The movie was super creepy. Its was totally obvious that it wasn't real footage, but nonetheless, the movie was still scary. The humor and sarcasm was really hilarious and the acting was very good! I saw it twice and i definitely recommend this to anyone who likes creepy movies!

It is absolutely amazing how the simplest made movies can be so intensely frightening. This movie is a horror classic in my opinion. I can understand why many want to compare it to the Blair Witch Project, but this movie is way scarier. The comments about people walking out are true indeed. The theater I went to was packed, and several people just had to get up and leave. I honestly feel like there was some authenticity there; it was just too real. Unless you are a moron this movie is guaranteed to scare you and leave lasting terror in your head afterwards.

From the begginning it kinda feels like a normal movie but as it advances you can see how horrifiying this is! It´s about a girl that´s been haunted by a demon since she was 8 years old! With a spooky camera angle night after night you watch how things get worse and how his boyfriend likes the "paranormal activity"
I saw it alone! but it´s a movie you should definitely see with friends to increase the fear factor!

From the start of this movie we were following a couple with there own movie camera, there was a lot of bouncing and spinning, this gave me a heaadache. This movie happened in a 21 day period that kind of reminded me if The Amityville Horror, with the time line and all. as the days went by the activity worsened and got more exciting and suspenceful but in my opinion really was not scary. I would tell my friends to see it because it was fun, but see it with friends, my friends reactions made the movie more exciding. Also, some of them did seem to be truly scared, but again I did not.

If you go in thinking that you, as a viewer, are "supposed to be stupid " enough to believe it is real footage...then you will surely be disappointed. If you just enjoy it as a movie...it's ok. I think the acting was quite good, actually... If they had a bigger budget and used real film or high quality video and made it a regular movie it would have been great. The Blair Witch has been done already.

This movie more than lived up to the hype. While watching it, you think to yourself "Wow, this is pretty creepy and intense." But the real test is afterwards. Good luck going to to sleep after you watch this movie! If you say you were able to sleep the night you saw this movie, I'm sorry, but you're a liar! This movie is one of the most intense movies I've ever seen. The intensity builds and builds and becomes suffocating at times. This film is well done. The filmmakers milk the whole "based on true events" gimmick to max effectiveness with no beginning or end credits. Very, VERY well done, intense, and creepy. This film really makes you think, "WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SLEEP?"

It is intense and genuinely scary and will keep your attention until the end. Its filmed as an amateur documentary by Micah and Katie the two main characters who are easy to relate to as each event happens. The movie is not gory but relies on your imagination which is the truly scary part. See the movie with a large audience if you can.

This is a very blairy witch project although I did like it wayy better. Its not that scary, it would have been more effective If I would have been home seen it by myself or with only couple of people, I wanted to punch the people screaming before something even happen and making stupid comments and yelling during the movie it just took away from it. My recommendation is WAIT when it comes out on DVD I'm sure it will scare the cr*p out of you. Also because it so home made the camera movement made me sick during the whole thing I though I was gonna throw-up, so just be aware you might get motion sickness.

Perhaps the most terrifying part of the movie was how convincingly real it was. The acting and filming style in this movie were perfect - to the point where it genuinely felt like I was watching real-life footage. The best part of the movie was the build up of suspense and dread. It was done so well it became a masterful manipulation of the audience's emotions and reactions. After the movie, I was literally shivering from being so tense for a whole hour and and a half. This is probably one of the best movies I have ever seen. Will I watch it again? No way. Not because it wasn't good, but because I don't want to sit through such a terrifying movie again.

This movie was aawesome and i got my money's. Its definetly better than all these horror movies out that try so hard to scare you!!

I will say this first. I'm a very jaded horror fan. I can still feel tension from a good movie, but not fear. This movie actually scared me. It's definitely a slow burn kinda movie that just builds the terror up to a boiling point and believe me when it boils over you will be terrified.

I very much enjoyed the film all together. The acting was so natural, I could not even call it acting...it was that good. The atmosphere and suspense were done to perfection. As a film experience, it was top notch. I have never seen a haunting depicted so well without being lame or cliche'. This felt so natural that even what cliche' or plot device you might recognize was still tolerable. As a person in ministry I found it thought provoking and sad at the same time. Whether you believe in God or not, this kind of stuff does happen. Lots of applications to be drawn from this story. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FILM!
