or scary. It was extremely boring but I will concede that it may have gotten better after I left.

I walked into the movie with just the simplest knowledge of the story. What I saw was a very uneasy film to sit through. The scares are either very subtle or very disturbing because you don't know what the next second will bring. The use of sound effects and lighting was incredible, and the characters are stronger than I thought. I have only one problem with the film and that was the very last 20 seconds of the film, which after the big "punch", became laughable. But I recommed to all this excellent horror film.

The movie was slow to start. I did not like how it made me so nausea. I felt like I was going to throw up. With this said, it was scaring towards the end. I found myself screaming a lot towards the end. Even the couple next to us walked out of the movie and there were other couples that left in the middle of the movie as well. I saw it last night and even now I am still spook out from it. I can't even go to the bathroom by myself. It's that scary. It's not about the activity that occured in the movie but the thought that it can happen is the scary part, The movie did a great job at portraying a realistic couple who is going through these paranormal activities.

We saw the movie last night and we both thought it was one of the worst movie we have seen. It was not scary at all. The Haunted Mansion at Disney is more scary than this movie. The acting is quite poor that our audience was laughing in parts (paranormal guy who came back a 2nd time was so unbelievable is only on eof many examples). The story is really lacking as if there was really this going on in a house people would go stay at a hotel until it was gone. If you are a 12 year old who wants to show off in front of your friends that you can fake scream this movie may be for you. Cable has scarier paranormal shows than this movie and they are real. This was not a scary movie at all, if anything it was more comical. Barely worth watching on DVD. Please do not waste your money, nothing scary about this at all. Not sure what all the hype was or why everyone keep giving it 5 stars. Everyone in the theatre was very displeased with it. People were booing at the end of it all.

This movie was definitely eerie and will have you thinking about it the next day. The ending was unexpected. I am so sick and tired of these high budget ultra special effect type movies that are constantly being released. Hopefully this will be a lesson to these high salaried high payout producers, directors and actors that you do not need millions and millions of dollars to create a great movie that will scare you and have people talking.

I have to admit when they said scariest movie I was really expecting something to freak me out. This was more about the building of suspense than actual in your face scare and I think that was done very well! The overall movie to me was boring and the gratuitous use of the "F" word was distracting to say the least. There are so many ways that this film could have gone but I figured the end out within the first 30 min of the movie. I guess having lived in a haunted house made me immune to most of the scenarios but it is a great premise and interesting idea and I commend the director for showing Hollywood that you can make a good suspense for under 20K

I first heard about this movie on the radio where they played only the audio from the trailer. The majority of reviews deemed it the most terrifying or scariest movie in the last "10" years, more so than the Excorcist. I heard fellow movie goers left crying and getting sick. And being that I enjoy paranormal or "real" horror such as things that can actually happen, not like the Jason or Freddy Krugers I couldn't wait to see what I was in for. Unfortunetly, I was let down extremely hard. At no time should this movie be deemed a horror film or even a good one at that. I enjoyed the low budget effect of this movie, and the comedic moments were pretty good, but as far as horror or being scared, this rates a 1 on a scale of 10.

I was very skepitcal going to see this film. I was not a fan of Blair Witch and with all the comparisons, I was afraid it would be another dissapointment. I have been startled, jumped out of my seat, grossed out, amazed at the special affects in many a horror film... But I have never had a movie send shivers up my spine. I loved it! I aplaud Oren Peli's take on this low budget scarefest. No special affects, No big name actors, and little time...He gets the audience to get caught in their own minds, thoughts and above all...FEARS. Thank you
